This company has to be the shadiest corrupt entity that I have ever experienced. Could be why they have a one-star review everywhere I look. You can't talk to anybody that speaks good English and you have to struggle to understand what they're saying... and that would be after the 45 minutes you're on hold. I would think a company that is worth 3.45 BILLION DOLLARS would offer their customers a bit more other than raising our rates over charging us and then subjecting us to the customer service that we can't even understand. Sad sad sad. RUN AWAY FOLKS... check out their reviews I haven't been able to find anything positive
I have recharged dish TV and it is not working, when I called them they said we have to book technication from there side for which they will charge Rs 200 for each visit.
In March I faced the same problem and there technication came and did some thing and he charged us 350 rs. Again we are facing the Sam problem, we need to pay again 200rs item's.
If you have such problem every month you need to pay 200rs
I asked them to cancel my account and refund back my reached amount of Rs. 370, customer care executive says they don't have refund policy.
In any services company there are refund policy, but this Disttv doesn't have.
I used there service for more then 10 years, but now I recommend strongly please do not take the dish connection.
When DiSH went out of service, as RV'ers, we couldn't call to get our locals changed to our new destination (the only reason we even got this service was for the locals). After a month or two, they were answering phones but would tell you there was an 80+ minute wait. I refused to do this, so we had no service for OVER three months. When I could finally get them on the phone, "Rebecca" insolent customer service rep, rudely told us that since we weren't able to wait 80+ minutes for service, it was our fault and no refund would be forthcoming. As far as the first month or two when they were DOWN, we qualified for that incredibly insulting $11.84 refund. We will be dropping them like a hot potato!
I have been told several lies by their customer service management team. Even emailed the CEO and, of course, I was sent back to the same people who continue to lie. I've been a long time customer and I would tell anyone now run. Nothing but problems, issues, bad service and lies. Oh but they want that money every month.
Do not go with Dish Network they have horrible service it starts sprinkling outside and you lose your cable and it takes forever to get it back if it comes back I would not recommend Dish Network to anyone
When I signed up for Dish they guaranteed that I qualified for $150 Visa gift card. I talked to them 2 weeks ago and they said my gift card would be in the mail give it five business days well it's been two three weeks and I have not received my gift card yet I think they are running this scam on people I think it's all b******* so I give them one star
My father in law had dish for a number of years before he passed away. I called and canceled his service and asked for a box so I could return his cable box and remote. Then they kept sending bills so I called again and explained the situation. Then they sent another bill with early a termination fee and return fee. I would never use their service because they are way too expensive and and no one in customer service has a brain or a heart.
I live out in the country so satellite is my only resource for a network. For the past few years I had Dish Network, some trouble here and there however lately we have very poor service at our home. I called for a tech to come to the house to figure out why. I RENT their equipment but regardless I was told there would be a charge for the tech to come out. Either $10.99 with a year contract for insurance or a flat fee of $103 that must be paid up front before they would book a tech to come. I declined and decided to ditch the dish. Purchased a Roku Ultra ~ happy happy happy.
When I called to cancel my service the service representative was rather cocky, saying I should have just ask to be canceled and he could have waived the tech charge and/or could have added a few services to make up the difference. Nope, went from paying $120 a month to paying $25. Yay
.Just got off phone with Arcia in Philipines. 1 1/2 hours later and he would not give us his customer number, a supervisor or someone in United States when asked. He told us we were his only choice. Screw up in bill and he kept repeating me to go to my bank and we explained to him it was not on our end (can go online for that) I had talked to someone in their customer service 6 days prior who told me someone else had paid into our account and then it was taken out. Deaf ears as I totally explained situation to him and then he went back to the same talking points. I can see why there are not good reviews. Wanted to resolve and pay what I owe but guess that's not going to happen. Will be canceling their service soon. History: 1)Their system got hacked 2)Tried for 2 weeks to call and pay online but couldn't 3) Called and on hold for half hour to be put on hold for another half hour. 4) Paid bill from checking with phone call as website would not allow me as I did in the past. 5) Got next statement saying we owed zero balance. 6) got new statement saying we were past due. 7) Called and got credit for hassle and overcharge. Was suppose to get email regarding credit in 72 hours which we never got and was told the could not send me a corrected bill 8)Got new statement adding another late fee on for next month. 8) Arcia kept saying double payment was made with one from our charge card and one from checking which they don't even have number to charge card and kept repeating same story to call bank. Personally I believe they double entered payment on their end. How hard and how much time does one have to put into paying a bill.

Rented a movie last night to watch to night. Re-recorded and was available to watch for 48 hours but when try to watch received message that it had expired. Can call center can't get in touch with anyone to talk about the situation.

I recently terminated with DishTv. They sent a box to return their items. They want you to return the hub which is normally outside and also remove a part of the dish antenna. I'm 80 years old and they expect me to climb up a latter and remove the the part from the antenna or hire someone to do it. Then they expect you to go to UPS and drop it off, in my case it's 40 miles to a UPS store. To top it off they owe me money and apparently they won't return it until I return all the products. They are doing everything in their power to make it hard to quit. I see their trucks where I live doing installs, why couldn't they come by and uninstall. I truly mean it when I say don't subscribe to DishTv
My mother died in December 2022. Called to cancel service in April when I realized I am still be debited for her bill on my bank account. Explained that she died 4 months ago and obviously she was not using their service and they refused to give me my money back. Heartlessness from a sad and pathetic company.
This is the 2nd time I lost ABC and it's been out for several months! Rediculous!

Dish switches most of your favorite recorded shows over to On Demand, and when you try to watch them either tells you "this event has expired" or simply offers you no other option but to press "delete", no reason given. These are shows you programmed to be recorded by your DVR for later viewing. I've absolutely had it with this poorly-run company. I'm switching to Hulu.
Tired blue screen everytime I turn on my TV and having to unplug for 10+seconds. I'm very weary of this crap!
We lost service to only the living room around March 27. The other rooms were working fine. Called customer service they sent a technician out. He said it could be tv or receiver. He left without restoring tv. I called customer service again they sent another. This time he put it in writing the tv needed replacing. I bought a new tv it still wouldn't work. I called customer service again. They again sent another tech out 4/22/23. He has to replace the receiver and the tv works now. I'm out $600 and dish doesn't even care. I've been a loyal customer for over 25 years. I just can't believe the incompetence of dishes technicians and a customer service that just doesn't care. The whole dish system is screwed up and don't work as it used to but they keep taking $ from us like they are the only choice around. Remind me of communism.

I have paid DISH for satilite t.v. For many years. But when they went for all the streaming, channel selection, microphone, dvr, amazon prime the whole system became very unreliable/confused/and total pain in the &&&&. Call for service and get ready to wait/wait/...maybe because there are many customers with problems. I am told ''OH' engineneering is working on this problem. Forget dish/direct they both the same systems...go best cable in your area.
Answer: Because it sounds great to have 1200 channels even if 1195 channels are nothing but infomercials, most people like me think wow I will have so many movies to watch I might have to record 5 while I watch 1 but after you get your 1200 channels you realize most every movie you would like to see can only be viewed if you pay an extra rental fee, another huge disadvantage to satellite tv is the frequency of commercials and the time the commercials are shown, regular tv used to be a 2 minute commercial break, dish network and directv have over 5 minute commercial breaks

Answer: They bait and switch with their supposed DVR recording option that they change to On Demand, making it impossible for you to watch what you thought you recorded.
