I had an issue with my payment for an order due to my account getting hacked. Depop was 0 help. They took 10 days to reply to me, and gave me half assed responses. Just go sell on postmark or eBay instead. This app is trash and run by lazy people who don't care about your money.
Depop customer service team really needs some training in customer service and logical thinking bc none of their policy makes sense. I emailed them to get help when the buyer didn't contact me for more than 2 weeks to notify me that the person has moved to a new address after ordering an item from me and asking for a refund for the item she didn't pick it up from the post office even with the full tracking information saying that it's sitting in PO, just bc her lazy $#*! didn't want to go pick it up! It's too obvious to me that the buyer trying to scam me bc even tho she knew she was moving, she didn't give me the new address for the last 2 WEEKS. And now, depop tried to give me some moral lessons saying that not returning the item to the buyer is not nice. And when I told them I changed my location, I don't have the item, now they are saying 'After a closer look at this, as a one-time goodwill gesture, we will reimburse you if you refund the buyer in full.' ONE-TIME GOODWILL GESTURE? You reimburse that money to the buyer not me what the heck? The transaction closed when I sent the package to the buyer's address that she provided on PayPal and reached the destination. It's none of my business if the buyer didn't want to pick it up from the PO and sent it back to me again. I got my own life to sort out not like the buyer, I cannot be responsible for the buyer's nonsense. Have some logic depop. Not trading on this dumbass app anymore lol
Got barca jersey that was real surprisingly but it reek put through the wash it all good but there needs to be a middleman system so they don't accidently sell some illegal stuff plus from what i herd a lot of fake get through so wouldn't recommend to anyone even ebay is better about this stuff if you want find something for the low don't go here go to a list of trusted EBAY sellers for the item you want i got lucky dont take the gamble
The site is full of scammers and petty people. I ordered a pair of earrings from akstylez and when it arrived the package was empty and ripped. Opened a dispute with paypal, and in response they blocked me and left a nasty review on my store, telling people not to do business with me and a bunch of lies. All over 7 freaking bucks. Now that's a horrible thing to do to someone with a little store when yours is huge. They did it because they knew that even if I left a bad review it wouldn't matter because they are a "depop top seller" and top sellers easily get bad reviews removed. Where it is harder for someone like me with only 6 sales. I believe the seller is responsible for the package until I receive it. Even though the post office confirmed the envelope was empty when they received it at their facility they still felt the need to be spiteful. I had not even planned to leave a review on their store. I just wanted a refund or replacement, but their behavior was not acceptable. Depop will not reprimand top sellers, so if you get scammed by a top seller goodluck. You're negative review will be gone in days.
They will make it seem like I was in the wrong, for asking for a refund on an item I never received and they will get away with it. Because nobody cares about the fate of little shops on depop.
Depop allows users to publicly engage in the platform with account names like SUCKDIXXX, $#*!NERS, TWATSTITCH etc without a blink the same way they don't bat an eye at the outrageous amount of counterfeit handbags... the reports sent are never looked at and the listings are never authenticated, removed etc but that HOW DID WE DOOOOO!?!?!?!? Email is always in my inbox hours later. I reported a scammer after noticing sketchy listings and again after I messaged her back when she reached out to me... being a sketchy scammer that no one (except for Depop) has any time or patience for. I know that Depop finally read that "report" because I was banned for being a THREAT to the "Depop Community" :/ She's still scamming people on Depop though :) Want some icing on this cake? After banning me "Tara" from Customer Service emailed that she hopes I understand that although I'm an "immediate threat" to the community she needs me to help her confirm information about this scammer... who they still allow to scam (ehhem, I mean sell) on the platform. WHAT? No Tara no, sorry... double standards galore!
I had sold so much on depop and always put up with there ridiculous fee and then out of no where they just deleted my account with no warning and then refused to let me contact the people who I'd sold the items to to let them know they had been posted. The staff are so rude and care for nothing than themselves. Someone invent a better platform!

I have used Depop for a several years, got all 5 stars reviews. And then they deleted my account. That's it... they don't care buyers or seller because i still have many orders ready to ship out but they won't let me contact them at least let them know i will send out the products to release their worried. This is very rude! To buy or sell here have no protection i strongly not recommend and very disappointed!
EDIT: As of several hours after publicizing this review and attempting to reach out to Depop Support, they have continued removing my items with no reason stated and no response to my inquiries. Boycott this company and their malicious and biased attacks on small businesses.
I've been selling authentic vintage clothing online and at in-person markets for years. I am a small business, and I depend on my income from my business. I don't use Depop much and my following on there is small; nonetheless I have nothing but 5 star reviews. Recently I reported a user for blatant search manipulation / fraudulent listing practices (literally listing an item under a brand name it was not) because I got tired of wading through HUNDREDS of false listings to find an item I wanted (Depop allows so many sellers to break and bend the rules, because they don't pay any attention). So what happened? I woke up to an email that literally my most popular "liked" item that had been up for months had been removed without any explanation for "listing practices" with THE MOST condescending email. It is SO OBVIOUS that this was a completely personal and petty strike against my account for complaining and a shot at me as a smaller seller. All of my listings are identical, in a few years on Depop I have never once been reported or had interference like this for any reason. Someone on support apparently was having a bad day and took it out on my account. These are the kind of repulsive human beings that are in control at this app and this is what one should expect when using it. In a time with so much hatred and undercutting in the world, no one needs this, Depop.
I just want to make other depop sellers aware of the VERY POOR delivery service Depop is offering in collaboration with Hermes: 3 out of 7 parcel I have posted using this service got missing and received ZERO help. After MANY emails to the costumer service (almost 2 months) it turns out that I have to refund the buyer out of my pocket, and depop will cover only £20 - I have been told it was my decision to use their service (advertised as a wonderful and safe solution for people shielding during the pandemic), so I should pay the consequences. Basically like if I advertise myself for a project, get the money, screw up the project and then blame it to employer as it was his choice to give the project to me, not taken responsibility for the very poor service provided. I hope this post/review is useful to other people that would naively trust Depop delivery like I did - is crap, they know, and won't do anything to help or rectify it!
Team depop unjustly deleted my selling account which I had put a lot of effort time and money into, I hadn't done any of the things they said they'd deleted it because of and they didn't bother to respond to any of my emails of complaint! The app also crashes loads and the customer service is dreadful. I now know Lots of people have had similar experiences. So overall don't bother wasting your time.
Bad experience, little to no seller protection and got falsely accused of not shipping out the item when i had done so. Depop didnt do anything to help except to give me a negative paypal balance. Prior to that, my payment was being held for weeks. Experience was a bad one and not recommended. Additionally, some people there can be pretty mean, not all though. Do stay away!
Customer service sucks to high heaven. They make charges against your bank with no explanation. There's no way to contact or ask questions besides some flaky help desk support link. Purely sucks
Full of counterfeit items, yet Depop does little to remove these items and users. Some of which have been on the platform for sale for over a year. Depop also doesn't reply to any complaint emails, and on the rare occasion they do, they are very rude and unhelpful!
Depop is good to buy some cheap "vintage" bs, but NEVER buy anything expensive here. THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING! If you have any issues they just send you a paypal link and ask to open a dispute there. 0 customer service. This platform is just a joke.
I bought shoes here that were supposedly in NY, after making the Paypal payment, the seller was in Hong Kong. Noticed that the shoes were counterfeit. Seller would not answer and Depop would not do anything about it. Al they have is a representative commenting on the reviews of this site as if they cared about what happens to you. They didn't even register the purchase under my profile. Their buyer protection is non-existent. Buy elsewhere.
The customer service is a scam. This is completely ridiculous of being not responsive and complete useless for the customer service. I'm the seller and it suspended my account claimed that for some unacceptable reason and refund my money to clients even I sent out the item with tracking provided! This is the worst customer service ever
I am a successful seller on on Poshmark, Mercari and Curtsy app. My daughter wanted to try to sell on Depop. She set up her account, verified her PayPal and listed a few items. After one item sold, she was unable to generate a shipping label. We tried everything, including going to Depop Facebook message board and contacting Depop customer service by email. Meanwhile we had no answer for the buyer since we could not get an answer from customer service or help through the message board. After two days we messaged the buyer to look us up on another app and buy it there. Usually just mentioning another platform or taking a sale off platform Will get you banned or at least a warning. At this point we didn't even care. It has been over five days without an answer from Depop. I'm sure, once they get to her email, they will see the communication. Who knows, maybe in two months? I can't even imagine what would happen if you would receive an item that is not as described and there is no way you can a hold of anybody and your money gone. Or you make a nice sale and I have to cancel it because Depop customer service cannot help you at all! TERRIBLE! It's also very confusing, as the information how do use the app jump back-and-forth or include information for the website in Great Britain.
I used to love Depop but now I absoloutley hate it! The team are just absolutely ridiculous they rob money from you from the fees when you refund people and they don't give it you back they speak to u like crap don't $#*! down peoples accounts when they've scammed people but shut down mine for abusive Behavior towards somebody but would no show me any proof or tell me who the altercation was with they continued to patronise me they have no consideration towards people with mental health issues they are a disgraceful unprofessional disgrace of a company who should be shut down because they simply do not deserve to reap the benefits.

Answer: Major scam. And not worth the fees they will charge you to sell. Rubbish and rude customer service, and the people buying off you will try to scam you by lieing to Depop and PayPal saying they never received the item. But when you track the tracking number they've signed for the item themselves!
Answer: An apparent availability of items that were not available elsewhere. Turns out that the reason that they were available is that they were fakes and frauds.
Answer: It might be a scam honestly, i would say open a dispute with them. Mercari is a lot better btw, way cheaper. Mercari also holds the money until your item is delivered and you inspect and review the item.

Jerks banned my account and I've never had any bad reviews and nothing but positive sales but they will continue to allow scammers to steal your stuff and still haven't seen any of my payments from items I sold since they stopped my account. They said today I should get my money by 7/9/2023 it's 9/6/2023. So apparently they don't even know what month we are in right now. Idiots
