The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

This site is terrible! You barely get any matches, and the ones that you do get are all losers that nobody would ever talk to which is why they are single to begin with. Most of the communication is from a fake profile the website developed for you to spend more money to renew the membership.
They make you jump through hoops to get rid of the automatic renewal. Waste of time and money!
My matches were 500 miles away! Poor photos and obviously no corporate control over "main" picture. No new matches for four months! Don't waste your money here!
E-Harmony doesn't let a potential member browse pictures to see what they have available on their site. Their "Communicate Free Weekend" is also bogus because yes--you can write a message and someone can write you--but you have no idea who you are communicating with---AGAIN... no pictures! Why would I join a site without seeing what they have to offer?
I turned off auto renew and it renewed anyway. I saw the charge on my account the morning after it posted. I called them and they filed a request for refund which was denied because I was outside the 3 day window. I don't see how I was outside the window when I called the morning after the payment processed. The were extremely rude and informed me the case was closed and they would not discuss it further. On top of that, the website was useless to me for the whole six months which is why I didn't want to renew to begin with!
STAY AWAY!
The difference with a site like this is the class. It's not just another rubbish looking site, everything is fresh and clean looking. I'd say only wejustfit.com or match give you that same quality feel, for want of a better word. It really does stand out and with high member numbers to boot, it's a good place to meet people looking for relationships.
My sole purpose of joining was to find a husband that wants children. Their matching system groups "might want children" into limited choices. This supposed scientific platform ignored my very most primary key of join. It's designed to string you along, they match profiles based on a questionnaire which most people lie about and don't give you access to all of the possibilities.
EHarmony works completely different than other dating sites because it uses science and compability testing. Sounds complicated, huh? Yeah, this site is really not as laid-back as Mingle2day or Tinder and if you just wanna chat with someone for fun it may not be the best solution for ya. But it is one of the most famous online dating sites. I have used it in 2014 with huge success cuz I've met my girlfriend on eHarmony. We broke up a few weeks ago and for now I am more like I wanna date a little, but nothin too serious, so I use Mingle2day and Tinder once in a while. But I may come back because: yep, it works.
Ever since I started working, it has gotten really difficult to meet people I like. I was on a date with a few of my friends' friends or someone I met at bars/clubs but nothing really worked for me. I have a coworker who got married with a girl that he met on eHarmony.com and told me it was a good way to filter out the people based on your interest. You get the match based on the information you feel out and you can search a specific person you want. I think it is really cool.
Just like any other dating sites, it has been hit or miss. I did meet some interesting men who were not really who they were as the way they described themselves on the site. However, I did also meet some wonderful people and I finally found 1 person that makes me laugh and happy. I know it is hard to find someone and it can open the opportunity.
This site is terrible. I foolishly didnt read the reviews beforehand. They match you with people 50+ miles away when I stated less than 30 on my profile. Nothing about the site is user friendly. I'm mad at myself for signing up.
I paid for a membership last Thursday and immediately regret it. I emailed them and they replied. Letting me know how I could work my way in the system and find a match. They asked me to wait at least 24 hours for results and so I did. 24 hours later, NOTHING. The system didn't work and I was unsatisfied. They said if I wanted to cancel, they will help with the refund. I cancelled in the hopes that I would not get billed. They did reply me? NOPE. I emailed over and over and over again. THEY DIDN'T REPLY AT ALL. They give you this illusion of trust in the beginning and then POOF they disappear. Now I'm trying hard to get my money back and I hope it'll work. I cannot imagine others who have paid so much more to lose their money in their search for love. This is such a shame. Neil Warren should be ashamed to call himself a Christian. He is not a true Christian as he is tricking people. NEVER EVER TRY EHARMONY. Save your money, save yourselves!
After painstakingly answering all the initial questions and, i now realise, foolishly paying for a 6 month subscription, my 'matches' arrived. Not one single one nearer than a two hour drive away, 90% of them looking like they qualify for care in the community, and the remainder fake profiles or scammers. There is no way of telling when these people were last online and i strongly suspect that many of them havent been online in a number of years! Im not an unattractive woman, just i work long hours in a female dominated environment so thought that joining a so called reputable dating site would be the way to meet men i would be attracted to! How i wish id read the reviews beforehand. I wouldnt recommend this site to anyone!
My mother wanted to try out the site for free, and when she tried to create her account. The site ask you so many questions, and she was just being honest! By the time she wanted to submit her profile, she couldn't 'cause it said her standards was too high, lol. Hmmmz, so people should settle for less right? I guess to be successful to even get past the questions, you'll have to down your standards. I'm pretty sure most are lying about themselves anyway, if you gotta pay for no results! You might as well try a free dating site, at least you can settle for your worth, and not for less of that! But I'm glad her profile didn't go through, because the site is full of crap anyway. It's other ways to mingle and this isn't one of them!
They advertise this at $11 per month then charge you $47.80 over and over until you finally close your credit card just to get away from them. I never even used this service not one time.
Very horribly made the mistake of giving Eharmony another shot. Had some luck with 'bumble', but friends encouraged me to try a site with payment to hopefully have some additional luck. Most of my matches look like they would put me in a well in their basement and skin me. Not to mention they match me with people in different friggin states. Seriously?! And to boot - the website and app are terribly unfriendly for users. Do not make the expensive mistake I have just made. They of course are being $#*!ty and won't let me cancel my membership early... I honestly might still just delete it and pay so as to not become more irritated with it.
Spent a long time completing all of their forms/tests. Was told at the end "Not everyone has a match." Perhaps true, but also cruel.
Now that I have paid all of my £120 subscription, my matches have dried up WTF! You are a complete scam and an embarrassment to your advertisement on TV. What a complete waste of money!
Maybe I live in the wrong area of the country but the matches I am given live hours away and I am finding a lot of attitude and judgement. Ask a question and I answer only to be told "oh, that must mean not interested"... what? I answered the question and suggested another of my own. Very boring and tedious and not many matches at all. BTW, I am a professional and financially secure and reasonably attractive... so what's up with this? Maybe Match is the more popular site.
E-Harmony touts that they are the premium dating site. I signed up for a year and paid over $150. They take the funds out of your pay pal account the first 3 months in a row. I tried it for 2 months. A lot of fake profiles. So I tried to cancel before the third payment. They said that they could not refund the $94 that I had paid. I refused to pay another payment of $47.80 for poor quality of service; they did not use my search preferences in matching me. So I have to date paid for 242 days of service. They denied me access on Mother's Day. So I received 85 days of service. I paid for 2/3rds of a year and got 85 days. Go figure. On top of that Pay Pal did not go to bat for me. So much for Pay Pal.
I live in the Bay Area and the selection is so poor it's laughable. Moreover, the site's functionality is clunky. Like Match, there's no way to determine how many paying members there are and all the sites artificially inflate their "membership" by not deleting profiles and not distinguishing who are paying member. Waste of money and time.
Not ONE contact in two months! Are you serious? Educated, attractive for my age and a pretty decent profile!
I decided to "test" this website and said "hello" to ALL of my matches regardless if I was interested or not. Guess what? Not ONE response.
It's a very expensive scam, so STAY AWAY!
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
