My account was closed while disputing a transaction that left me In negative. I called credit karma and was told to speak with company that claims I owe a balance. I later had no access to the app. I call CK back and I'm told to delete the app and add it back and it should clear the glitch. A rebate check was sent to them. I learned it through a notification but not having access to the account. I call them and asked about money. They said they'd send it to me after they take their money off top. I disputed that and they use the same scripted line. They will send it to a specialist. An email was sent asking for I. D and a full utility bill in order to receive my money. The email was so tiny no one could understand it. I'm still waiting and it's been a month and I'm getting the run arounds. This isn't legal. They are refusing to mail me money that should have went back because it's a closed account!
Credit karma closed my account after 6 years cause it took the government to long too put the rest of my taxes in my account they closed my account of a -.02 balance now im forced to find another place to do my taxes
I worked with an investment company for almost 8 months and they have bankrupted me. I needed a few weeks and a lot of research to get some of my money back. I do not recommend you to deal with them, or you will have a lot of troubles. They have a very good strategy to take money from you. Please be careful. The only way I was able to get back most of what I had lost was after I reached out to a recovery agency {jimfundsrecovery At consultant Dot com} Great experience.
Credit karma will lower your scores by not posting positive payments and leaving disputes on your file. Your score will be lowered so you can get a Credit Builder Money Account from Credit Karma which is a Green Dot Visa.My score I built over 5 years only too have it F'd up by Credit Karma! And who opened a account for me in 2019 I opened it 2022 August. I have the statements waiting on a call
I was commenting on Facebook to a comment on the elections.the site froze up and after that my credit karma unloaded my credit score, my bank, offers they recommended and gave out my address etc. i couldn't close it out or remove it. Very scary experience
Karma uses a combination score that is consistently 50 to 70 points below the actual scores reported by TU, EXP, and EQ. Karm reports my score as "poor" (606). I have 8 open accounts, never a late payment, one bankruptcy (dismissed, no discharge) that is 91/2 years old. Creditors offering free credit scores average around 680-690. It's low because my usage is high on several accounts (90%). Better for you to use a real FICO, not their FAKO.
Since signing up for the free site, creditkarma.com, I have been deluged with daily offers from companies who know exactly what my loan balances are and offering debt consolidation. I have not requested this service and I did not give creditkarma pemission to to put my personal debt information to the public. I have tried to "unsubscribe" to creditkarma but continue to get daily emails from them. When trying to get "support" I just get a message that the support team is "busy".
I had a name change and they wouldn't allow me to change my name on the account even with legal documented proof. I then asked to delete my account then, however, they did not but instead fill my inbox with their spam emails! I asked again and again and they don't even answer anymore. It's super unprofessional I am close to just deleting that email.
Credit karma is ridiculous you cannot get through they do not help you or all you get is will send you an email which you never get they lock your accounts for higher approval review and then you never hear nothing back and then you're waiting and waiting to find out how to get your funds or your money back
Soon after I joined, i started getting all kinds of sales and marketing calls. Even worse, i started being harassed from a shady collection agency saying I owed them for bounced checks from over 20 years ago. They called from morning to night and threatened me with lawsuits and garnishmebt. It was ridiculois. The scores credit karma provide aren't accurate. Not worth the trouble at all. They don't charge consumers, so they make their money through ads and mostly, by selling your personal information.
I don't intend to write an epistle here but I'm most grateful that I met this expert. I was skeptical at first because of my past experiences with some scammers posing to be a credit repair specialist but I decided to give it a try. They are professionals, transparent and they always kept me updated on the process, I was shocked when they asked me to check my credit score again. My score was raised from 506 to 785. Bankruptcy, eviction, credit card loan were all cleared within 12days. Reach out to them if you're in need of the same service: (BoostMyCredit at FastService dot Com).
It's okay when you are first building credit. But once you get up into a high good or excellent rating be careful. I have a card on here with a balance that I paid off and closed out 3 years ago. Also I worked very hard disbuting 2 bogus medical bills(yes it can happen), and when they came off, not a budge in my score. Maybey it's because because it's medical, I don't know. Do NOT go by these scores or any the info in them to purchase a car or DEFINITELY not a mortgage because if it's wrong, BAM... you are stuck with a hard inquiry.
Two months in a row, CK dropped my Equifax score. 1st... 121 2nd 54... For paying my balance dowN to ZERO. Called Equifax both times and, while they couldn't tell me my score... they assured me the numbers were inaccurate and not to worry about CK's reporting.
I forgot my password, so I tried to reset it. But, they never sent the instructions to my email... After trying multiple times. So I tried making a new account, but it wouldn't let me do it using the same email. In stead it sent me back to reset my password AGAIN! And again it didn't work.
So then I tried to contact them... Put in all the information, and explained the situation. But after I finished... the submit button didn't work!
This site is annoying, and doesn't work! Especially if you have a problem! I'll never use it again!
Credit Karma recommended Springlight Financial to me. I had the honor of getting assisted by Rachel. Ms. Rachel was calm, assuring, kind and knowledgeable. She nurtured me through the whole process. I had a problem getting my documents uploading and she stuck by me step by step until the completion of the problem. She assured me that I was a part of the Springlight Financial Family.
Thanks again Credit Karma for putting me with the right lender. They have helped me to bring up my credit score from 420 to the 600's, and have intervened for me.
I had issues with the NYS tax return. The software forced me to take a college tuition credit, rather than allowing me a college tuition deduction - which was better for me. I sent several inquiries and received emails saying they were working on it, but they never got back to me after two weeks! They have no telephone number which is infuriating. I ended up doing the state return myself and sending it in- I wish I had just done it myself to begin with. I thought the federal return was OK, BUT then realized that the software had put my NY state solar panel carryover credit onto my federal return rather than the state return, so I have to file an amended 2016 federal return! I am very sorry that I used this service.
Credit Karma is ok if your watching your credit report, comparing credit cards. The scores are based on the Vantage Score model and not the Fico model. Not every bodies scores are the same, but my Fico score and my Vantage Score are about 10pts apart. They tell you to have a low utilization, but when you do your credit score goes down on their site, but your fico score doesn't budge when the two models are compared. Credit Karma is free and make money off of you by selling you loans and credit cards with a high interest rate! The people are really rude in the community, they give advice that would affect your score and possibly your life.
Good Luck!
I had two cards that was closed in 2017 and I had no knowledge of those being open until 2019 when I filed for a dispute. This year, I offered to pay those debts with the debt collectors and they refused to accept my payment without a guarantee of a credit score increase. However, I reached out to a credit expert to see if they could help. They started and finished repairing my credit in 3 weeks and my score was boosted to 794 across all credit bureaus. I love this site, it is not a ripoff or a scam, they will actually give you a free credit score. They also provide you with other scores based on different matrixes such as Advantage score, etc. It's free and you can update your score as much as you like. I assume they make their money on advertising and referrals.
