I have been calling the DMV I have endured long wait times, once I speak to an agent there rude and want help passed my question. They don't go above and beyond there compacity the people who cannot go enter DMV without any appointment. From my understanding they've been working the whole covid19, now what have they been doing. They should more compassion and understanding thru time. Mandortory action line you never answers and they talk to you crazy also. Why is this is this the new normal? This is not okay.
Mediocre employee Maggie at front door gave me all the wrong information! Returned another day with forms she said I needed to bring! Interviewers never asked for them! She ought to be fire!
The online test requires a selfie. I had to shoot the selfie about 40 times before it was finally accepted. I tried to get help from a live chat agent, but the only suggestion she gave me was to reboot my system. After rebooting, I had to retake picture another 40 times, finally moved on to the sharing screen part, i said OK to share the screen (they do this to make sure you're not cheating) and then my computer froze up and I had to reboot. I tried it again a third time (40+ times to get selfie accepted, AGAIN) and it stated on the screen "Welcome to the DMV Automated Knowledge Testing Expansion (AKTE) Terminal Touch the Screen to Continue!". I do not have a touch screen on my PC. The site seemed to think I was on an internal DMV PC, not my home PC. This whole procedure went terribly wrong. I tried a fourth time to log on, and when I clicked to get the verification code (needed for logon), the site refused to let me go any further with the verification. So, I don't know if I've lost my 41.80 that I paid to take this online test or not. By taking the test online, I was hoping to avoid a prolonged ordeal in the DMV office. But the ordeal in the DMV office is now starting to look better than the ordeal online.
As much as walking in with a likely commercial transit upgrade I fell out of a shorchange and foundt my sixy was indeed too fifty.
I hate paying the dmv to supposedly fix the roads and lessen traffic. But this online service makes it much easier to part with my hard earned money.
DMV Seaside license renewal was smooth and easy. I had appt. Agent came out before 8 AM to pre screen then window agent, Cathy, was friendly and helpful. TY for service to people. WWM
Wow! Electric DMV car from Cali makes it all the way to NJ. Must have long A** extension cord. Maybe not so green after all.
