I wish I had came to sites like this first, but like many people I trust organisations to do right by their customers. EliteSingles though are prejudiced towards business profits and willing exploit a human need for connection to get those profits. The algorithm used by EliteSingles is less than optimal, actually its downright terrible
You will find most of the so called ideal matches will leave you wondering - ideal matches that are drip-fed to you at a rate of 4 to 5 profiles per week. You are expected to make a connection with these ideal matches - profiles that more often than not, do not have a photo and are incomplete profiles. When I raised this as an issue, I was informed that not all those sent as ideal matches have paid membership and, although EliteSingles encourages everyone to upload a photo and complete their profile, not all possible ideal matches have completed their profiles.
EliteSingles will also remind you that they send you 20 wildcard matches per occasion. Although all these matches have photos, the majority again are not paying members. The matches who live anywhere from 2,000kms to 6,000kms away are not even close to your criteria. EliteSingles encourages you to message all marches - literally you pay your membership for EliteSingles to use you as bait to get others to join!
I paid for a six-month subscription and have made sure I cancelled the automatic renewal. Reality is the dollars are of little consequence but the outcomes have been most unsatisfying, and the way EliteSingles have treated me as a customer deeply disturbing.
I tried twice with this site. Very few marches. Not good. Go to Zoosk. I went to them and they had about 6-8 matches for me and that was it. I cancelled and they keep your money.
Why do they even ask for your preferences? Because they don't appear to consider them when "matchmaking." The majority of the matches they send to me (and yeah, you can't even search on your own) are outside of my age-bracket and distance preferences. Then, they've got these two fairly useless features, "wildcards" and "what ifs," which are the same thing if you ask me because they're NOT MATCHES. My age preference topped out at 59 and one of the dudes they offered me was 90 years old. They're also sending me "options" from hundreds of miles away. I mean, SERIOUSLY. No offense (and more power to the 90-year gent), but I clearly stated my preference and that was not it. I completely regret joining and have sent no matches in the city where I live. Extremely disappointed, I cancelled my subscription after a week but they wouldn't refund my membership fees as they only give 3 days grace period. So I'm stupidly locked into 6 more months of this. My mistake. Wish I had seen these reviews before making such a bad decision.
Three things you need to know:
1. They force you into buying at least three months, positioning themselves as ELITE ( for me it was almost $200, as they make you indicate your salary and then bump up the price based on your income)
2. There is only a handful of people, and they all look like they just fell out of the trash can; also people fake their age; so I mostly see dusty grandpas who can't even take a proper selfie.
THERE IS NOTHING ELITE ABOUT THIS SITE!
3. The interface is poorly designed, it's hard to even scroll through the pictures.
They push on you a long expensive subscription knowing that after two days you will find out that it's a complete waste of money and time. I don't even look at my matches they send me; STAY AWAY!
I had a LOT of matches, many good looking men, I wrote very many details of what I want, hiking, biking, outdoors, enjoy life, music,... many men barely put anything, yet they matched high with me, that made zero sense. They just wrote how they are a nice and honest man looking for love of their life... the not good looking men sent me "smiles", I sent smiles (to connect) to the handsome ones I thought had the most in common with me. I think I'm pretty and smart and have a good profile. None of the men responded. Then within the same day, 2 sent me a message. They wanted my contact information quickly which I found odd and invasive. Then they would never talk about them. One called me Sweetie very soon, both ironically were divorced because their wives cheated on them. I mentioned scam and one guy disappeared... the other I mentioned scam and he just said "do you not want to continue with what we have going?" We had nothing going, he was boring, only exercised and worked. I couldn't get him to say anything he liked. No real chatting. But, to hear nothing from the handsome guys... that didn't make sense. I paid upfront $106 and got refunded $42 and canceled. I think they want to hook you into staying longer. But I think that is mean and bad business. They still made money off of me.
Beware! This site may have been good at one time, but it is a scam now. This site claims to match people to similar income and educational backgrounds and they claim to verify profiles. However, they put me on another site that I had never heard of. I corresponded with six "men" that I believed were on elite. I spoke to two of them who had never heard of elite singles. Neither had an income or educational background that were similar to mine. While that didn't bother me so much, it really bothered me that the cost for these two men to join their site for a year was the same as my one month membership on Elite. The other four "men" were scammers. Fortunately, I know what to look for in a scammer and cut off my communication quickly. Elite singles clearly does not vet anybody and their practices are not transparent. I canceled my account after only two weeks and asked for my money back. To their credit, they told me they would refund my money. However, they switched me to a basic membership, and I asked to delete my profile entirely. To do so, I had to give them a lot of personal information. It took a lot to get deleted, but it took almost nothing to sign up.
Elite Singles is a total rip-off, charging a hefty amount to have supposedly more professional (elite) members selection, which is not true. Selection is comparable to many other sites, and a much older set of people.
Elite also doesn't allow enough options in terms of member profile visibility, activeness, etc. This restricted my flexibility in managing my dating options. In finding and exclusively dating a person very early on into the 6 months membership I signed up for (for budgeting reasons), but still in the beginning stages of dating the person, it would have made most sense to be able to disable/deactivate my account temporarily. In case things do not work out, I could always reactivate/enable my account as 6 months is long time.
Customer service was very rigid and not helpful when I described this situation, nor in providing any type of refund. In order, for me show that I wasn't actively still searching on this app so that the said person I'm dating could have faith in me, I had to fully close and terminate my account with no options of returning.
Terribly restrictive, conservative, old-fashioned, rigid dating app that I will never return to!
1) Pricey so if you feel you must, hold out as they keep sending you lower price options to join. Once you do you feel ripped off.
2)The tools you normally see on dating sights - not here. Cannot block scammers or delete profile you are not interested in from the lists you are left with to navigate people you want to talk to.
3a) Matching what a joke - they throw every profile at you. What is funny is they score the match, I get matches that are let's say is an 80 (sounds good right) then you get ones that are 150 (what scale are they using? Metric?
3b) Distance for matching starts at 50 miles and you cannot make that lower. This is horrible, you cant sort by closest so it is all random - talk about a waste of time for searching.
4) apparently the web app must be different, got so many messages saying they could not see photo or age.
5) Their free version is designed to get you to think they have lots of matches - don't fall for it. They have a great marketing team that makes it seem like a great product - nope.
To call this website Elite is a lie. The men here are the opposite of elite. Many don't even have an associate's degree. They are the most unattractive bunch of people I've seen on any website.
They will put you on an automatic Renawal for over £200 even if you don't use the app. They refused to refund me and provide horrible customer service. STAY AWAY
How did they get the name Elite? There is nothing elite about this site. Please do not waste your time or money. This is the worst site I have EVER been on.
Don't do it. No one responds to you. You click on a profile the criminal staff responds to you. Someone please throw these A**holes in jail please. Profiles are fake and inactive.
Profiles are one or combination of the following: fake, old, unattended, non subscribers.

They charged me three full days before the 90 day auto renew period was up. When I notified them of my desire to cancel at day 87, THEY DID NOT LET ME CANCEL BUT CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD ANYWAY. I did a chargeback with my credit card company and now Elite Singles has taken me to a COLLECTIONS AGENCY. They are attempting to ruin my credit when they are violating their own terms and conditions.
THIS SITE HAS BEEN HACKED. DO NOT USE.
SOMEONE STOLE MY PROFILE AND ELITESINGLES IS BLAMING MY HOME COMPUTER AND YAHOO EMAIL ACCOUNT. WELL, MY YAHOO EMAIL ACCOUNT HAS TWO STEP VERIFICATION AND USES A PASSWORD I USE ON NO OTHER ACCOUNT. SO, NO, THE PROBLEM IS ON THEIR END.
Worst dating site ever. There was a very slim choice of people to chose from- all unattractive & was unable to get a refund after a few days- waste of $250.00 3rd party customer service! SCAM!
Don't waste your time! I have had 3 fake profiles trying to get my email address and my email address was hacked. They send profiles of people outside of my 100 km radius and I just delete them!
This is the worst dating website. In 6 days I had 5 matches. When I asked to be refunded they said no I had to cancel with in 3 days. 3 days is not long enough to give it a fair shot.
4 out of 5 Matchesx were scams. This is a huge scam. Guys even used the same terms. Don't waste your time or money. This site is a scam!
Answer: I've used E-harmony and many other American sites, I was disappointed and frustrated over a huge amount of scammers and a miserable amount of real profiles. European sites like https://j4l.com/402007 Are so much better! They ferret out scammers and there are no fake profiles. Ladies are much more high-end, calssy and sociable. It's a paradise compared to E-harmony!
Answer: I wish I could help you. I've been using the contact feature on their website and I have had a few responses (template style emails) but am not getting what I want---a refund. Elite singles HQ is in Germany. I feel like I am peeing into the wind with them but we have to keep trying! Infuriating, isn't it?
