Quick to take my money when I tried to hire a car in Melbourne, Australia. But when it came to clarifying how much they were going to charge me in AUD. They were not exact on the amount and charged me extra with international transfer fees without telling me.
When trying to chase a refund or help here. They did not offer a solution or explanation until I decided to cancel and they just took the deposit and told me I cannot get it back because that was the cancellation fee.
I accidentally selected the wrong month when booking a car. They refused to even provide me a credit for the rental and I lost all the money. They basically told me to pound sand. No refunds means no refunds. Whatever, dude. I won't be booking through this site again. Not worth it. There are better companies that understand mistakes are mistakes and will work with you for the sake of good will. Never again.

We ended up calling to book our confirmation email clearly says June the person helping us put March we got an email on how come we didn't pick up the car. They won't refund our money or transfer the rental to June said we are just out the money. Clearly their fault bunch of thieving fu**s if my bank can't fix the problem the will for sure hear from a layer real soon. Avoid this company they won't stand by the customer in a situation like this.

Further to my earlier review I wish to update readers that the issue was dealt with promptly and fairly regarding a refund request by Economy booking and I feel that it is correct that this is acknowledged

Great service quick and efficient. Car almost new and very clean inside and out. I would use this company again.
I made my reservation on march 14th. 9:55 pm. Then after I started googling the company and saw many people complaining then on the next day 6 am I canceled and few minutes I received the email saying everything was canceled and I was going to get the refund maximum in 14 days. Then today march 17th I arrived home and saw a notification on my amex that I was charged $148.01. I called the company and said how come if I cancel everything less than 24 hours I was going to still being charged. Then the person said " oh you canceled less than 48 hours?" Wait a minute then. After few minutes he said. Oh yes. I can't do anything for you that is the police and hang up on my face

For a rental vehicle. The site was easy to use and they find me a good rental vehicle. I was actually upgraded from an economy car to a luxury vehicle at no extra cost. Had to wait a little extra time to get it because there was only one person working there at the time. Drop off was quick and easy. I was a little confused when I brought the car back not knowing how to get back into the parking ramp. But iPhone my way. The price was right I can't go wrong.
Super easy gave me an upgrade since our party had increased by one. Car was in excellent condition was clean and had no issue.
The detail you are lead to focus on and see on there web pages do not represent what you will pay. Look closely at the light grey detail below, hardly noticeable, that is the price you will be paying, once you click ahead you will not see it again until they have your money with a contract and no way to retract.

I made car rental booking with economy bookings, received a confirmation from them that my booking was made. When I arrived at my destination and wanting to pick up the car, to my shock I find out that the booking is cancelled!, this because the car rental company did not have any cars available for weeks prior, and yet economy bookings had taken my money from my credit card.
So imagine I am stuck in the airport and had to make alternative arrangements with another car rental company and yet money had been taken from me by economybookings.com, I find this practice unscrupulous and downright unethical.
Now I have been waiting for a refund on this process and there has been little feedback to regard to refunding me.
Please do yourself a favour and dont use economybookings.com AND rather do your bookings directly with the car rental companies.

I was a bit disappointed that it took a day to confirm my car even though it says it would be very quick. Car and price were good.
I started using EconomyBookings about 2 years ago before that I go thru Priceline.com or directly from the car rental company. EconomyBookings overall is very good the downfalls are there's no refund for cancellation, no changes to reservation locations, difficult to get thru customers services center and no free upgrade for loyal customers.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
