“Wow! Talented designers are within reach, and within budget.”

Second time user, another great experience all around. Got exactly what we needed. Communication and sharing of files made easy. We recommend Designhill to connect with great talent. Our first engagement was to set up a design contest (for a marketing brochure.) A dozen talented designers sent their drafts, it was hard to narrow it down to just a few. The eventual winner not only had a great eye for creating attractive layouts, but also took the time to understand our business. For our second project with Designhill, instead of a contest we created a project (trade show display) and engaged with the same designer. Great results both times.

“Be cautious of scams”

nulled n.

Be cautious with this website for designers, as they may deceive you given the chance. There are numerous tricks they employ to deceive people. In my case, the money for a 1-1 project was not released to me. It's strange, my client suddenly disappeared after I provided the design, and when I reported it to the support team, there was no response; they never replied to my messages, and even the live chat button on my account disappeared. I suspect my IP address was blocked, but when I use a VPN to access this website, I can engage in live chat. Be careful; if possible, try to find designers outside of this website.

They don't even reply, since they have deducted the money in advance, if you have any request or if u dont like the design, or the designers didn't submit the design as per your brief, you can't go back or get a refund as they describe, I have been sending emails for the past 2 months, they dont care to reply back nor refund us.

I ordered a t-shirt for my husband for Christmas on 11/30/21 and received a message on 12/1 that it had been processed and shipped. They charged my credit card and I waited. And waited. When I contacted them, got the run around and as of 1/3/2022, no refund and no product. Terrible experience with customer service, just around and around and around with no result. Stay away! You will just be throwing your money away.

Tip for consumers:
Don't do it.

No Payment To Creatives. They are a bunch of scammers!

This scam website withholds creative payments for up to 1 months.

Dear Clients,

Just know that after you've paid DesignHill for your project, this scam website does not release payments to creatives. They withhold both the commission and the contest award under the guise of payment delay.

Payment delay for 1 month, in 2023! Asked support manytime with no reply and suddenly they therefore they post this message "Your registered account will now be deactivated and the account
Will be permanently blocked along with blocking of the associated IP. Any money associated with this account will be forfeited."

Creatives don't have any avenue to reveal the ongoing scam on this website.

Please, ask them questions before you order a project.

Ask them about their creatives' welfare. Ask them how soon a winning creative receives his payout.

On average, they withhold payment and if you complain, they ban your account and you lose permanently. Remember on their site, they said a maximum of 48 hours

The guarantee is also fake, they never refund.

This is the most unprofessional and dubious website in the year 2023.

A bunch of scammers headed by the scammer-in-chief, Rahul Agrawal and the copy-and-paste support team even don't you get reply forever sometime.

I paid for a label design contest and was to get 30 different designs. I got 15 and none came close to what was asked for. They looked like stock photos, not a custom design.

I asked for a refund since they have a "money back guarantee". They won't give me one. Instead, they extended the contest which I don't want. I've repeatedly asked for my money.

This is a shady company run by scammers. Be warned they might not be creating original designs and you can't get your money back.

I don't see how this company gets 5 stars. These must be paid reviews.

I have reported security vulnerabilities but they never care about customer's security. Vulnerabilities are still up and haven't fixed yet, also the team is very irresponsible, including their managers, they are always closing my support tickets and stalling me.

Don't believe me? Enter the website and you will discover lots of security vulnerabilities in minutes also they are printing your hashed password in source codes, so it causes data leaks easily.

You should stay away from this company if you care about your security.

I find it interesting that folks come on here and recommend the Designhill platform as a reputable source for graphic design work. Perhaps you shoud keep reading what I have to say, and then decide if the platform is to be commended.

I'm one of many graphic artists that use the platform as a source of income. The graphic design industry is overflowing with designers and job prospects are hard to come by. In other words, there are far too many talented people out there, and not enough jobs to cater for everybody. Thus, humanistic instinct takes over, and a fight for survival is at the vanguard of my life. Putting it mildly, I need to put food on my table in order to survive. However, how can I do this if the platform that I instil trust with providing me with a source of income doesn't pay me for my work and winning contests?

Yes, you read it correctly! I've not been paid for logo design contests I've won!

Furthermore, I've contacted the platform's CEO, *, on numerous occasions regarding the subject matter and nothing's been done about it. I'm still waiting for a measly $199 from over a year ago. Moreover, I won another contest early this February month, and still await payment for that design. Desighill's contractual agreements stipulate that both the client and then designer have 14 days to finalise the process prior to uploading final design files. This latest contest is well over the contractual date and in itself is a breach of contractual agreement and the onus is on Desighill to sort the matter out. When clients join the platform in search of graphic design work, and prior to posting their contest online, they provide Desighill with credit card details and an amount is deducted for the posting process. In other words, the company has been paid for a portion of the stipulated design contest amount thus they charge the client. That's when I enter the picture. I spend hours of my time designing and uploading designs to the platform. Some I lose others I win. However, not being paid for your wins after so much effort, love, and dedication has gone into the process, is both heart breaking and dehumanising. Designhill's duty of care toward their designers in non-existent. I'm but one of a plethora of designers that remain to be paid for their work. Regardless of their rethoric and excuses, Designhill's management is callous and uncaring.

Please think twice about using the platform for your graphic design work. Think about designers like me, folk that provide you with the work you expect to receive for what you're paying, and in turn don't get paid for their hard work. Next time you look at your logo design on your blog or website, and a logo that you bought from Designhill, remind yourself that the person that took great care, dedication, and love to create that beautiful design, has not been paid for his hard work.

If you're honest with yourself and have morals, think twice before posting your commendations apropos the Desighill platform.

From,

An unhappy designer.

This site is a disaster. The so-called designers have NO CREATIVE ABILITY. Most or amateurs at best. I spent 650.00 and got a bunch of crap. DO NOT GAURANTTEE payment or you will be screwed out of your money. This site is too complicated to navigate. They are there to take the most money from you that they can by promising things they cannot deliver. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. YOU WILL NOT COME OUT HAPPY. I gave up finally and had to reward a designer the win after I ended up doing the design myself. NEVER< NEVER >AGAIN will I use this site. Most of the good reviews I believe are fake reviews. Find you a REAL GRAPHIC ARTIST locally to do your work. IT WILL PAY OFF. I am having to take what I got form them and have it redone. THEY ARE AWFUL!

Design Hill is a good way to get a cheap logo or graphic design that your company needs especially if you are a start up company and investing thousands into branding isn't in the budget yet. Now from our experience, it is really hard to get a quality logo using this platform since about 85% of the work submitted look repetitive and similar as well as not matching our description and visual briefs. This made us worried that the logos might not be original and they might exist somewhere else for other companies. But we did get about 15% of logos that seemed authentic and were fitting to our description. Therefore, using this platform is really what you make of it. Research the logos being submitted to insure that they are authentic, communicate with the designer to make sure that they fulfil your design brief needs and so on. Other than for this fact, we did actually enjoy using the platform due to the price range and the ability to have multiple submissions to review against.

Now this is what we really didn't like about using this site: the customer service. The first time we needed to reach out to them was due to making an upgrade on our contest using the $60 upgrade for top designers. When this update was made, it was not reflected on our contest after payment was withdrawn from our account. We reached out to the live support and ended up speaking with "Lucy". She was not warm, and did not exhibit any customer service skills. She was unconcerned and nonchalant. She was very defensive and made us feel like we were wrong for reaching out until we had no choice but to send screenshots to prove that payment was withdrawn. Once screenshots were sent, she said the system is just slow. The second time we reached out to design hill was when we decided to upgrade our contest prize by over $350. This decision was made due to the quality level of the logos we were receiving. Once this upgrade was made, we immediately noticed two transitions on our PayPal account and on our bank statement/online banking and in addition to this the contest money was not upgraded. After contacting design hill to alert them that there have been two transactions on our account instead of only one without our contest being upgraded, they started to say that is incorrect. We again sent screenshots. Then they proceeded to say that the second transaction is wrong, and that it will not process all the way. They also said within 24 hours that our contest prize will increase to the new amount. None of these things happened. After 2 days, Both transitions were fully debited from our account and the contest prize was still not updated. After reaching out to the team again, we were told that our contest prize would be increasing soon and that the second transaction has not been received. This has been a true headache. Now we are reaching out to our bank to block this second transaction. We contacted the team again and we have been told that the contest prize will be updated "asap" but it has yet to be updated. Since the first transaction still is not reflected on our contest, we will most likely have to block that also and go through contacting the bank again.

This has been a nightmare. If we knew that using this site was going to be like this, we would have opted for paying more and getting better quality and customer service. At least if the system or technology is faulty (as this site clearly is) the customer service reps should be warm, understanding, and empathetic instead of defensive and seeming unconcerned/nonchalant. We have over 7 separate projects we needed complete outside of logos. We will be looking for designers elsewhere.

I ordered a logo at Designhill for $ 179.00 which offered 100% money back guarantee (no questions to be asked). After placing the order my password was reset by designhill and in the back-end they have changed my order selecting guaranteed option that does not offer money back. Also the designs provided by their contestant was copied from the internet which is the violation of copyright and illegal. I complained designhill and requested for refund. They denied to give any refund. My payment was made via PayPal and I submitted disputed to paypal. PayPal investigated the matter and collected the money back. Thus I got my money refund after two weeks. Thanks PayPal for saving my money. I hate this fraudulent activities of designhill where as the owner of the company is Indian. They should stop this illegals business or the appropriate authority should take necessary action to ban designhill. I request everyone to be aware about this fraudulent company.

Absolutely terrible customer service. First, I bought a logo that offered the logo, files, and font and colour details. I get the files and there are files called 'dark logo transparent' and 'white logo transparent' as well as the coloured versions, but the file itself doesn't match with this. It's all just the coloured version of the logo.

I live chat with customer services who tell me that nowhere does it say I get black and white versions. I argue a bit, she says I should hear something within 24 hours later.

24 hours later, I live chat again, I get told to wait another 24 hours. I get told again that nowhere is it written that you get black and white versions of the logos. I screenshot where it is written and also point out the other stuff I haven't had (details of font and colour). I'm then told that I've had the versions with a white background.

I explained that when offered black/white versions of a logo, that does not mean the background.

At this point, I was told to have patience.

So, when you're setting up a business and need to get things done, and have specifically used their simple logo design services because it's all automated and you don't want to be waiting around for people, have patience when you don't get what you paid for and are told that you aren't entitled to it anyway

I'm not sure where all of these 5 star reviews are coming from. I'm sure these people were offered some incentive to post a positive review. This company did not disclose their design operations are in India so there is a 13 hour time difference and constant miscommunication between me and the designer. This business model is set up for failure and when I tried to communicate this with customer service, they provided me with automated responses and no solutions. BUYER BEWARE!

I am out their design fee plus
I am out their design fee plus installation $2800. 00 of graphics they designed. I now have to pay $2800. 00 for re-installation of new design that I had to pay a different firm to re-design. They admitted the files were bad but offered 15% off their fee. Not to mention I have been paying on a van for (4) months that is still not ready and has not been assigned due to their mistake. Their support is joke numerous times we tried to contact them or designer contact them but no response. What a joke. Stay far away from this company. There should be an option for negative stars I would be on that side!

Hello Douglas,
Greetings from Designhill
We have checked your design and found that the designer provided you all files which were required for printing and installation on van. It seems that the printing company has generated the print’s using incorrect file format as they would have not used AI format for printing. The designer completed the project successfully
The discount was offered to you as a gesture of goodwill, as you were dissatisfied for the loss in printing, though it was not our fault

Unprofessional is the only way to describe this site. Everything seems fine until you actually try to complete a project. Designers are mostly foreign and there were issues with communication, they don't understand many details that are required for good work. Support is very slow in answering emails, there's no phone number or other ways to contact them. It took over a week to get an initial response, and then two weeks of going back and forth with explanations, still no results. Refund requests were ignored multiple times. No refund, no result, no reason to use them ever again or give them any more chances. They're not even cheaper than other contest sites, just more problematic and scammy. I learned my lesson. NO PHONE NUMBER means NO GOOD! Stay away, and if you're really up for a contest, try more established sites... there are plenty out there!

I would NOT recommend this firm for your logo needs. It's confusing, demanding and difficult. The staff within Customer Service does not understand the English language and they're incredibly rude.

I've demanded a full refund and maybe involving my corporate lawyer to retrieve a full refund for work that was promised and not delivered.

My team thought it would be interesting to try this approach for our firms rebranding. We started a contest for $200(dirt cheap). We received over 300 designs and many of them were very good. One down side is your inbox gets littered with competing designers requesting feedback. Once we had narrowed it down and chose the design we entered a process called the hand off. At this time the designer went completely MIA. We reached out to design hill on two occasions to make them aware of the situation with out any response. It was not until we reached out to PayPal to initiate a refund that we received a response. The design hill rep indicated to us that the designer had behaved inappropriately and was eliminated from their domain. Design hill's solution was to have another contest. We declined and asked for a refund. At this point design hill sent us a legal document agreeing not to use any of the designs presented to us during this contest with with a penalty of $50,000. We signed this electronic document and receive a receipt indicating that design hill had received it. Several days later we receive an additional email insinuating that they can not process our refund until they receive this affidavit which they had previously achkowledged receiving. In addition to that, the email proceeds to threaten us with potential legal action?

All we have done is contacted design hill, started a contest, chose the winner, the winner went of the rails and design hill eliminated the designer, we declined having an additional contest, and requested a refund.

We are not some small Indian Start up... If for some reason design hill wants to be litigious with us here in the states we can certainly do that, we do not respond well to bullying tactics.

Poor quality, difficult website to use, and when I wanted to make changes to my logo I was told I was unable to without upgrading for an additional 100 dollars with a 50% discount. Also when you purchase your logo you have to pay an additional 30 for every service. The quality is poor and no refunds are placed. Please go elsewhere unless you have money to waste.

Hello Franchesca,
Greetings from Designhill
With Basic & Premium Designhill packages on logo maker you can make changes to your logo within the first 7 days of purchase. That means you can edit the colors, fonts, spacing, slogan, symbol, and layout directly on your purchased logo during that time, however you will not be able to change the name of the company
In your case you wanted to change the company name on the logo, which is not allowed as you have already received all the source files for the logo you have purchased.
We offered you an upgrade to next level plan as it has an option to get the revisions done through a designer

Hello Heney,

First of all, we apologize for the delay caused however the refund has already been processed from our end. As per the platform policies the refund gets processed within 5-7 business days of requested date but due to some unpredictable scenario it got delayed and believe us, it was a rare instance. I hope you will understand and looking forward to serving to your design requirements again!

I went through the design process and was rather happy at first, then when i worked directly with designer to finalize, i discovered they had nearly copied another design. A design being used by designhill's examples no less!

I complained to the designer, who promptly sent me files without responding to my concern. Why? Because once they send the files they are obligated to be paid by YOU. I complained to the support but they sided with the scammer. I have been fighting for weeks now for the "100% guaranteed refund", but am told that because the designer sent the files, i am no longer allowed a refund.

In short, they are supporting scam behavior. It is up to YOU to ensure the design is not used elsewhere. Let me ask you, exactly how are you going to check an image for usage with every company that exists globally?! Do not trust this site. You are VERY likely to get a low quality rip off design, and never see a dime of your guaranteed refund.

Avoid at all costs.

I wanted to get several unique ideas for Logos. The only one that even came remotely close ended up just being a font I could have purchased myself for $20. The designer, once I declared the winner, would not get back to me at all and would not help me tweek the design. I ended up paying for the font and designing the logo MYSELF and still had to pay designhill other wise they threatened suit! I would go to Etsy or someone you can speak to before the design process starts.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

We found that you have a contest with us for $99 and have received more than 30 designs.

We provided you all the designs and source files when your designer was not responding in the handover. We helped you with the font name and a copy of font as asked by you.

Now that you have received all the source files, you can not back out saying that you created your own logo. You cannot create your own Logo based on our concepts and our hard work.

You have taken the design concept from the winning designer without paying him. You have taken all the files and font from us. Designer can send you legal notice if you use his DESIGN without his permission.

We have already provided you all the design and services and if you use the same design in future you will be alleged by the designer for copyright infringement!

You might get a decent design but if something goes wrong don't expect them to give you any money back! We have had issues twice now and we won't EVER use Designhill again! We did two contests for logos for our bar business and both contests the "designer" gave us files that could not be scaled beyond 2 inches! The second contest we even told the "designer" that we needed the logo for ours bars that are 4 feet with a photo of what they look like! We contacted him and he had the audacity to say it'd be another $200 to fix the files! We spent $800 on this crap site and they won't refund a cent! We are a month behind now to launch our new business because we're having to get the logo redrawn with the appropriate files from a graphic designer our CPA referred! More $$$ out of pocket! BEYOND UPSET! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY AWAY FROM DESINGHILL!

A very bad experience. More than 50% of designs I received did not follow the brief so they were completely useless. The designer I have chosen did not understand English which caused a huge lot of misunderstandings. He would do the changes I did not ask for and would not understand what I was asking for. To make sure he understands what I wanted I had to make screen shots of the design, draw the changes I wanted myself using Paint, make another screen shot, send it to him, explain it over and over again. By the time we finally started to have a some sort of dialogue the time allowed for submissions (4 days) ended and I had to pick a winner. I chose him as the winner and he has promised to do the changes I wanted. But the misunderstandings continued and there was no end to it. But the worst was yet to come because one day, while searching for yet another sample colour palette to show him (he got the background colour wrong), I found out that exact background he sold me on freepic.com and realised that he had been using free stock images! At this point I had to write to the support team to ask for a refund. They have assured me that they would pass on his design to their in-house team who would fix everything and re-do the elements that were taken from stock image websites. After spending 2 days in a nervous anticipation I received a design in a wrong colour yet again. I complained about it and asked it to be re-done but the only response I got was to give them more time. I could not wait any longer so asked them for a refund again but they just said that the time period for claiming the refund has expired so they have already "awarded" the designer with my money! So instead of giving me a refund when I asked for it (and when I still had time to claim it) they were simply buying themselves time with their long replies to my emails and false promises to re-do the design. I am extremely angry and disappointed, considering how much effort was wasted on communication with the designer, how much I trusted they would get everything fixed and how they bought time for themselves and eventually tricked me into paying $179 for something I would never use. More than anything, I feel wronged, made a complete fool of, and totally RIPPED OFF!

After multiple weeks and requests I am forced to publicly claim bad service.
My creative brief and contest was not bribing my the right designer. I asked for support from Lucy. When I was told yes they would help I have a date and time with my zoom number to contact me. No one did. I asked for a refund June 12. Repeatedly I was ignored. I filed three requests and finally got a release form which they delayed sending me. This caused the refund clock to not start. I have asked over and over for my refund and none has been paid
