Since I made a payment thru paypal, which linked in to the 2checkout shopping cart, I was able to recoupe $29.95, of the $39.95 I paid to use the service after 30 minutes. I got scammed out of $10.00 they call a setup fee, which you have to set up yourself. Service is filed with a lot of hidden fee's which will make it hard to start a dating service if your'e on a tight budget. You also have to pay an additional fee to have a shopping cart, or any other feature's you may want to use, for your site. You could end up spending $70.00 or more per month just to use this service.

It's obvious that there's lots of spam self-advertisement against datingsitebuilder. Although I have not joined datingsitebuilder, and not one of them either, was reading reviews before signing up but realized some of the latest reviews just look like spam. They are actually spam:

1. "Fraudulent Company. Very Bad Experience" by Jennifer. She said she paid $7000? I have been keeping my eye on datingsitebuilder and I thought they only had $20, $50, $100, and Enterprise $150 per month service plans. Not sure where the $7000 came from. The post also trying hard to recommend the guy "Josh". You think it's not spamming?

2. "Worst customer service RIP OFF" by Jack. Same purpose = trying to recommend another website DateDev.com. You think it's not spamming?

3. "PISS POOR SERVICE". $10/month, they never had this low, not sure where it came from. $10 to $150? On the website, there's $150 / month service which is the Enterprise version. Without the usage report, can't say if it's overage charges or not, but seems like it.

I will keep doing research before I make up my mind to go with datingsitebuilder or somewhere else, but interesting to see all these spamming, self-promotion posts that sitejabber allows.

I bought into this... crap. If you have a least bit of common sense, using the software is very easy. Of course, just starting out with figuring out how you want your site to be you will have questions, right... trust me, DO NOT HAVE QUESTIONS because it will take them upwards of over two weeks to respond! I have two open tickets which are at least two weeks old. Just over the weekend i cancelled my recurring payments through 2CO, then i went back to the home page to see how to cancel the invoice. YOU HAVE TO DO BOTH! This was like, 3 or 4 days ago, i still haven't seen a response from them that my invoice is cancelled and the $99 will be refunded and it's a week before my 30 day trial period. Now i'm out looking for another solution and it looks like eMeeting might be my next choice but they're in the UK. At this point, i'm most interested in customer service and not having to wait more than a day for a response. If they can manage to respond to my questions in a reasonable amount of time, i don't care where they're located. Also concerned about starting a website with 0 profiles to start... that just doesn't appeal to me, but from what i'm reading here, nor does buying into shared profiles. Sighs, what's a girl to do? SkaDate is my 2nd choice but they do not offer refunds. Their caveat is to test drive the demo before buying.

I don't know what to do. I have read the horriable things about datinsitebuilder about the features not working even though I paid for them. I still cannot find my web site online even though they told me it's up a running correctly and I have to agree with most people, the support sucks! I was at my computer for 4 hours on day just trying to get support to aswer one question and it has been two weeks later and my issue is not resolved. I wish I would have never signed up with these people.

I have tried this site for a while, it crashed 2-4 times for me, unable to use the page or thier homepage to contact them. Written to them for over 2 month that I want to cancel my account, as im unable to do it myself, as i only get an error code when I try. They responded ok in the beginning, but now they didnt answer for 2 month, so of course they charged me for this, even though I asked how to cancel my payments, they just ignore. I have blocked my cc and you will never get a dime out of me, 2co.com OR datingsitebuilder. Never use them!

My friend referred me to this company- DatingSiteBuilder. At first, I was hesitant to involve myself in this kind of company because I don't want to waste money participating in any business that I am not well-informed and I am not sure of the company's integrity. Although at the end, I was convinced by my friend to avail the company's offers because of her good feedbacks to their dating software, I am also happy with my decision. I am very impressed with DatingSiteBuilder's service along with the impressive attitude of the techs.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE! I did not get the software that was advertised on their site. I called 2CO, their payment provider, for a refund and they will not give my refund and said to call datingsitebuilder.com. Hello, how can you call the company if the 800# does not work. And watch out for the foreign fees that you will incur on your credit card. This means that they are not even in the USA as they say in their website. Datingsitebuilder.com is clearly a SCAM on all directions. Check our reviews and decide for yourself.

WARNING: This is not a company, this site is ran by 1 person who steals other company web scripts and hosts them illegally and or sells the copyrighted web script files to people as their own work. Today we here at Camscripts.com contacted several people in regards to this, we have filed a complaint with the Att General in our area and we are also required to go to our local FBI building to file against this person for violating copyright laws. We have one of the many stolen web scripts they sell in our hands and it is ours, we own the copyright and they do not. They were even stupid enough to copy the text from our website and paste it directly onto their front page, this is the main thing that screwed them. So according to our local FBI this should all be over soon. They would of course be made to pay restitution so if you didn't get your money back from this company you should keep up to date with this thread or us at camscripts.com because we do intend to file criminal charges as well as seek restitution from this person as well as any littler helpers they may have. So in short, you are getting ready to have one hell of a run in with the court system. I see no reason at this point to tell anybody to stay away from this company, I think at this point it is more than clear that this is not a company but rather a common thief. We are just hoping they were stupid enough to copyright our already copyrighted script as that would tack more prison time on in a big way, I have to say it is a good feeling to finally catch this jerkoff.

Started using datingsitebuilder since 2010. My dating site is growing but slowly. Datingsitebuilder has provided enough help to get my site up and running. From time to time they may make changes to the site. Sometimes there's glitches after the update but they fixed it right away. I like about the profile sharing feature. It helps alot when I started out. One thing I don't like is that you don't have access to these shared members, meaning you can't remove profiles that you don't like. They will always be there. You can only select featured profiles that you can put on your home page or other pages. The dating templates are great. I think there are about 50+ templates and all are free! But I don't change the template very often once I decided which I want to use. Server is VERY STABLE to be honest. Not sure about others complaint about the server. From my memory, it's never been down. Just a few times it's a bit slow in loading. Otherwise, i think it's the best server and hosting I have ever experienced with.

I just read these reviews after I purchased the dating software. I was worried about it at first. So just crossed my fingers and tried it install the software myself. The installation was quite easy although there's no one-click installer. Website is setup immediately (I updated dns with my hosting before hand), but it took me a few tries to figure out the path on my server. Once it's setup, everything works like it's described. CMS only works for new pages you created, not default pages like home page or search. I have to edit the html if I want to change the content of default pages. Well, for $99, I think it's worth my money, can't compare to $499 software, but it's got all the bells and whistles I need to build a decent dating website. Do I recommend datingsitebuilder? Yes, but it's not for everyone, only those who know a little bit of html, css, and php/mysql. I think the hosted service might be easier to work with especially for internet dummies, but I have not tried that. Good luck!

Thought I wanna give a bit more details about datingsitebuilder. I am on the Small Business solution.

Price: I think price is very fair. For only $49.95 a month, I have almost all features that I need to run a (working) dating website.

Templates: They have plenty of templates (I think it's over 50, but I didn't count), I don't care about the number, once I decided to use one, I will stick to it. There's some learning curve customizing the template, but once you figured out, it's fairly easy to move things around.

Support: Support is provided by tickets only. Sometimes the response is very fast, sometimes it's slow. I guess it depends on the load and type of issues.

Features: Some features are very basic (or must have) for a dating site. Some unique features include video or webcam chat, instant messaging, and profile sharing which they will allow your members to search through all members even from other websites, which I thought it's cool.

Conclusion: Overall I think datingsitebuilder is not as bad as others have stated. It also depends on your "level of expectation". But for the price you pay a month, it's worth your money.
