The staff at the store were great but my item took several days longer than expected. That might be chalked up to the shipping company, but in the end, that company was chosen by Cycle Gear. Improve your standard shipping practices and you'll see much better reviews in the long run.
The sales team was very knowledgeable about the purchasing process. The tires I ordered were not in stock, but they knew exactly how long it would take to receive them as well as how to make sure Spec 1 received the tires without me getting involved. Very quick and overall smooth process from ordering, receiving and getting a call from the tire team to install them.

Clear helmet visor broke on a recent road trip. Part was unavailable but I received an email when it was back in stock. I ordered it same day and it arrived as scheduled.
I went to Cyclegear to try on overpants, they didn't have the size I needed so I thought I would just order them online but the sales rep said that if they ordered them the store got credit. I let them place the order and said what size I needed but the rep put in the wrong order size. I had to purchase a second larger set so I could get what I needed in time because by the time I returned the originals and get the second order coming it would have been too late.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
