I ordered $299 worth of trees for our new property in January. Waited and waited for some type of communication. Nothing. Spring turned to summer still no communication. Never received my order. I emailed asking for a refund. Response from them was shocking, unprofessional, and unwilling to make anything right. Had to appeal to my credit card company for help. This company needs to be shut down!
Direct Gardening mailed me a rose with dead black canes. I mailed it back to them per instructions for a refund.
They say they didn't get it. There is no money back guarantee! Do not order anything from these crooks!
The plants we received after waiting an inordinate amount of time were dead. It is not worth our time or effort to try to revive them. From the reviews, I am not even going to TRY to deal with the company.
We paid 9.99 for shipping of a large few ounce envelope and would not put more money in to ship it back to them.

First, it took 7 1/2 weeks to have my plants delivered. Once delivered, I received 2 trees and a holly bush as 3 small sticks. I planted them they day I received them and only one has signs of green on it's "stick". The rest of the items that I purchased were "flowers". Only 3 came as starter flowers, the rest were tiny sticks/bulbs to put in the ground. Only 3 out of the many flowers that I purchased have even begun to grow, though they still have no blooms. I spent $114.00 for nothing! This place is a rip off! Be warned, do not purchase anything from this company!
I just received my order today and all is nothing but dead sticks. Be even says on the package crop failure, really? That's what I paid for? And you can't call the number is always busy. This is not what was supposed to be sent to me. I spent fifty - seven dollars on nothing. What a waste. The magazines look great please do not waste your time or money.
Take your money. Takes weeks to get partial shipment. Potatoes arrived liquid. Could smell the rotten potatoes before opening bag. Most had leaked out of bag. Policy is to get money back you must return product and pay to mail back. This costs more than the product and I can't send back rotted potato liquid that ran down my arms. I still have not received the second part of my order.
If I could give zero, i would, They sold me bunch of dry roots for the flowering, live plans. Nowhere in the website, there is a mention of the size or the condition of plants. I reached out to them to get my money back, they said they only replace the products if I send them the label by mail while I had purchased everything electronically. Please don't buy anything from this website.
All my plants were smaller than described, several were dead and I have to pay the shipping to return them to get my refund after I already paid 10 bucks to get them here. Half my order did not come and the number is always busy when I call. I have emailed there customer service and still no reply since March. It's now into April and still no reply or refund for my plants that were never delivered. Worse company I've ever dealt with. Even the free gift flowers that I received looked horrible. I spent $130 with them. Money lost!
Never buy from Direct Gardening. The items they send are either dead or die shortly after. I asked to cancel a second order I placed shortly after my first order (I should have read reviews on them first), but got nowhere with cancellation. Plants in second order primarily dead/dried out. Although I asked for a refund, I don't hold out much hope. As another reviewer stated--an expensive lesson but one I won't repeat, as I will never buy from them again.
Ordered a tree rose, took about 2 months to receive. Tree rose arrived not in a box but in a plastic bag without any protection. Canes broken and poking through the plastic. Opened the plastic and found a dried, very brittle and DEAD tree rose. I requested a replacement but who knows when I'm going to get it. You would think that they would rush it since I've wasted couple months waiting for the dead tree rose. I should have read the reviews before I placed my order. Stay away from this vendor. Don't waste your money!
I purchased the giant Asian pear from this company for my NC home and a 3 in one pear for my sister in Africa 3 months ago, and once I received it (after a month and 2 weeks of waiting) It arrived COMPLETELY dead. Contacted customer service, and was told you can only receive a refund during the first month of purchase. I told them I didn't receive it until after a month and they said "not our problem it's the shipping company" and hung up. NEVER purchase from here. Scammers and rude.
0 stars for this company. Offer a 1 year warranty on their products only if you have original shipping label. Who the heck keeps shipping labels. I have my receipt and bank statement showing them being paid, they have record of my order but I need the original shipping label for them to make good. Would never use again and highly suggest everyone to run from this company.
I paid for 6 weeping cherry seedlings and got branch cuttings not a seedling i could've done that myself all the roots were cooked from being shipped in a bag no green on any of the sticks that were sent just a shame
Deceptive and misleading advertisement. While they display very nice pictures at reasonable prices, the plants they send you do not at all resemble the order placed or the price you pay!.

Will never order from them again. Most of the plants arrived dead. Some of this could have been fedex because they are extremely bad at delivering and I had to call them to find out what was up with my package. But direct gardening would not replace even 1 because I didn't have the original records from the package. I had all the other conformation emails. Very poor customer service. I will never order from anyone associated with them again.
I ordered some roses for my mothers memorial garden. I received some cheaper plants, but not the roses. However, these bums charged me anyway and wont give me a refund. I would advise everyone to stay away from them.
Their plants show up dead and they don't honor their guarantee. It takes weeks instead of days to get a response and most of the time you can't get them on the phone. This is an awful company, one star is really too good for them.
My rose tree came shipped in a bag Broken and dead. I planted it and after a few months, nothing. They sent me my voucher but I'm not sure if I want to use it.

My sisters and I ordered $160 worth of rose bushes as a gift for my mom for mother's day. Given the pandemic and their notice on shipping delays+demand, I was completely accepting that there was a 3-4 week delivery timeframe. SEVEN weeks later, I received a notice that my card was declined and my order was cancelled and to resubmit the order. (Within that time I had debit card fraud and it had been replaced with a new one.) I contacted them asking if I could give a new cc number but they said no, I would have to resubmit the order and wait an additional 7 weeks to have the order filled. They're heavy Google ads advertising gets them at the top of the page--this is not through merit! Spend your money with a good company. I ordered over $140 worth of plants my first order. They arrived in horrible to "dead" state. They offer to replace but you have to send in original label (which I did) each time. Then they replace with more horrible plants. You also have to send everything snail mail so I always sent certified so they had to reply. I've lost money with them because you finally get so beat down from dealing with then you just give up! The last time I sent back the "fix" plants that were in poor condition I did not send certified... big mistake they never responded and I just threw in the towel! Never do business with this company!
I have now received 3 replacement orders for the 3 dead replacements they have sent. Customer service is rude and insulting, and make it next to impossible to prove they are in the wrong. This is really a bad scam company. Save your time and money, and work with an HONEST company
Answer: Yes it Is absolutely real. They are thieves. I just called my credit card company to do the dispute becoz they are not responsible for the dead plants they sent to me with all the charges including the shipping fee. This company has to be shut down for their dishonest business. I will fight for it and no more people will be mistreated and cheated.
