We ordered a new riding jacket for my girlfriend. It arrived at our house sooner than expected. Thanks for the prompt service!
Brandon is always ready with the knowledge/information about the items I'm either researching or purchasing.
Mark called me when my order arrived at the store. Mark is a great asset to your company.
As usual Cycle Gear provides the tools to seek and destroy in the apocalyptic waste land that we call the United Disgrace.
I had a devil of a time trying to bolt 4 "fingers" to the back plate. What should have taken 5 minutes took 20. It would help if "small screw (A)" were maybe an eighth inch longer
Ordered tire on Monday had it in time to wrestle it on for Sunday ride.
Not a fan of online shopping and I'm glad that such shops exists. This is a one place for all your cycle needs. Just visit and spend time. You will understand how nice place it is.
Easy transactions in store, online orders take forever. Easy transactions in store online orders take forever!
Quick and easy. Especially when its shipped straight to your house.
The guys are super friendly and helpful, and very knowledgeable
I have purchased different products over the years at Cycle gear and like shopping there.
Cycle really is the only retail cycle gear store left. Everything is online, which is fine but it's nice to try stuff out first
Fantastic in store and online service. I would very much recommend cycle gear.
LS2 website said I was a medium (57.5mm). I tried to try on a medium in the store...it was ridiculously too small. Ordered the Large and it shipped in a couple of days and fit great.
I walked in before it got crowded so I could try on some helmets, and the staff came to give me advice and find the best-fitting option. Got their opinions on air-flow, noise reduction, and safety. Glad I went in person rather than just shop online,
Haven't had an opportunity to take the new helmet for a ride yet.
Alec at the CycleGear store in Orange, CT was a great person to work with. I was there to pick up an online order that I had shipped to the store. Alec was knowledgeable and helpful. In addition to the online order, I left with a helmet (Sedici) that I'm hoping will work out. Of the two items I was waiting for one was too large (small is out of stock currently), and the other, well that looks like it's going back also. It's a GIVI windscreen (Airflow 49). I read through the detailed instructions twice and then I read the sticker on the windshield. It specifically said that parking the bike where there is direct sunlight could negatively impact the windscreen for which GIVI would not be responsible.? I'm not planning on riding the bike only on cloudy days. Seems that something like that with a premium price should be able to handle any weather conditions. So, I'm not keeping that either. However, again, it was a pleasure to meet and work with Alec. Will continue to look through the CycleGear catalog for other alternatives.
The top case is solid and durable. Mounting bracket/plate was fairly easy to install on my KTM 1190R and fits well. The only issue I have is that the case only opens/unlocks with the key in place. Fairly inconvenient to always have to pull the key out of your pocket. It should close without the key, and only need the key when one wants to lock it. Other than that, a great value.
I buy my tire and other things from the Tacoma cycle gear and in the past they have always done my tire while I wait, but when I tried to warranty my rear tire I was told it would be 2 or 3 days before they could get to it. So now I will be going some where else
I have only tried one of the helmet liners. The Zan liner, it is not as good as the one I purchased from Cycle gear a few years ago. It doesn't fit as tight and therefore doesn't protect my ears when putting on my helmet. The helmet still rolls my ears with this new one, that doesn't happen with the original one I've had for a few years now. It's also hard to tell what the product is like from the website. The pictures aren't very detailed.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
