Cooper was marginal, however, after 30 minutes of speaking with a psychologist, they determined that I was a danger to myself and phoned the police to have my weapons taken from me. I am 72 years old and have been in possession of one of those weapons for more than 20 years. If I was going to harm myself, I would have done it by now. They are punishing me because I would not take their pharmaceutical meds. Are they getting their extra income from pharmaceutical companies?I am going to contact the TV news to expose them.
I was waiting on my grandmother today for a procedure and I went to use the bathroom near Starbucks! Well I walked out was completely disgusting blood on the floor of the handicap stall, middle stall had pee everywhere and first stall had not been flushed or was backed up so I walked out aftwr taking a picture of the blood on the floor. I spoke to a security guard who said she had called multiple times about the issue
The ER in this hospital is a three ring circus with a bunch of clowns. I thought COUGHING UP BLOOD was an emergency but at Cooper NOTHING is an emergency so you will wait 3-4 hours(for a room/ bed) or be dead on the waiting room floor. Bugs flying around in November in the waiting room, a drunk man doing everything from using the toilet with the door open then later undressing in the waiting room(he even had a suitcase). This has happened 3 times and all 3 visits were horrible! How in the world is this considered the best hospital in the area?!?! STOP worrying about hiring friends and family and start reading resumes! Then maybe patients will get quality care. Being admitted is even worse... now it's 2-3 days wait for a bed or room

I was at Cooper hospital in October 2022. I went there for breathing problems. I was seen by Dr. Racheal Jennings and her Resident Doctors. Tara and Christina. I had to get scoped. The resident Doctor (Tara) did the procedure. It was very painful. Dr. Rachel, ordered her to go so far up my nose that I gagged. This was purposely done out of retaliation. I can't believe that, these Doctors are behaving in this manner. I can't help but wonder how many other people they've hurt.
Dear Jacqueline, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your concerns. Our Patient Relations team would like to speak with you to learn more about your experience. I have been seeing a Cooper primary care physician for over 15 years and I have been watching the office decline in its ability to handle patients. I am routinely on hold for 25-30 minutes to schedule appointments. If I want to do anything else, like find out when I can pick up a report or a letter I'm on hold over an hour before the automated system disconnects me. You might think the use of the MYCOOPER app would ease the communication issues but instead it compounds them. The doctors offices are slow to respond if they respond at all. I love my doctors but I really despise how Cooper has connected them into a relationship with every other Cooper facility because Cooper sucks
The aggressive security guard told us to go to another hospital, because our visitor passes were not visible. I was amazed at such despicable behavior. We weren't shopping for shoes. Our loved one is sick at this hospital, how can we just go to another one?
In June of 2023 I was notified of a refund due me from an over bill from 2021. Credit was never cut and 4 or 5 phone called later and a couple of months later the refund on MyCooper portal disappeared, and a new refund showed up on Aug1. Waited until the month was over and started calling again, was told multiple stories of how they would look into it and of course never had a return call. One girl even went so far as to tell me the credit card company would not allow them to do a credit to the card, although all the information was confirmed it was correct, another girl said if it wasn't addressed by the end of business that day she would make sure a check was sent out that week. NOTHING ever moves forward and I have yet to see a credit to my card nor a check. Every time I call we have to start at the beginning and it ends up at the same point. It's all BS with their billing dept. NEVER pay up front prior to insurance submitted, you will never see your money again.
Dear Frank, thank you for sharing your concern. Our Patient Relations team would appreciate the opportunity to assist you. If you would be willing to talk with them, please email us at socialmedia@cooperhealth.edu with your full name and a phone number where they can reach you. If you would prefer to call them directly, their number is 856-342-2432. Thank you.
It's impossible to see a Dr when needed in due time. Also horrible communicating w the central number system to get the appt in the 1st place. My appts were made at wrong Dr office 2xs now n I was very concerned w a lump. Something has change here.
Dealing with Cooper University healthcare is an outstanding experience. Beginning with the Navigators, the Patient Services Representatives, the Nursing staff to the Physician, it is a well organized, cordial, caring approach to EXCELLENT patient care. Everyone is focused on the patient in a methodical, warm and concerned manner. They provide reminders, lab and test results and have an easy to use patient portal. My appointments are with a primary, an endocrinologist, a gastroenterologist, a nephrologist, and an anesthesiologist/pain management physician. They and their teams have been conscientious, empathetic and provide patient education for anyone to comprehend. As a previous Clinician, my standards are very high and they have performed exemplary. Obviously these are more complicated times and issues can occur but they are positively addressed and resolved quickly. The patient and their needs are foremost at Cooper. Strongly recommend Cooper for great healthcare!
Monica Atkinson is the worst doctor ever, she ignored me for a week knowing I was without my thyroid medication and refused to fill it or contact me. I called every day for over a week and no response. This isn't the first time either. He is cold, arrogant and has no bedside manners. I will never recommend anyone to see her ever. She should be ashamed of herself.
Dear Rachel,
I'm so sorry to hear that your experience with Dr. Atkinson did not meet your expectations. Our Patient Relations team would like to speak with you to learn more about your experience. Could you please respond via direct message with your full name, date of birth so they can look up your records, and a phone number and best time to reach you? If you prefer to call Patient Relations yourself, their number is 856-342-2432. Thank you.
The phone system is deplorable. Besides exorbitant wait times, you simply can not get in touch with a doctor's office directly.
Getting medical records is like climbing Kilimanjaro.
It is a shame, the nursing and medical care is pretty good but I will never recommend anyone go there due to the communication system.
Who has time to sit on hold for 30 plus minutes every time!
They have some very poor doctors and many practices are poorly managed. They tell you to call patient relations about your problems but they are absolutely no help. Just a big waste of time and money dealing with this place.
I had a hysterectomy on 4/12/21 and stayed till 4/17/21. I was in room 969. I had the best, listening, caring and fun nurses. To my favorites, Thank you shea, wendy, Lesley and caitlin! You guys were right there when I rang for help. You guys made my visit so great! You all kept me comfortable, laughing and in a good mood.
Had hip surgery on May 22,2023. I did not have 1 problem! The staff was awesome! The nurses and doctors were fantastic. Friendly and professional. I will recommend Cooper to anyone who asked!
Twice now my bill has been screwed up. They are trying to collect more than insurance says they should be. First time 1 hour on hold and had talked to a person who saw the screw up and said he fixed it. Second appt was just last month, same screw up, and I just spent 90 minutes on hold to be sent to a "help desk" that could be no help other than taking my name and number. This is ridiculous, I am not the one screwing up and maybe should get some compensation for my wasted time. So now I wait to see if somebody actually calls me. The entire call in system is a cluster... wait on hold for anything. Gotta love waiting on hold for 30 minutes to get an appointment when sick. Been to 4 Drs this year and this is the only one that can't seem to figure out the insurance processing. The only reason I gave the stars I did was because I really like my Dr and wish he would go elsewhere.

I have been a patient at Cooper for over 20 years. Until recently I would get to speak with someone to make an appointment within about 5 minutes. During the last few months there has been a system wide unacceptable time before anyone answers... internal medicine, pulmonology, infectious diseases... all had me on hold for over 30 minutes every time I tried to reach them. I am close to switching hospitals for my care. I have never complained about Cooper care before this.
I worked here and Its the absolute worst place to work. The supervisors in a call center have no education past high school, and are incredibly unprofessional. One supervisor was reported three times on sexual harassment and still has a job. Another supervisor got in trouble by doctors and the docs wanted her fired yet she was hidden by another super and she kept her job. Another supervisors daughter works there, she was fired for smoking pot twice and somehow got her job back... another supervisor said she wouldn't hire a man for any position she oversees... the HR team is horrifically unprofessional and completely incompetent. If you want to advance and go to another department good luck! They keep you where u are with no pay increase. They will tell you different. I can go on and on but will stop. It's an awful place to be. Warned!
You may have a day of relief after your injection but that will disappear after the time
They call you from your injection. And you go back to feeling like you did before the
Injection and when you call them to discuss they will say you may need another
Injection before you are able to feel better. Don't believe the hype! Another bill
Is coming your way. I am sure like others feel that they are getting the run around
And not getting the care they were assured from the beginning. You're not! After 3 epidural injections and no script for physical therapy when asked for one, that they do
Not want you to return to normal but to their surgeons for further evaluation.
These comments may seem drastic and scary but very true of the experience I have
Had with these physicians. Neither Voorhees or Camden will make your troubles
Go away. I hope this comment made by me will help someone else who is in pain
And looking for help.

Tks
They deserve no stars. I sent in a check for a partial payment. They deposited the check in the amount that was owed on the account. Resulting in an extra 300 taken out of my account. I called them and was told they would investigate and refund money in 4 to 6 weeks. Now going to file a complaint with my bank.
