The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

Just to sign up for this site requires you to commit to paying for an entire year! How can they say they help you find a partner, but you need to keep the service for a whole year? There is no possibility for payments to stop even if you hate the service, even if you get married. It is also impossible to opt out of their matches, they will keep emailing you every day, your profile will remain public for an entire year!
It is completely unreasonable. The service they offer about matching people is also BS. It doesn't match partners any better than Tinder, which is based only on location and age settings. HORRIBLE COMPANY, DO NOT PAY FOR IT.
Each match I corespond with ends up being removed for security reasons.
Refused a refund. Complete waste of money..
I joined 1 month ago. I wasn't on the site for 3 days and met the woman of my dreams. We really hit it off.We just clicked right away. I have to say I met the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. We've already been out on ten dates. We seem to get closer and closer the more time we spend together. I am so Thankful for E HARMONY because I met my PERSON.
Don't waste time or money signing up to this site. Have received hundreds of matches, yes hundreds, and only 4 responses of smiles. Pretty pricey to have your ego bruised.
This site is a scam. It is a site that steals money from people and offers nothing. First of all the site uses fake people. I made complains about it and in return they told me I have to pay my subscription anyway according to my contract. Can anybody do something to take this people to court? Don t subscribe to this site! This is a way if making money using people s trust.
I've been using eHarmony all spring / summer and ive had some luck but theres just not enough to keep you going out regularly. I signed up to wejustfit.com last month and already im finding my social calendar filling up with using two proven sites. Would recommend doubling up for sure.
I can't say anything positive about my experience with eHarmony. I spent hours on the phone and writing emails because I was so unhappy with the service and literally have not used the account at all since the first few days of opening it. Their customer service is such a disgrace. RUN, RUN FAR AWAY. There are so many other dating sites that are FREE or have a reasonable cancellation policy that have better matches and higher quality technology. What a waste of money.
I joined eHarmony about a month ago and after receding very few matches called customer service to complain. I was told to change or loosen my parameters and went from 50 miles to 120 miles (there is no in between). I still received very few matches all of which were at least an hour if not much farther away from me. (I live in a major metropolitan area btw). None of my matches where my physical type except one who was okay but never responded. I called to cancel my account and be refunded the unused portion of my money and was told there were no refunds and I could cancel my account but I would still owe the additional $50+. If I wanted to be matched with guys I have no interest in I would stay on the free sites! This site is a rip-off and don't waste your money.
Relatively speaking, I do a lot better in real life and on other sites/apps like match, ok cupid, tinder. I used essentially all the same pics/info as I used on the other sites and I went on a pathetic three dates with two different girls in six months. The response rate in particular was much lower than on other sites leading me to the conclusion that many profiles are fake/defunct. I was hoping the cost and time required to have a profile would lead to higher quality matches, but the opposite happened. I live in a city of 300k+ and the quantity/quality of the matches were very limited compared to other sites.
I've been joking with my circle of friends recently that the only way I can get dates is using a bunch of quality dating sites together (having different accounts and getting emails from each when I get a message). EHarmony is one for the list of memberships in my opinion, works well in Stockport. I also really like WeJustFit.com, in case youre interested in other trust worthy options to add to your own list! Good luck
I have had the most inharmonious time on eHarmony!
I have even started to feel slightly badly!
Could it be that I don't get many responses because:
- I have used realistic untouched photos so that my potential dates don't get a fright
When they see me in real life, but are actually pleasantly surprised!
- I have been honest about my personality, (without giving away too much information) and have not lied about who I am, my credentials or my achievements as I want those who are truly interested to contact me.
- I have said too much about my relationship with the Lord being important to me as I want true believers to contact me (although I believe that it is a Christian site)
- That there aren't that many active users on the site
- Old profiles are recycled and you receive matches that haven't been on the site in five years, and are probably actually happily married.
- There is a higher female to male ratio in the early thirties age group and thus men have their pick.
- I am too far off the beaten track
I am not sure, I will have to see,
So therefore I can only conclude that while it may work for others, eHarmony doesn't work for me.
I've read so many bad stories about dating scams that it took me forever to convince myself to join a dating site. But what can I say, I guess I am more lucky than most other guys. Joined eHarmony and Chemistry but also Mingle2day and Tinder. Personally, Mingle2day and eharmony worked best for me. Met a few women off both sites. Totally recommendable.
EHarmony takes the silver medal from me. Brilliant dating site, just behind WeJustFit.com (my gold winner) and that's impressive believe me, take it from a guy who has tried at least ten sites this year alone!
I have been and on and off again member of eHarmony. The times I have been an on member, it seems the men are 'scammers'. They have a nice photo, seem to have a normal life, but the way they communicate via messaging/email on the site, seems like broken English, it's as if they do not have basic grammar knowledge or skills. Also it seems every time I turn around, I am being notified from eHarmony they have 'removed a user' from their site. Don't trust this site anymore. Television ads should be removed claiming fame.
I joined Eharmony and paid for a years subscription. After a month of using the site I received an email to say the account had been closed. No reason was given. When I complained and asked for a refund I was told they wouldn't refund the rest of the year that I hadn't used and already paid for as in the it's and c's they can cancel at any time and no refund would be due.
So basically if you want to spend over £100 for a month of trawling through some pretty undesirable matching (the bull sperm seller being the highlight... and no I am not joking!) then Eharmony is the one for you. If, however you want decent matches or service (or even just a service that you have paid for) then stay away from this site at all costs.
Oh and on a side note... love how all reviews here were atrocious and then Eharmony customer care popped up giving itself 5 stars to try and bump up it's scoring!
Wont bore you with the deets but im a single parent, my friends are all married + most have kids + the more time goes on the less opportunities I have to get out there + meet people. I work pretty hard too + as im a hair dresser it's not like im meeting cute guys day in day out. I went for eHarmony just because I have no imagination but will try wejustfit.com soon too as a few girls in the salon totally swear by it so need to see what the fuss is all about. But yeah, online dating is convenient, not traditional but it just fits better for the contemporary woman IMHO x
I have been a member on and off for several years. Met my ex-wife and many now friends. My account was hacked in the middle of a subscription. They got into my account; reset my password and began emailing spam to my contacts; I did everything right. It was a sunday so eharmony was closed. I emailed them; I took screenshots. I was able to recover my password and change it but it was too late and the damage was done. All those contacts emailed of course blocked me. I don't blame them. The next day (Monday) I am on the phone with their customer service to see what is going on. Next thing I know they have closed and purged my account. No re-opening; Nothing. So years worth of profile tweaking; dating profiles culled through is now over. To add insult to injury they do offer 3 months free after I start all over again... So now I am a victim twice. The hackers got me then eharmony doesn't stand by me. I did everything right... $#*! YOU Eharmony!
I have received one match in three months. I could have done better in seven eleven. Absolutely no quality in the one match that was chosen for me,
I joined a few days ago after debating weather or not to pay the 59.95 for just one month... worst investment ever. I was really excited about the sites reputation and thought it was going to be pretty great but not so. There are a total of 35 matches on the whole web site for my areas of choice and let me tell you nothing even close to what I was looking for at all and I'm not trying to be a snob about it because in all honestly that's not what I'm about but we have to have some kind of standards right? I would say that this site really needs to work on having more of a selection and not charging that ridiculous amount of money for something that is almost none existing... Save your money go somewhere else, not worth it.
Eharmony used to be a reputable site, but not anymore. They send you profiles from people that were once paid members. The "what if" match profiles and pictures are clearly a forgery. You can tell by their differences in the way they look. For example, my daily "what if" matches all had gorgeous looking women and their photos taken with a high resolution camera. But my daily matches were totally the opposite. Most photos looked crappy and the women not good-looking at all. I must have sent well over 250 smiley faces, and emails to my recommended matches and receive not even ONE response. I am a fairly handsome 28 years old busy professional. However, when my membership was close to expiring I got a match response from a woman who claimed to be an attorney, was not a paid member, and only took advantage of the free trial weekends! She didn't even know what I look like. Are you serious? For the love of God, don't spend a penny on this site. It's a scam!
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
