I've had a Dropbox account for many years with zero problems. Then on 01/30/24 I get a notification that my account was disabled. I sent customer service an email asking why this happened. I get a robo response saying that I "violated use policies" all i had were Conservative memes and videos supporting our President Trump. Now all of my precious photos and business files are permanently gone, no option to file a petition to get my account back. Nothing. Conservatives beware of this "woke" Leftist company. Put your important files and photos on another platform. You have been warned.

Amazing service, Dropbox Paper is so simple and intuitive! Also sharing between devices is so smooth.
I am very satisfied with their service and very easy system to understand. They have very easy download and upload option but the space is very limited for free user. Anyways, it is very good product and recommended!
I really adore Dropbox team. Their products are great, innovative and intuitive. paper.dropbox.com is another prove of it. Since its appering we switched from google docs to it
Had some problems with it initially, but their customer support team got in contact with me very quickly and resolved the issue.
Free network shared folders with ability to co-own or just read items in the folders with other users. Co-owners (who can add to, edit, delete) of folders have to install dropbox, linked users (read only) do not have to install dropbox.
Got a recommendation from a high school principal to use this when we were writing a school based handbook that was too large to pass through the school's email filter. Amazingly easy to use!
I LOVE the ability to co-own (share) a folder so everyone can edit documents or to give people read-only access (link) to documents and pictures. This is perfect for the various groups I belong to where we need to co-author or co-edit meeting minutes, fliers and spreadsheets. Also allows people to read-only folder contents so everyone has access to pictures, rules & regs, by laws.
Dropbox has lessened the need for group email with attachments -- we don't have to send out, receive and edit, re-send, edit again, resend, etc. Easy to use once you speak the share-link terminology. Lots of free space and your space is increased as you share-link to other users.
One drawback -- I'd like the ability to share with others so they can read and edit but not allow them to delete anything! Still, 100% recommend dropbox!
Like many of the users on this blog, we took the 30-day free trial and ended up not using it after a few times. However, we were surprised to find that our credit card was charged $750 and immediately contacted Dropbox to ask for a refund.
Related: Dropbox Charged me 0 for something I don't want, need or have!
However, the company representative refused any partial or full refund and disconnected me from the chat room when I expressed my dissatisfaction and desire to file a complaint with consumers report. I find such after service terrible and the general behavior of automatic charging without any refund (even partial) to be fraudulent and unacceptable and encourage all to speak up against this company.
I`m using the service for sharing the files through all my devices - its easy and convenient. As for myself - I wouldnt recommend to store something really important here, but as a personal cloud storage this one works great!
I signed up for a free trial and after thirty days, if I decided to keep the service, it would be a fee of a little over $12.00 per month. My debit card was charged $750.00 yesterday and am livid! Even if they wanted to charge me for a whole year, it would have only been around $150.00! I tried to cancel before my trial ended, but evidently, they don't allow you to do that. I tried every way I could think of, to contact them, to no avail. Scam artists make themselves unavailable for a reason. Contact your banks, when this happens to you... they will turn it over to VISA or any other credit or debit card company and they will start an investigation. These people are nothing but thieves and must be stopped.
I've been using DropBox for almost 7 montsh now and I absolutely love the product. Easy to use, no issues whatsoever. BTW, their customer support team got in contact with me very quickly and resolved as soon as I had an issue.
Great cloud service for using to pass files among your presonal devices or store some photos/music for the same purpose. Nothing to complain on for me.
I use the free version of dropbox, it works really well. I hear the paid versions are a complete scam though.
A great resource for individuals and business. Easy to navigate site and free cloud storage.
I love the "feel" of the site, the way they have designed it. It is very intuitive, approachable, and comfortable. I use DropBox every single day. I keep some of my important files there, in addition to my back-up hard drive. I learned the hard way that your backup hard drive can fail, and then what? Storage on the cloud is much safer. It's also great, because I have several computers, between work, home, and my iPhone. Dropbox lets me have all my files easily accessible from any computer. I recommend DropBox.
I have been using Dropbox since there was a Dropbox. Great product. Works simply, easily and I often even forget I have it -- it is like it part of my operating system. Use it on Mac and PC... works like a dream! I flirted with SugarSync which was the most unstable of the alternatives to Dropbox; OneDrive was the slowest; Google Drive the least stable; Box Sync the 2nd most proprietary product (there are some file types it just won't sync, and it is the only Sync service that has that caveat), and iCloud, the most proprietary and oddly interfaced of the alternatives listed.
I have had Dropbox, and I will continue to use it, praise it, and recommend it to everyone and anyone!
Tip for consumers:
As Coke is over Pepsi, and as the Big Mac reigns over the Whopper, so, too, Dropbox knocks the heck out its competitors. If you want stable, dependable and simple, Dropbox rocks (hey, I'm a poet and I didn't know it).
I love Dropbox. The desktop app is easy to use; set it up correctly, let it sync, and you're good to go. When you need to retrieve your documents, photos, files, go to www.dropbox.com. Simple.
I do work at home, sync to Dropbox, go to work, go to Dropbox, download my file. Then work on it from there. Upload it back to Dropbox when I'm done.
I have used A Drive, Google, SkyDrive, you name it. I've tried them all. My favorite is Dropbox.
I've used the free version of Dropbox for about 5 years, since I returned to school, but recently needed more space for a single transfer and signed up for a free 30-day trial of Dropbox Business. Despite the fact that I was late canceling the trial and was automatically charged for a year, the Customer Support team gave me the time I needed to explain my problem, then reversed the charge, all the time treating me in a very friendly manner. I recommend Dropbox as a company that provides an extremely useful service and treats its customers as valued people.
Fab service and great product! I have been using dropbox since day one and it makes accessing files from multiple computers and mobile devices a breeze! I've never had an issue with downtime or any problems of any sort.
I'm a free user so i don't have any problems that paid users mentioned. Probably, it's the solution... i'm okay and there's enough space for me, so i will stay this way.
Dropbox maxes it real easy to synch up my files between a bunch of different computers.
I love this product, it help me drop my u disk, and I can get my file everywhere in an easy way.
I use this a lot as I design websites in my spare time; it's very convenient for moving big files.
Never had a wrong with this client. Sharing files ranging from docs, clips, music, and files (above 24 mbs or whatever you think is big) that are above what emails can send is simply amazing. I've used it for plenty of organizations and family members. Get it! What's good about it... Its free!
