This company came up on my credit card as Elegantglassglazeandpa? WHAT?!? I immediately called my cc company and disputed these charges...yes CHARGES they charged me a shipping fee of $5.82 on 12/20/23 and a charge of $89.95 on 12/23/23! I called the number they had on my statement ( I had already talked to BOA and disputed these charges) and they told me it was for a back massager. I recalled having to pay for shipping and handling for that item after I took a survey from one of my trusted sites (can't recall now) I told them I never received anything. And asked what was the $89.95 for? It was for a subscription I agreed to supposedly for a monthly charge of $89.95 to get between $100-$125 worth of free stuff monthly! BS I would never do that! And I read the fine print and uncheck boxes they check on your behalf. I asked for a tracking number, she gave it to me and said the Post Office had yet to receive the item. I said well then it hasn't shipped! Cancel it. She was "only a 3rd party answering service" and couldn't do anything. She couldn't even cancel my "subscription" which I had to do within 48 hours of agreeing to it on 12/18! She gave me their website swiftdealsdaily.com in order to contact them There was no phone # and even worse NO EMAIL ADDRESS TO CONTACT THEM! There was no way at all to contact them to get my money back, to cancel this BS subscription service etc! Thank goodness BOA cancelled my cc and put fraud alerts for these charges on my cc and took them off! I found in the bottom corner of a page the name ConsumerDirectSavings and it brought me here. I hope I can save someone the hassle and angst of trying to deal with yet another scam artist!

Ripped off again
November 1, 2023

On 10-31-23 I tried to use my Debit Card and it was declined. So on 11-1-23 I contacted my Debit Card issuer and inquired about why the card was declined. They informed me that the Debit card had been placed on hold due to what appeared to be fraudulent activity. The declined activity was for $68.49 to a company named Top Electrical. Upon checking the rest of the withdrawals it was discovered that there had been withdrawals of $68.49 on 4-3-23,5-1-23,7-14-23 and 8-14-23 by a company called HartHardware. I asked if there was contact information associated with this latest withdrawal attempt by Top Electrical. I was then given the phone number *******841. This number turns out to be for a Customer Support company. Upon contacting this number a lady informed me that I had signed up for a Stanley Tool Set, a $125 Gift Voucher and a subscription to Customer Direct Savings. She also stated that the $125 voucher had been sent to me. I then stated I had no memory or record of this correspondence. Upon this conversation I asked to be have this service cancelled. She then gave me a cancellation code of KC021. I do not remember signing up for any of this. I also obtained the number *******160 for the HartHardware company from the Debit Card issuer. Upon contacting this company I found out that it too is a Customer Support Company. The person at this company stated that I had already cancelled my subscription. Based on them having the same cancellation code of KC021, I then determined that the Top Electrical and HartHardware Companies must be one and the same. Same money amount and same cancellation code. There are several reviews on the web under *******@consumerdirectsavings.com that seem to follow the same pattern of signing people up for the subscription with the person not knowing that his is happening.

Tip for consumers:

Nothing at this time

Complete Scam
March 2, 2023

ComsumerDirectSavings.com website no longer exists. Consume Direct Savings is a shell company for other scammers. In my case it was Exceptional Electronics. They sell things like drones at ridiculously low prices then continue to charge your credit card for membership fees. When you report this to your bank for investigation another company, Celero Commerce responds that the charges are legitimate. This is a well sheltered scam hiding behind multiple facades. Your only hope for recourse is to report it to the FTC.

Tip for consumers:

Hidden fine print and confusing. text should be unlawful. I had no idea a membership which provides nothing was part of the deal.

Products used:

A cheap drone, $8.25. Fell apart after first attempt to use. They then started charging my credit card $67.32 per month.

The federal government has to put these guys out of business
December 8, 2022

My experience is similar to all the others. I opened an email offering a free reward from Target--where I do spend a good deal of money. I was taught never to turn down a bargain, alas, and I got the hand-held vacuum (a nice product!) for shipping costs only. ConsumerDirectSavings has gotten more sophisticated--it took them months to charge me and extra $39.32 or so, which was purportedly from a garden equipment shop in Tucson, Arizona, the other end of the country from where I live. My bank automatically blocked the transaction because it looked like fraud (and it WAS!) It wasn't until the next day that I could reach the number for ConsumerDirectServices and they told me I had signed up for a membership which was a lie. They described the Arizona garden shop as "one of our merchants." I am still being deluged with fake emails from them for Kohl's, Walmart, and others.

Tip for consumers:

Don't use it, it's a fraud/scam.

Total Deception
November 10, 2022

I was suckered into a "drawing" for a product through an e-mail. If I won I would then be entered into some kind of subscriber service which then charged me $68.89. I had NO IDEA this was going to happen! Must have been in the fine print somewhere. I was able after much trouble to get my "subscription" cancelled, not holding my breath, but apparently I am out the $68.89. Also am supposed to get a $200 "voucher" which has never shown up. Guess it is ultimately my fault for falling for the scam. Be Careful! Overall rating less than One. When the charge shows up it is listed under a company called RemarkableQualltyGadgets, whom when you call them have no record of you as a customer. They say they deal with many online retailers and this must have been made through a third party.

Never signed but charged $68.89 MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP FEES
September 30, 2022

On 9/22, I purchased from the internet a cigarette lighter for $7.95 from an unnamed company in North Huntington, PA. Sixteen days later, I got the savagely smashed box unusable to give as a present. My VISA was charged by an unknown to me, Fabulous Popular Apparel in Illinois. I called the company at (844 exchange) to ask for a new empty box. An additional charge of $69.89 was included for the MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP FEES unknown to me at CONSUMERDIRECTSAVINGS.com. Their site has common consumer goods; I can buy for HALF of their price in every store. I tried to explain to the clerk the absurdity of their setup and asked to cancel the unauthorized by me MONTHLY membership for $68.89; however, we couldn't very well understand each other English.
