I'm so upset I used this service. I got charged a ton of money for very little service and poor communication. Very disappointed. I don't usually write reviews but I hope to save someone else the time any money that we wasted with this company.
My a/c company found rat poop while in my attic. Called 7-8 companies. Critter control was all over my problem. Had Aric out to look at house. Set up a program. The crews have been very nice and professional. Davon, Diego, Fred communicate with me daily. They remove dead rats every other day. Devon did a great job of sealing off access holes. Even found things sales didn't. No extra charges. I've been in the service business for 40 years. Never worked with such a nice group of pros. Rats gone.
Had a rat problem at my Duplex. They were great at upselling. The monthly maintenance was all but non existent. My tenant stated that they saw the truck parked, but many times the worker never got out and just drove off. Had to replace a dryer due to rats making a nest and chewing up the wires. This access should have been blocked and if the worker did his / her job. Tried calling to cancel, no one could "find my account", yet still being billed. Cancelled my Credit Card, to get someone to call. Finally after 7 months, they are now interested, saying I owe a balance. I'll pay the balance once I get reimbursed my $800 for a new dryer. Very unprofessional. Wouldn't even give them 1 star, but have to, to write this review.
Joe Sheftel really helped a nurse in Colorado today! He worked to remove a dead skunk from my basement under odd circumstances. I thought Orkin was to blame but they were not. Joe remained patient and worked with both Orkin and his boss to make it better than right. Thank you
We started with gophers two years ago and contacted Critter Control a few months after our DIY solutions weren't working. They came out and used a carbon monoxide machine ($1,000) to snuff them out. We thought it worked, but they wanted to come out every month to put down bait ($95/month!) but we did it because we were desperate. I had planted many tulip bulbs and found out that was one of their food sources. After several months, there was no activity, so I thought we were good. Then, late last year, they came again, and one tech said he found 64 NEW holes! I was shocked! I have not seen anything, but I let them put more bait down. But the place they put it down had hundreds of tulip bulbs, so I started to become skeptical because they had never gone to that area before. The next month, another tech came out and said he only saw 13 new holes, so something didn't feel right. Now, it's mid-March, and every tulip bulb is coming up in those two gardens, but not one mound has been seen. So, I canceled my monthly service (I paid $1600 in total and still got charged that month) and got some solar sonar stakes to put in my gardens to keep them away. It worked! It cost me about $100 for 8 stakes, and if I had done that at first, I would have saved thousands. I am disappointed in the service and will never use them again!
Was very helpful in giving us a refund. Thank you. Some places don't make good on their promises, but they definitely did.
Horrible service for the money you pay. Received no feedback, never saw any of the technicians. When I asked for proof they were there, finally received an invoice that looked like it was cut and pasted, all said the same thing.
Had a salesman come and give me a spiel and it made sense. Too spent 4000. 00 to get them to do what they promised. It didn't work. They've come out twice and are now not answering my calls or emails. So much for a lifetime transferable guarantee.
I called to get a quote for the removal of one dead rabbit in my yard. They would not provide an estimate or typical pricing for single animal removal over the phone. So, I scheduled for them to come out, inspect the situation, and provide a quote. He quoted $589 for the removal of one dead rabbit. When I inquired about the rationale for such a high price, his response was not satisfactory and did not make sense. I would never use this company because of this experience, I feel insulted.
I purchased several of the Critter Control service programs for over $2,500.00 including wildlife trapping. What Critter Control does not disclose upon execution of the pest control contract is that the wildlife trapping for $599.00 only includes ONE trapping. It's unclear whether an animal must be caught for the one trap to be exhausted. I had one trap set at my house for a possum or similar animal and, after that; every animal that has started to burrow under at the footing of my house is not covered will cost another $599.00 to trap. This is absurdly ridiculous and unquestionably overpriced. $599.00 per trapping is unconscionable and downright highway robbery. I called and spoke to a customer service representative and was advised that the prices are the prices; that Critter Control is corporate, and that speaking to a supervisor or a manager would be of no help. Critter Control would rather lose my business for a lifetime than to provide competent and diligent customer service. How shameful!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I hired them years ago and bought a very expensive lifetime warranty on my house. They remediated my issue, sold me a life time warranty that states if I ever have critters inside the house again the will remediate them and reseal any entry point. THIS IS A LIE! They wont come back out and take care of my property even though I have a contract in writing. They use scare tactics to sell you on the large deals that cost thousands of dollars. Please listen to me and stay away. Call any other company but Critter Control
Management is very shady and likes to talk in circles without answering actual questions asked. Very high priced for the scope of work and though technicians are very nice they seem to be in the same boat as the management when it comes to answering questions. I wouldn't recommend critter control to anyone as there are many small local businesses that I would rather support and at least have a chance to build a relationship with.
If you use this company, be sure to read the service agreement very carefully. You will be billed for every critter they trap, whether or not it's one you wanted removed. We asked to have a groundhog removed. After capturing numerous other animals (raccoons, possums), we are in for several hundred dollars, but have had no luck catching a groundhog. We're cutting our losses and giving up.
Call back in a day --means 1 week. And after several messages and phone calls they finally call you back. In the meantime, you catch 1 squirrel in your own trap that the salesperson said would never happen. When the service person arrives he does not know what he is there for or what the last person did while they were there. After they finished you have to point out the hole they were covering up is twice as big as it was before they started. But they did not notice. Would not use again or recommend.
I've had a hole in my ceiling for 5 days, and Critter Control is too busy to seal it up. They've been to my house, seen the hole, promised to seal it, but now, nothing. I've called them, been put on hold, promised to call back,,, nothing.
They did not finish the job while I had paid them in full. After initial service for bee removal I found that I still had bees in my attic. So I called them again but they never returned my call. I will never recommend them to anybody.
They came out and told us what it would cost us $844. Then they came out and put the bat traps and said they would be out in two weeks to take down the traps. Two weeks came and and they didn't show up or call. We had to call three times and get upset with them before they would even come out. They finally came out and finished the job and after to paying three different times, which is so stupid! We ended up paying $933.00. So much for $844
I'm so sorry you have had this kind of experience! Was this is regards to the Seattle office? If so please call us at 206.431.6833 for assistance to make this right. If it is not the right office, please let us know and we can point you in the right direction to get you help. Thank you.
Very very poor customer service
Charging for work after cancelation of services
Selective memory on phone calls and emails to cancel services and Customer Service reps only track notes that favor their companies side when on phone calls
I would never recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy!
We have removed them from of preferred service supplier list of our HOA
All supervisors argue with you none stop, instead of trying to work to a solution!
Very very poor!
When I called they said they couldn't come to inspect for 3 days... when they did come they were unprepared.
They scheduled to come back on one date to complete the job then called and rescheduled... when I called them on the scheduled date I was informed that it had been rescheduled again!
Once they did come and set the baits and a trap there was a critter caught the second day.
I called to have them come to remove the trapped animal and reset the trap (3 days ago)... I haven't heard from them yet.
Very expensive and very unprofessional. Save your money and look elsewhere.
They do work but most don't last past 6 months. That's why they only have a 30 day return policy. Buyer beware

Thanks so much for the awesome review, however I'm afraid your praise has not reached the proper Critter Control office! This page reflects to the Critter Control of Seattle office and it looks like you're in Colorado. Please let us know if we can help in any way!
