So I paid $5.74 shipping for a free item. Nowhere did I see anything about signing up for a monthly subscription. When I called the number that showed up on my credit card statement was when I found out about this bit of trickery they were using to dun my credit card. If you want to make sure you don't get charged call this number, *******989, and inform the person who answers that you no longer want to be a part of this and to cancel your subscription. This is the only way you will get through to them since they cannot give you a direct contact number for this company.
Same scam SOOOOO many others fell victim to. Fill out survey for a free item, only have to pay shipping 5.95. Then 3 days later get a 67.95 charge from same company Top Consumer Direct Saving Store. Never authorized for a subscription on anything. Nor is there a reference to anything other than the free item I am paying shipping on. Then when I contact my bank about fraud, they say nothing they can do because I singed up for the service? NO I DID NOT. I read everything on each page, especially the fine print. Nothing there. As one can see, in all of the screenshots provided. THAT in no case is there ANY notification of us joining their subscription. There is no informed consent anywhere to be found on any transaction page. Yet our banks will not help? Because "WE" agreed to the fee? NO WE DID NOT.
This company was advertising I had the opportunity do complete a survey and pay the shipping of 6.95 and I receive a tent that they were offering.
Never received anything and then they tried to charge my card $67 and that was the declined but then they're able to charge $39.99 for something I'm not sure what that was for.
Had to cancel the card and now I'm trying to get my money back from this consumer direct savings store which is just a fraud.
Avoid this scam like the plague. Impossible to understand their fast talking 3rd party on phone. This company lures unsuspecting folks to sign up for a "membership " and they bill Mon holy for no services at all.
Well, they got me. Thought I was gettin free cookware-just paying shipping. Nope, not only did the get me for almost $8 for that, but come to find out I got charged an additional $68 for some b.s. Membership/subscription that I saw nothing about! Stupid me…just goes to reinforce that if it's too good to be true, it usually is.
Saw an ad for Senior Citizens to save money. One was to get Free Omaha Steaks Kit. Just pay Shipping & Handling. They had a few sets you could get. I used my Master Card and after I submitted it. It said Thank You! Good Luck! You paid $7.95. Then it said who was behind this in small letters with a phone number. I called it immediately. Held on for 35 minutes. Finally, the 3rd Party Rep said I can cancel your subscription but can't give you your $5.95 back! I said I didn't subscribe & I didn't buy into a drawing to win the Omaha Steaks. The reference number for canceling the subscription was KC021. I noticed someone else complaining got the same reference number. Such a scam on senior citizens. I like to think I would know a scam but this one got me. Thank goodness I cancelled my MC right away and complained fraudulent company scamming on seniors.
Beware if it's too good to be true. Yes it certainly is! I hope this helps people not to be victims of scammers.
Paid $5.95 for shipping, supposed to be for a Macbook from Costco. After reading the reviews here, I called my bank and they reissued a new debit card and deactivated the old card so no further charges can be made. I have to call back in 2 days and they will dispute the charge and refund me the $5.95. I'm glad I read these reviews. I'm usually good about avoiding scams.
If this happens to you, call your bank right away because they will continue to make higher and higher debits from your card.
SCAM! I took a survey and was told I had won a Stanley tool set. I paid the "shipping charge", no tools. Upon follow up with "customer service" I was told that was the fee for a raffle, and that the charge was for the tool was $68. At that point I also had to replace my card with another number. These folks are nothing but scammers.
I "won" a Coleman inflatable hot tub for $5.99 shipping. Two days later I was charged 71.97 and this month 78.21. When I tried to find "global streatwear" online I can't. I went to bank to dispute charges and was given a phone number. After 30 min on hold I talked with someone who explained that I paid a trial fee and then a monthly charge for "consumer direct savings store". I told her I paid the $5.99 for the hot tub and never agreed to further charges. I read the fine print on everything online. She said I was sent $125 gift card to use at their store. I told her I never received anything. She told me to check my junk mail and again nothing there. She cancelled the account with the same code everyone else on BBB was given (KC021). In the meantime I have disputed the charges with my bank and cancelled the card.
I want this taken of my card NOW. I NEVER authorized this transaction. Please email or call to discuss this problem. I don't heard from u, you will hear from me again and again. Or I will contact my lawyer. Pam Tufts *******@comcast.net
Link from Gun-Videos email received. FYI The address in the email does not exist on Google.
They got by advertising a free tactical backpack, just pay shipping- $5.74, then 4 days later ran another charge through for $67.32, come to find out that's their scam, you are unwillingly signed up for a club membership. Beware, do not get scammed, the charge goes thru as - PremiumMusic and Premium Electronic Gad
Then they email a "coupon" but the link does not work. It takes you to "topcomsumerdeals.com" and all shows is the word "hello".
Why don't the credit card companies do something and block them?
Email address that sent coupon *******@nextlevelpurchase.com <*******@nextlevelpurchase.com>
Ordered a "free" item, with $6 S&H. I swear there was no obvious statement saying I was signing up for a "membership". I'm old enough to be aware of scams like this, but I got fooled. So far, they've charged $68 twice.
How can I prove that there was no fine-print that I missed? I can't! Card cancelled, will be calling to cancel them as well.
They sign you up for membership to which you never applied for. Some unheard company stealing money out of your bank account. Erroneous charges that will occur every month if you don't stop them. DO NOT fill out any survey to receive any item for shipping charge only. IT'S NOTHING BUT A SCAM AND A WAY TO STEAL MONEY FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT
Do not click on anything with these people, they are total SCAM ARTIST. They make you believe you won something and that all you have to do is pay shipping
I fell for it unfortunately and now they have used my bank information and claim I signed up for some bull $#*! membership. Stay away don't fall for it like I did.
Bought a handheld Vac for 7.95 shipping only. 10 days later my card was charged 68.49. Took 3 days to get someone on the phone. They would not reverse charges for some membership fee that I did not agree to. It is a scam and they will burn in HELL!
I want everybody to know that if you order anything from these people expect to be billed between $59.96 to $82.45 twice a month because they are scammers and there is no mention of any membership or anything of the sort on their site! I live on Social Security and learned after having $120.00 taken from my account in eight days total. And of course they say that you have to cancel and there's nothing you can do about getting your money back! Beware of ordering from these people!
I was charged $67.32 today on a credit card, and immediately called to report this. I have no idea who the heck this company is, but I know I'm filing a police report about them. Damn crooks. So much scam and dishonesty nowadays. It's terrible! Especially for people on limited income.
Avoid Consumer Direct Savings. Offered a free floor vacuum for $6 shipping charge. Was then billed $71.97 for membership fee. Membership presently being cancelled but no refund. Vacuum was a piece of junk that did not work. Shame on me here!
Signed up for a chance at an IPAD. Total scam. Instead of a charge for $5 for postage, I got charged $68 for a membership in something I did know anything about. So buyer beware!
They will sign you up for a subscription that you had no idea was part of the deal. You will be charged 82.45 and won't receive anything for it. When I called to ask what the 82.45 was for. They said I was supposed to receive a voucher for $125 to spend on their products. I was never sent any voucher. They basically stole my money. They send you in circles trying to get it resolved and basically tell you there's nothing they can do and you should read the fine print better. Save yourself the headache and your pocketbook. This company is a scam.
