I can't even begin to describe all the things that have gone wrong, but put it this way: everything was supposed to be installed in August, it's now mid October and it still isn't finished,... and what was put in needs to be completely taken up and put in again because they rushed and failed to properly level the floor, and they deleted my comments on their facebook page, never returned phone calls, etc.
Just find a local Contractor that you trust and go with them.
If you expect to Empire complying with the contract obligations, do not believe. They interpret how they're working for them. Don't trust sales reps, they will promised a lot but installer do what is cheaper and less labor for them.

Picked out "on sale" carpet for bed room & small tv room. Bedroom perfect square & only had to cove hardwood with carpet. Tv room they pulled old carpet & replaced. Charged me an unbelievable 2,305.30. I cannot sop thinking about this & feeling his is wrong. I must find out!

They really did an awesome job on my carpet. However, the promotion is nothing but a scam (LIE)! They won't mention the promotion and when you bring it to their attention, they will give you the run around on granting the deal. Such as, run your credit again, inflate price on flooring and the lost goes on. Although I was given a 2500 limit with them, I will NOT be doing any further business with the! PLEASE don't become a victim, take your money to a company who stands by their word!

Empire quoted a price, but we were told it would be adjusted by the time of installation. They came to install carpet and a floor. They sent 2 crews and that predicated the issue. They left without installing the floor and offered no solution as to when they would be back or how to get the floor installed. Customer service directs you to the local installer and they don't call back. Now we are getting billed full price, no discount. I just want them to call me back, finish the job and give me my discount. The installation was on Feb 25th, 2022 and still no response. If you are ok with installers walking off an incomplete job, no support from customer service and fake accreditation from the BBB, Empire Today is your company.

This company is just horrible. I had the worst experience I've ever had with a vendor. They don't return your calls, they continually and their installers do a terrible job. Run don't walk away. Find ANYONE else to work with. You get what you pay for. Its why the y are so cheap

Empire Today isn't the company that you don't want to do business. They sell you a product and delivered a different product. From what I can tell they tend to take advantage of the elderly by installing lower quality carpet than what was ordered. The adds are very deceiving so you end up spending more than at home improvement store. My advice is Don't use them!
Our carpet was installed & ripped out twice... that's right, it took 3 tries to get it acceptable. Not great, but good enough. Plus we had two days in between where we were supposed to be on the schedule, but nobody showed up or called. The first installers (5 of them) raced in like tornadoes as soon as we opened the door. It was frightening the way they moved so quickly with our furniture and tore out the Old carpet like their butts were on fire! The job took 5 hours at top speed. They had been told it was a 3 hour job, and were scheduled to do another after ours! Nobody can do their best work at that speed. The seam in the middle of the living room was horrible and began to split days later. There's more, but you get the gist.

This company misleads you with their warranties! I had laminate installed and they replaced my wood crown molding with molding that had white paper to appear like it was white paint that came up within weeks. I called to have this repaired and they did send the contractor back out however it was replaced with the same material causing the same issue. I also had an in depth conversation with the contractor regarding what I needed in flooring. I really wanted something that withstood water for long periods of time, in case a pipe bursts when we were away etc. He assured me that the flooring I was receiving could withstand water for at least 24 hours without buckling or being damaged. Well... my dishwasher leaked and I called and Empire told me it was not covered! What a load of crap. The floor is even separating in places where there is no moisture like in the living room. Their products are CHEAP and the contractors cut corners. Do yourself a favor and SHOP ELSEWHERE!

I have been waiting two years for a refund. They sent one guy to install three rooms, so I was forced to help move furniture and bulk carpet. I am 76 and disabled Vet. Requested $250 for my labor etc. The company does care about the customer.

I was in the market for a hardwood floor to replace some worn carpeting.The salesman arrived on schedule and provided a very competitive proposal on the spot. The installers also arrived on schedule and did an amazing job. They worked non-stop for about 5 hours to complete the job. At one point they discovered a problem with the sub-floor which they repaired as a matter of course and with no additional cost. Their workmanship was excellent. Just great from start to finish.
I had a laminate floor installed. The floor looked beautiful but after the installation crew left I saw something that needed to be repaired. I have made 4 phone calls and to date I have not had a person help me resolve this issue. I am very frustrated with customer service. They give out wrong information, they promise resukts and can't deliver.

If you are serious about flooring, LOOK ELSEWHERE! This place scheduled flooring to be installed and when they showed up said they could not do the job because a desk was in the room. They then tried to reschedule, but I had taken vacation for the install. I demanded my money back and so far nothing.
I ended up installing floor myself in half the room and easily moving the desk (myself) onto the new flooring to continue.
Go to the pros and get the job done right. A huge waste of my time.
I would also give them ZERO stars but was not allowed. Go to Buddies or Lowes.

I am fed up with this company. I have paid a lot of money to this company. And they have not finished the job. They said they had to wait on the material. I have been waiting for 3 weeks And no one will get in touch with me. I know we are going through a crisis. But the least you can do is call to let some one know what's going on. Are when you will be back to finished the job. It look like a soar eye in my house. Please someone come and finish what you started.And have called numerous time. Some are very rude. Don't do business with Empire Today! Cannot get anyone to return calls or do anything to rectify the installation of the wrong color carpeting! We also bought flooring for our kitchen. The installers did not show up the day of install because of car trouble. We expected someone to come the next day but were told we would have to wait another week--ridiculous!

I wish I would have found this site before I purchased my flooring from Empire. I have been trying to get assistance on the correct flooring trimming because I changed the flooring color but the sales person inadvertently forgot to change the trim to match the new flooring color.
No one calls me back. When I reach the rep he says he'll call me but never does. At one point they said they were out of stock and would call me back with a status. Two weeks have passed and no call back. Left messages for Installation manager, no call backs.
I spent $4300 for 488 Sq feet. What a rip off.
Zero customer service and support.
Please don't use this company. You will have regrets if you need service after the install.
Its a shame that companies like this are allowed to continue taking advantage of consumers.

Just some honest feedback from a first time customer. I make an appointment days out and schedule my time around a two hour window 11:00 - 1:00. At 1:00 I receive an automated phone call, which tells me this happens quite often that the sales representative is going to be a half hour late. An Hour later I receive a call that no one can make it out today.
You would think if your business model is online and representatives coming to your home, that this is the one step you can't afford to get wrong as a first impression. You can have the best price, quality and delivery and still loss the business with poor customer service...
