I love the fact on Elfster you can make a wish list of things from all over the internet and add notes as far as size, quantity, etc. It even has a place to add notes, or add a gift even if it's something you'd buy in person at a store. I would really think adding the feature of viewing a public wish list could be done with just a link and not starting an account would be useful. My father refuses to sign up even thought this allows me to add great details
I have used it in the past for exchanges and it's great, but I'd love to share it as just an in need of wish list that anyone can view if I give them the link. I could be an option just like the public/private option of who can see your wish list. (private, public to those with an account, public to anyone with a link)

I have used Elfster for a few different exchanges, both local and virtual exchanges. The platform made everything so easy, and the work that has been put into it over time continues to make it better and better. The support team is also easy to work with, and very helpful.

I set up my first Elfster secret Santa for my team and I messed it up pretty badly with several people listed twice, ect. Well Emma the sled elf saved the day with her kindness, patience and great service. All is now well and Christmas is saved!
I had a problem with the admin of the secret santa I was participating in and Holly was amazing from beginning to end (well almost end as she is following up with me) I have ZERO bad things to say about Elfster besides that one admin.
I had an issue with some of the exchanges that I set up for our families (forgot to include someone and also forgot to put restrictions after the names had been drawn)
I was in touch with Holly on the chat and she was so so helpful! She was really efficient and quickly rectified everything

Customer service is pretty one sided. I was constantly being harassed by a few exchanges I joined. These people even came out onto public social media, and into my personal email. It was reported to elfster time and time again, but their response was instead of taking care of the harassers, to deactivate my account. All my gifts were sent and received by my gifters with proof, and even the maker of the exchange saying so.
Definitely only do this with friends, and don't expect help if you choose to enter in with strangers. Learned the hard way and was scammed multiple times. Shame.
You have a great website elfster! I love it and changed me, but it removed my stuff! I had a bunch of stuff on my wishlist and it all disappeared? It may be an issue through the website, if so they need to fix it soon. Plus, they aren't against gender roles. The mens section was filled of stuff i didn't like. It may just be me but PLEASE fix your website..
One of my participants put in a wrong email address and I couldn't find them. Needless to say I was frustrated and couldn't figure out why I couldn't see them. The customer service person for Elfster looked up the information, didn't get frustrated with me with all my questions and merged the two accounts together. I'm back in business and ready to draw names for the gift exchange. Will right another review when we complete our gift exchange.

Went thru a fb group to do an exchange. There needs to be better protection for gifts given then gifts don't get received. GOT ME FOR $60, lesson learned
The Elfster app is amazing and my family LOVED using it! It's super easy, you can check in anonymously with participants, and I even got alerts when wish list items went on sale! Everyone was VERY happy with their gifts. Highly recommended 5
I highly recommend for your gift exchanges. They make everything so easy and organized. They also have good gift recommendations. Makes gift exchanges fun and easy to do. The chat support feature is also great. They answer fast and take care of any issues right away
Our group of friends have been using Elfster for over 5 years now doing a Secret Santa. Its a great place to post your gift lists and make sure we don't get duplicates. Great online chat for any help you need.
I actually came across this site thanks to a friend. Make secret santa exchanges MUCH easier, so that husband can't get paired with wife, ect. Plus, my family lives all over, so an electronic secret santa that remained secret was a HUGE plus! Not to mention the Wishlist feature that is connected to Amazon. When I had a question, Pinky the Elf not only answered it with great patience, but also made me feel better when I had that DUH moment. LOVE IT! Will use this every year.

I organized a gift exchange for 150 people. There were a few kinks with the website. Some people didn't receive notifications of secret messages and quite a few times I got "bad gateway" loads. However, with this issues all the customer service elves have been extremely helpful. I wish it was a bit more user friendly, though. Many of my people had issues figuring out how to use the wish list and find their recipient. I also wish it had a questionnaire feature. This was a major issue for my exchange. We had 24 questions I needed post within Elfster and it was very hard to enter them into the system.
