It has taken me 5 months and a Small Claims Court order to get my money back and a further month to get my court costs back following a complete stressful fiasco with this company. I actually feel sorry for the people working there that must be told to continuosly tell lies, I cannot believe this companies problem is disorganisation. They let me down three times with delivery and even accused me of changing a delivery date they were given plenty of warning with the dates we did agree. Dont order from them it just is not worth it.

UPDATE ON THIS REVIEW. AFTER A TWITTER AND FACEBOOK CAMPAIGN I RECEIVED A REFUND IN ONE DAY!

I have posted this review on another site CorbanDirect/DirectBedroom Are a terrible company that constantly cheat their unwitting customers. I ordered a bed on 19 September 2014. It was to be delivered the following week. The bed did not turn up. No notification from the company. I rang them and they said next week, again no delivery, and then again Then they said it was out of stock. I canceled as it had not been delivered by 9 October 2014. I was told that my refund would take 3-5 days. It has still not been refunded by 3 March 2015! I have made many phone calls and sent many emails, each time they say my refund is coming in a few days.

M last two communications were with Andrew Wheeler, Customer Services Manager, who in his last email on 6 February 2015 said "Our accounts team have confirmed that your refund has been issued and should be crediting shortly. This should take between 2-3 business days to credit your account. If there are any further issues please let me know and I will do everything I can to resolve any issues for you." As before there has been no refund, and no reply to my latest email to Mr Wheeler.

The way this company and its affiliate Direct Bedrooms act is appalling! They are taking money for goods they never deliver, then when canceled don't refund the purchasers money. This seems like fraud to me. It is taking money under false pretenses. Follow me on *******@PHenrypierre and re-tweet mine and others.

After ordering a bed last October, having two delivery dates missed (one they didn't tell me about I had to phone to find out), the third I checked early just to find that "they were no longer working with that company and had to cancel it"). It took another month before I managed to get some kind of refund... but here's the rub: the original order was £X, they said they'd give a 20% discount on the missed first delivery, making it £Y - only they took the full £X from my account and the eventual refund was for £Y. Chased them several times to be told "it's being done this week" to the point I wrote to their directors recorded delivery.

Now the post office said it could not be delivered - to their REGISTERED ADDRESS!

Something very awry with this company.

It would appear that Corban Direct have a track record of receiving orders, allowing a choice of delivery days, customers sitting waiting for delivery, customers calling to see where it is to be told it is out of stock so they cancelled your order but did not notify you but they have taken payment. When you speak to them the girls and very friendly say they will deal with it straight away but never do. I am now starting a journey to get my money back for goods not received that many have already started with what would appear to be a dreadful company.

Corban Direct have disgustingly bad ethics and business sense. Ps till no refund three months down the line, nearly four. They have lied repeatedly, delivered incomplete orders and delivered broken orders. SO MANY REVIEWS THAT ARE BAD. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Please - you will possibly have fraud committed against you and almost certainly will be lied to. They have so many excuses and reasons up their sleeves... none of which are true. Apparently refund system has been down for three months! Haha. Since our refund was due... oh but in that time they have refunded part of our money? Funny that. STEER CLEAR. Review will probably be deleted, but please let's stand together. Go on Twitter and Facebook and don't let people buy from them. There could be people a lot worse off than me who cannot afford to go without the money being returned.

I ordered 2 children's beanbags and did not even receive a confirmation letter and heard nothing despite my money coming next day after ordering. I phoned at 9 in the morning after 2weeks and was told I would get a call back at end of day I heard nothing so phoned at 4.30 to be told someone was going to call at 4.50pm no one called. Next day I called and was told my order may come next week. As by then I had searched the internet and seen so many bad reviews I said I wanted a refund and was reassured it would be done straight away. That was 2weeks ago and I have heard nothing. Has to be one of the worst run business ever and intend to go solicited if I don't hear anything as this company is stealing from people July - just an update I never received my refund and six mths later have given up

Absolutely disgusting service.
Lied to from start to finish.
Ordered item for friends anniversary and promised delivery on a certain date.
Item did not arrive and when I contacted Corban they informed that there was a delivery error an gave another delivery date.
Item still did not arrive and after several more attempts I requested a refund and promised refund did not happen.
Have chased payment up but now do not get a response.
I regard this as fraudulent trading.
CorbanDrect make people very wary of internet trading.
They should be closed down to protect customers

AVOID
June 18, 2014

AVOID - possible FRAUD - ordered a bed frame in january 2014. Was advised it was out of stock so cancelled my order. And it is now june 2014 and i have STILL not received my refund. They keep promising they will do it, but never do. Have to seek legal advise now.

Dreadful! Ordered two beds in January; the afternoon (4.30pm) before they were due to be delivered I was told they were out of stock. So I cancelled the order and I am still waiting a refund of my money in spite of having been assured on 3 occasions that I would receive it immediately. Don't have anything to do with them. P Wilson

Another one for the common theme of shody goods, poor delivery and collection. Wasted a total of 3 days leave on non appearance of goods and then when I had to send the faulty goods back, yet again the courier never turned up.
Never again, avoid avoid avoid at all costs.

Ordered a couple of sofas, delivery to be 6-8 weeks. After 8 weeks, I contacted them to ask when I could expect delivery, only to be told that they couldn't deliver at all and they'd have to cancel the order!
Not only was I disappointed that the order couldn't be fulfilled, but I had to wait 8 weeks and instigate my own query before I knew what was going on. This is unacceptable.
I'm now waiting for my refund - if it's not forthcoming, I shall definitely be taking them to court...
My advice, stay well clear of this (at best) incompetent company!

NIL STARS, NONE, NOUGHT, ZILCH, ZERO, NOT ANY, NO POINTS!

Ordered a wooden bedframe back in early November 2013; (In stock next day delivery) latter is a joke! Two failed delivery appointments sees bed-frame arrive about 3 weeks later; badly damaged, wrapped in flimsy cardboard as excuse for packaging.

As well as being damaged bed-frame was very poor quality anyway; so sent it back; with 3rd attempt successful, on their part to pick it up. I had to leave bed outside as was fed up with staying around, on their whim, to receive carrier visits.

Suffice it to say we are now near the end of January 2014, 15 emails down the line and still no refund. (£176.00) return e-mails to mine, from Corban direct, apologise and say 'I will pass this on to our a/c dept. straight away'; what crap!

AVOID THIS BUNCH OF COWBOYS ~ CORBAN DIRECT; AT ALL COST.

Did a deal with Dreams re bedframe; there I could see what I was spending my hard earned money on. Probably best to be able to examine a bed and mattress before purchase anyway?

The rest of reviewers and anyone who falls foul of this wretched company has my empathy. I.

Wouldn't touch this Company with a barge pole! Ordered a bed giving 10 days notice for a delivery date. Date arrived with no contact or sign of the bed. After telephoning the Company I was informed that the item wasn't put on the van for delivery. Made arrangements for the bed to be delivered two days later. A confirmation email was promised. No email and after telephoning again was told that they couldn't deliver the bed on the day agreed. I said I wished to cancel my order and be issued with a refund. An email authorising the refund arrived before I had even finished my telephone conversation with Customer Services! If only they were as quick in their delivery. Will definitely not use again and would not recommend.

Corban Direct are a scam. Don't use them. I ordered a mattress from them at the beginning of January. Not only did I not receive the item after several planned deliveries where I waited all day, they said would definitely be arriving. They then went on to send me a delivery confirmation email and asked for my feedback via the supposed 3rd party company eKomi. Looking at the eKomi site for Corban Direct it is clear that they vet the reviews as my 1* review was not included also there is no other low reviews despite the rest of the internet being littered with bad reviews for them. Following that I called the costumer care team who promised a refund would be sent last week, I asked if they could provide an email to confirm what they had promised me and they refused saying they didn't have the facilities to do that! I am noting the lack of comments on this page and fully expect this will be deleted too. To Corban not only do you owe me for the days of lost earnings waiting for your delivery but also for the un delivered order - *******. This is your last chance to resolve this before I take legal action.

FANTASTIC PRICES

FANTASTIC PRICES. I was so pleased to find a shop where I could afford the sofa bed I have been searching for. They had the limelight triton sofa bed in beige as I wanted with free next day delivery, I chose to have it a day later. It is a decent sofa bed and once it was in it was easy to put up, the feet are In a hidden compartment meaning it al came in one big box. I was kept updated with texts telling me when it would arrive and who would deliver it. I was also emailed tracking information which allowed my partner to follow the consignment. I only spoke to the staff on the phone once but I must say they seemed to know what they were doing and the lady was very friendly. Overall I am happy to give five stars and happy to consider returning. THANK YOU!

I ordered the Julian Bowen combination wardrobe and was impressed with the quality of the product and speed of delivery. I was kept updated about when my wardrobe would be received which was very helpful. My query to customer services was dealt with promptly and politely and I would use this company again.

In a word 'Shocking' Ordered a bed on the 6th January.(in stock available for next day delivery) and requested a delivery of the 20th to coincide with a new mattress being delivered (Dreams - with them taking away my old bed and mattress) Had a call on the friday. Before delivery scheduled for monday stating the bed was now out of stock. Effectively selling it on. Unable to rebook my dreams delivery due to timescale. We are now sleeping on the floor!... on my new mattress minus the bed! Promised delivery for the 24th... no emails or calls. Getting a little worried. So I rang to ask for a tracking number to be told there was a 'problem' with the delivery and would now be delivered on the 27th. Did not reply to 2 x email complaints. Was promised on live chat (when I was able to eventually 'connect' that someone would address my complaints only to be fobbed off with a generic apology. Have now managed to speak to a ''supervisor?' and have agreed to compensate me. Albeit pitifully. Due to 'the good price I paid for the bed' Take heed. Avoid at all costs... customer services lacking, unprofessional and very very poor communication.
