Worse ER experience ever. For a time they could not locate my mother who has advanced Alzheimer's. Then attempted to transport her to wrong address. When finally returned was still bloodied and in need of clean up. Many times calls to find out information were disconnected. Some one as compromised as this should have been allowed a person to come in with the patient irregardless of Covid. How can care be given when she can not speak for herself. A scared, anxious, confused, and irrational woman was alone for over 12 hours. It is a disgrace.
Had an nuclear stress test done on July 1,2021 and as of July 12, I still hadn't been informed! I went onto their site and even there it wasn't posted. Worse patient service I've seen to date and I'm 65!

I visited again at the new facility in Turnersville and so I chatted with a friend and one of the employees and from what I was hearing this person discussed is that even though they enjoy working there it's been a horrible, hostile work environment, no one is able to discussion with the OM ( office manager) that if an employee is doing something that they no is not acceptable to the Cooper Health standards the employee stated that nothing will be corrected, lateness, on cellphones, extended lunch breaks, non work related conversations as I stated before I am a senior person and the conversations that I have heard is very unpleasant and unprofessional to have. I hope that something or someone comes to this office and sees and hears what is occurring at that location
I went to see a doctor about two months ago who prescribed an MRI. Couldn't get an appointment for two months. As it turns out, the day I was supposed to go there was a snowstorm and, since I', a senior citizen, I called to reschedule. Well that will take another two or three months. I told her to forget it and that I would find another doctor.
I just want to thank Cooper for saving my life. In February 2021 I was running 104-105 fevers hard time breathing. I did get tested at a local urgent care and I was tested positive for covid. After weeks of fever continuing to elevate and hard time breathing my husband called 911 and I was taken to Springfield hospital in Delaware county (this is where I live) after being in the er for 10 minutes, the Doctor said there is nothing they can do and sent me home. No test were performed at all. No inhaler, nothing. Instead I was giving a script for lorazepam. I get home, fever went to 105. My husband took me to Cooper, in Er I received multiple tests including a CT SCAN. This test shows both my lungs were full of Covid-pneumonia. I received oxygen, Iv antibiotics and was admitted for a week. If it wasn't for Cooper, I would not be here. Thanks you Cooper
Dear Lisa, thank you so much for taking to time to let us know about your experience. I'm glad we were able to help you. All best wishes for continued good health.
Well, after I complained that my son is not getting appt, they called us and gave us appointment with in 48 hours. Doctor has a lot of patient and spend a lots of time with my son.

Twice now my bill has been screwed up. They are trying to collect more than insurance says they should be. First time 1 hour on hold and had talked to a person who saw the screw up and said he fixed it. Second appt was just last month, same screw up, and I just spent 90 minutes on hold to be sent to a "help desk" that could be no help other than taking my name and number. This is ridiculous, I am not the one screwing up and maybe should get some compensation for my wasted time. So now I wait to see if somebody actually calls me. The entire call in system is a cluster... wait on hold for anything. Gotta love waiting on hold for 30 minutes to get an appointment when sick. Been to 4 Drs this year and this is the only one that can't seem to figure out the insurance processing. The only reason I gave the stars I did was because I really like my Dr and wish he would go elsewhere.
Dear Scott,

Thank you.
I have been a patient at Cooper for over 20 years. Until recently I would get to speak with someone to make an appointment within about 5 minutes. During the last few months there has been a system wide unacceptable time before anyone answers... internal medicine, pulmonology, infectious diseases... all had me on hold for over 30 minutes every time I tried to reach them. I am close to switching hospitals for my care. I have never complained about Cooper care before this.
While visiting a family member over that past week in ICU. I kept noticing that not all staff are wearing their masks. A lot of the staff wore their mask as a chin guard.
I would not send anyone to Cooper Hospital for medical treatment. I am diabetic and need to have an early morning appointment for my condition. First thing they did was to change my surgery arrival time from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm leaving over 14 hours for not have anything to eat or drink at this time.
After I arrived and was prepared for surgery the time was now 4:30 pm. At that time they informed me that my operation time had changed to 6:00 pm. About 5 minutes later my surgery was cancelled telling me that one of the doctors (Dr. Bowen, Heart Surgeon) could not stay for my procedure. The hospital did not care that I was a diabetic, did not care I had to cancel a shoulder replacement that same day for my wife to schedule my critical operation. Did not care that I had to arrange a ride to the hospital and home for myself and my wife. Did not care that I had had to stop my blood thinners for AFib for 4 days putting me at risk for a stroke. And what makes it even worse is that nobody from the hospital even call me the next day to try to make it right. I was made to feel like I was just a piece of meat, just money in their bank account. They sent us home with a parking voucher to get our car out of the garage. My day ended with me going over 17 hours without having anything to eat or drink. Cooper Hospital tells you that " Cooper Cares " "Treatment First".
I am now making arrangements to go to University of Penn Hospital.
Respectfully,
Joe O
I can't figure out why this billing dept. Won't learn how to bill properly. Bill the VA not the Veteran! You will be paid by the VA. Medicare the rest
Cooper will rob you of your money! They will tell you they are pre certifying you for a procedure and then have no idea how to file a bill, followed by you receiving the entire bill. And when you call and email and mail them the proper paperwork, they will just ignore you and sit on it. And in the end you are responsible for the bill. Save your money and frustrations! This place is not worth it!
Made an appointment on 2/10/21 to see Dr. Freedland for foot pain. He came highly recommended by my PT. I took time off from work in the middle of the day to go to appointment and when I got there they told me all his morning appointments had been cancelled. However, no one notified me. I verified they had my correct cell phone number. No call or voicemail. They had 6 days from the day I made appointment to let me know. Extremely unprofessional. Apparently the call center and the office staff don't communicate. So in the future I won't be making an appointment through the call center and number two I won't be going back to Cooper Healthcare!
Dear Lisa, I'm very sorry to hear that your experience at Cooper did not meet your expectations, and I can understand your frustration. Our Patient Relations team would like to speak with you to learn more about your experience and to see how they can help. Could you please respond via direct message with your full name and date of birth so they can look up your records, and a phone number and best time to reach you? If you prefer to call Patient Relations yourself, their number is 856-342-2432. Thank you.
Cooper University Healthcare's priority is their students learning putting patients at risk. Providers do not ask if it's okay with the patient before sending some in in knowledgeable student to began your assessment. They don't remember and don't write down your chief complaints which result in a misdiagnoses. Then you have to wait for your doctor to come in several minutes later. Then when they come in they are teaching the student more than diagnosing the patient. It's nice to help people but patient care should come before teaching students. This double/triple your appointment time with long waits just to be seen by your real doctor. Cooper has set itself up for big time failure. This could only happen in Camden NJ and most certainly not in prestigious Cherry Hill East, Haddonfield or Moorestown. Cooper is playing with peoples lives and feel no remorse for using especially black and Hispanic patients as guinea pigs. Their new slogan is STUDENTS FIRST!
Dear Aru, we are very sorry to hear about your experience at Cooper, and that we did not meet your expectations for care. Our Patient Relations team would like the opportunity to speak with you to learn more about your visit and treatment. Would you be kind enough to email us at socialmedia@cooperhealth.edu with your name and date of birth, and a phone number where we can reach you? If you'd prefer to call Patient Relations directly to speak with a representative, their number is 856-342-2432. Thank you.
She couldn't even diagnosis my son who has obvious Schizophrenic symptoms. She refused to treat him. Unprecedented. She instead referred him somewhere else which is infeasible for my son to go. And she lied to him several times why she couldn't treat him or come to Copper for followup treatment. I was in the room and have a substantial background in psychology. She is an embarrassment to this hospital. But I guess Cooper is in the business to turn down business.
A 2 Billion Dollar Expansion...at the cost of who!?!? And on top of it they're bragging about it...am I missing something here!?!?
Am writing this review because I am appalled at how the guest services At Cooper Hospital treat outsiders especially people of Religious backgrounds Pastors, Chaplains, anyone with that has to do with Religion gets treated like crap yes I said it last time I checked we are all free. How dare these people not let The Chaplain that was to pray for my co-workers son before surgery this morning and the mom informed them yesterday that the Chaplain was coming this morning and still the Woman at the front took it upon her self to be RUDE and not let her go up even with the young men's father standing there she would not let the Chaplain up i am very very APPALLED at the way these that this HOSPITAL allows their employees treat people especially the Spiritual Ones that are called by the patients or their family and they get treated this way wow this Hospital may have a reputation of begin a good hospital but not in GOOD IN CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Had extreme pain in thigh and went by ambulance to Cooper. All attendants were very nice and accommodating. They did X-Rays and Ultrasound of leg. Found no blood clots or any broken bones. Still in excruciating pain. NEVER got to see attending doctor who's name was Nyce! He didn't feel MRI was warranted so sent me home with crutches which I was unable to use because I couldn't stand upright without pain. And prescribed a strong Advil Pill. I even ASKED for an MRI and they said Nyce didn't see fit to do it. Hope no one else gets him as a doctor in the Emergency Room! He didn't even have the decency to come and see me in person. He sent his assistant! I'll NOT be going to Cooper Hospital should I EVER need care again. Oh, and I'm 73 years old and this was my FIRST TIME EVER going to a hospital. I don't take any medications and have not had any surgeries so I would think the care would have been a little better then what I received. That doctor needs to find another profession!
