Ron the Customer Service Representative went out of his way to understand where my problem lay- I had caused it with my bank and shamefully I was complaining. He traced every misplaced transaction and patiently and courteously solved every one of them for me. Thank you so much. You went far beyond my expectations and you won me over Ron
I used escrow.com to purchase equipment and upon waiting three days for confirmation of receipt of funds I was informed that the money was no where to be found. Why? After talking to a few agents, one from Manila, one from Australia and another from online chat, I found out that Escrow.com updated their system last week and for some reason mixed up the escrow instructions using the bank name as Bank of America and the Swift code and routing number as Wells Fargo. The result is funds sitting in limbo because it can't be directed to any account. It happens to be a holiday and it will take yet another day to get someone on the phone to figure out the mix up thus holding up the purchase and sale. NEVER USE NOR TRUST!
Escrow.com was convenient to use and gave me peace of mind about the largest Online purchase I have ever made. Great website, and they do a good job of also having a human guid you through the process. Manuel R. Did a great job!
Have used Escrow.com to sell 50k+ in domains. Easy to use, every transaction has been safe, and their customer service reps are always on it. Have used it a few times for things other than domains (even sold a car once) and was happy with those sales as well. Good site to have in your pocket for buying or selling online, too much fraud on the internet to not protect yourself.
I made a mistake signing up for an account on Escrow.com and knew it immediately but couldn't quite figure out how to fix it. I called the customer service line and Kana walked me through the very simple process without making me feel like an idiot. I'm grateful.
The process went smoothly enough, but at certain points I (the seller) as well as the buyer were confused by the poorly designed UI of Escrow.com. Things that should have been obvious to us — for example, how to notify Escrow.com that we had completed a certain phase and therefore our counterpart should have been notified — just weren't obvious. The functionality is all there, but it's like any software that's been designed without sufficient testing on normal, everyday users.
An absolute nightmare. Mine was a simple collector car transaction and should have required one week at the very most to complete. Escrow.com has had my money for a month now and I've had the vehicle for three weeks! The seller is threatening to report the vehicle "missing" and send the sheriffs to my house, impound the vehicle and arrest me! And this was a man that prior to dealing with escrow.com was very easy to work with. No end in sight after too many phone calls and emails to recall and I'm at a loss as to what to do next
We were selling a domain and were concerned about doing it safely for both parties. Escrow.com handled everything and did it in record time. They are extremely professional and more than anything... friendly!
Escrow.com is the worst to use for a middle man payment. Escrow does not follow anything in their policies. Just be aware it is easy for any buyer to steal Your assets. Even if the buyer does not return anything back to you. Escrow will not do anything and their return period is false. The buyer can easily take your assets and escrow will not release the funds to you no matter what their policies say. They are liars and they do not do their job correctly. You're better off using PayPal or a different money transfer service. I sold a business and domain to a buyer and he disappeared. I no longer have the business and escrow never paid me. It has been over 4 months and still nothing and they just keep ignoring my emails. Escrow needs to be shut down at this point. They are a waste to use and they are no help if you have a problem. I will continue to pursue legal action against them.
The dude I spoke with was very professional, attentive and knowledgeable. Wish I remembered the name. Had mistake with my email address when signing up, email support had a rude tone said I have to create another account. But the dudes I got t on phone helped me and verified my company account that was declined initially.
I did domain transaction via escrow.com.
It was my very first domain selling.
Even though I have so many questions via, supporters helped me very quickly.
I especially really liked the 'chat' mode since it gave me really quick response.
Also, helpers explained quite clearly so everything I wanted to know was very clear.
Thank you Alex!
I previously submitted a review of my attempted dealings with Escrow.com. I thought possibly I had overlooked an Invoice Page. Now I'm glad they locked my account without be paid by the credit card.

We ordered an $8000 coffee roaster and had it shipped from an individual seller who was on the other side of the country. Escrow.com was a perfect solution to safely make the purchase, receive the item and release payment! The only drawback is all of the info needed to set up the account took longer than expected. They make it look easy with their initial "get started now" button, but we had a few hurdles to jump with all of the documents we needed to submit (took over an hour plus a trip to the bank for a wire transfer...) to actually get set up. Also, review the RATES BEFORE you commit. Our transaction fee was $169.00... not $26. Despite these hiccups, we could not have completed this purchase safely, otherwise. Guess it was worth it!
Just one word - Pathetic Service. I'm not even saying about the escrow they fee they charge but the overall service. I was in process of selling an asset using a broker. The broker insisted on using Escrow.com. The verification process is a joke. It took me 1 week to get the verification done. Apparently, they could not mention that I needed to provide my Passport for verification.
Now the asset transfer process again was troublesome, with escrow not know what documents they need to verify to mark the transaction as complete.
Now the payment part. My bank requested for the swift message copy. Which as per the escrow can be provided after 5 days of closing statement. Bunch of bullocks. After taking $800 in fee you cant provide 24x7 support, or relevant documents then purpose do you serve.
Highly dissatisfied with the service. Never ever using them again.
I got scammed because of this site. It's really easily for people to fake as being them. Their security is pathetic! I talk to their support team and they are doing nothing against it. After a while they also stopped responding to my emails. So please be smart and never use this site
Today was the first time I used escrow and it was simply amazing how easy it was. Sure i had questions but the customer service was incredible! Hardly any waiting or wasting time talking to bots. And it was super personal, they even called me back to let me know it was approved!
We had a not standard situation with third party involvement and unexpected changes throughout the deal, and although some of the issues could be avoided with some uncomplicated updates in the escrow.com system, we were very happy with support from Jay, who was very helpful, quick to respond and helped to smooth our the process overall. Very satisfied with support received
It was very tight - in the sense that only the required words were used - it made it real - in a real way.
The audio - thank God - was super clear - that is confidence in a sound - instructions were crisp - to the point - he had everything he needed at his fingertips. The only reason I called at all - was that an email from NetworkSolutions appeared out of order (to me) - it appeared before I got instruction from You - thus my surprise. This apparently was due to dude initiating transfer just before things were settled between his end and yours - and so it was briefly odd.
When I logged in again - the process had advanced - Floyd confirmed all was good - and I went to get cake. Thank you for organizing this service - it has been years - but the experience is one in a million.
I finally called customer service because I made some errors and was having difficulty creating an account with Escrow. The young lady was amazing and guided me step by step through the process. She actually called me back a couple of times to give me more help. Their customer service is absolutely the best!
Don't expect honesty, reliability or good service. You need to sue them to get your money. They will continuously give you false information and
Delay the refund or transfer of your money. They should be removed from the California approved escrow company list.
Answer: Hi David, we've processed just over $3 billion in transactions to date, with transactions from $100 all the way up to over $10,000,000. In addition to our regular licensing requirements, I hope you'll take a moment to look at the customer testimonials on www.escrow.com
Answer: Hi Janine! Thanks for reaching out! As the largest online licensed and audited escrow operator, Escrow.com is your best choice for domain transfer transactions. Escrow.com safely holds or secures the Buyer's payment in a trust account until the entire transaction is complete. That way, Buyers can be confident that the domain will be registered in their name and Sellers can be sure they'll be paid. We also have the concierge service for domain transfers without content where the Seller needs not to wait for the Buyer to confirm receipt and full control of the domain as Escrow.com will essentially take care of that inspection in your behalf. The Seller will only need to transfer the domain to one of our secured registrar accounts and we can release the funds to them. On the Buyer's side, they don't need the inspect period to verify the domain because we will do that for them. Our concierge team will work directly with the Seller to transfer the domain to us so there's no need for the Buyer to stress with follow-ups about the domain transfer. As soon as we secure the payment, the Buyer only needs to advise us where they want the domain to be transferred to and we will take care of the rest. Our dedicated concierge specialists will assist you every step of the way. Feel free to leave your contact details and best time to call as we are happy to discuss with you further should you have other questions. Thanks!
Answer: Hi Milly, I'm not sure I'm understanding your question exactly but Escrow.com only displays bank information on our site and never via email. Check to make sure any emails you are receiving came from@escrow.com.
Answer: Hi Doug, start by making an offer to the seller through the AutoTrader.ca's Secure Payment platform. Once the offer is accepted you can pay into the escrow account and then go to inspect the car. If everything is as expected you can release funds to the seller right there on the spot. Two quick tips: Always make sure emails about your transaction are coming from an@escrow.com email address, and make sure you log into Escrow.com to make sure you're sending funds to the correct account. Hope this helps!
