Since signing up for the free site, creditkarma.com, I have been deluged with daily offers from companies who know exactly what my loan balances are and offering debt consolidation. I have not requested this service and I did not give creditkarma pemission to to put my personal debt information to the public. I have tried to "unsubscribe" to creditkarma but continue to get daily emails from them. When trying to get "support" I just get a message that the support team is "busy".

I have paid a membership for Pogo for about 10 years. Got message
"accounts.ea.com redirected you too many times". Definitely not worth the money!

This is a lousy site and is not worth the money. I joined in Dec and paid for 6 months and am sorry I did. No matter how many times I go into my profile to indicate what match I would like - the matches are NOTHING like what I asked for. You have the option of choosing what race you'd like and smoking or non-smoking, marital status and age among other things - and these are the 3 items they get wrong consistently. I ask for a 60-70 year old white male, divorced or widowed, non-smoker, and what do I get. Not white - "legally separated" which is just crap, smoker and 54 years old? Don't waste your money on this site. You have a better chance of meeting someone on a bus!

Unless you are prepared to lose money, and bids - don't waste your time here. The bid package to start will cost you 60cents each - but they are on sale practically every week for as low as 15 cents each. If you buy at full price and complain, they will give you free bids to compensate. At first I "won" a couple of $10 gift cards, so I thought this is great - and I saw all the ads which said people had won high dollar items for just a little bit - but you have to remember that the more expensive items have people bidding on them which can go for hours and hours - and into the next day. For example - if you want to bid on a Garmin which is valued at $123 - each bid you place costs you whatever you had paid for it - say you have $50 worth of bids you will try to get it with - people in the "room" with you will sit and wait until you are out of bids and they will will start to bid - and on it goes. The item can be purchased for whatever Deal Dash values it at - $123 for the Garmin for example - and when you lose your bids you can Buy It Now for that price -you have about a week to do this - and then you get your bids back. This is fine if it is an item you don't mind paying for - but it is a round robin - you never win anything big - you either lose your bids or you buy it. I have ended up buying several items because it was either that or lose a lot of bids. Yet you see on their site constantly that people are winning high ticket items for practically nothing - if these are real people - good for them. I don't think they are. I think you are bidding against robots a lot of the time. Also in every room there are always several "people" who have written up a little something which Deal Dash asks you to do - and it will be a challenge - "I'm in it to win it" - "I will bid until I run out of bids" - or "This is a no-win situation - prepare to buy it" - a lot of negative stuff. If you are smart - watch some of the auctions. Figure up what things are going for - for example an item that is worth $1,000 can have so many bids in (and you can only bid until the item gets to $5.00 worth of bids (but remember this is counted as 500 bids - so it is really $300). There was a camera on auction valued at $1,000 and it was "won" for a total of $218.41 - but remember - this translates to $13,104.60 if the bids were bought at 60 cents each - and even if they were bought for say 17cents each - it would still be $3,712.97 in Deal Dash's pocket - and if you "win" you have to pay that $218.41 PLUS whatever bids you bid for it - so translation - it costs you $$$ - they make $$$$ and there will probably be people who will "buy it now" because they have bid so much.
I have seen things go for the equivalent of $12,000. Now sometimes they have auctions where you don't pay the winning price - say on holidays or whatever - and so it only cost you what your bids cost - but watch out - that's when everybody else is bidding. You can set a Bid Buddy to bid a certain amount for you - say if it's an auction you're not around for - or you don't want to sit there and watch every second for 8 hours - HOWEVER, you will be amazed how quickly your bids go through while you are bidding against a couple of other "people" who are doing the same thing - and then when you and they run out - the ones who have been sitting there waiting - will pounce on it. I have about 300 bids left and I will use on on something I am prepared to buy - that is what I have been doing - bidding on gift cards that I know I can use and would buy anyway. But trust me, everybody wants the Amazon gift cards - sometimes the $100 or $200 gift cards can go for the equivalent of $1,000. Watch and learn. You may be luckier than I am - I hope so! And I firmly believe that when you first sign up - you do win something... like I won a couple of $10 gift cards - but that's when the luck runs out. Good luck and be savvy!

Hi Barbara, there are over 1,000 auction winners on the site everyday. As you know we can not guarantee everyone would win an auction which is why there is the Buy it Now and get your bids back free option. We recommend people shop on our site in this way! Bid on items you would like to have and try to get a great deal. If you don't win, Buy it Now at normal retail price and get back all the bids used in the auction to try another day for something else. All bidders are real people like you just shopping to win a great deal and have fun at the same time. Just check our Facebook page of the thousands of people who have submitted photos showcasing the items they have won.

Many people try and calculate the math and point out how much money the company makes however as you referred to, bids are always on sale, there are many free bids to be earned and all bids are returned to the bidders who use the Buy it Now. Of course we are a business and we make money in order to exist. If we did not make money we would not be able to employ good people and provide people with a fun place to shop.

I'm sure it must be frustrating not to win more auctions. If you'd like to talk on the phone about bidding strategies and tips I'd be more than happy to try and help you. Hopefully you're experience will improve and you'll consider rating us better. Sincerely, Dave
