I believe they are scammers. I ordered a "free" solar flashlight. I was only charged shipping. Unbeknownst to me I had enrolled into an automatic membership that charged $68.89 per month. I called and cancelled when I saw it appear on my statement. They said they could not credit my account but only give me a $125 coupon to use on their site. The email provided a link you are supposed to click on to take you to the site. There is a website below it for the site that cannot be reached. I don't dare click on the link for concern of what might happen. Furthermore, the email address the customer service rep said the original coupon was sent to was not in my inbox, spam, or deleted folders. Beware!
Did a survey paid 4.99 for shipping on a watch. Then they took 81.37 for?, but according to them it was in the fine print... wont refund my money... told them I need for baby formula & diapers. They don't care...Shameful...I will read fine print in future...questioning if it was even in fine print. Because I do read...
BEWARE this MEGA SCAM from Consumer Direct Savings (they use different names too)
Exactly like other complaints listed here, this unscrupulous disgusting company scammed my 87 year old relative with an offer of receiving a $350 item for a $5.99 sign up.
What they failed to mention was that her card would be charged for $67.54 AND $40 every SINGLE MONTH thereafter.
The poor lady did have her card charged for 5 months till I stepped in. The enslaved customer service department of the company offered a refund back for 3 months!
They said I had won a Walmart pallet. It was smaller. Supposedly once I paid shipping and handling cost of $7.95 it would be shipped in 5 business days. The ad was posted on Facebook. I read other happy reviews that said they received pallets with "fake "photos of their goods. I paid them off my Cashapp since it's not my main account. I read the email about $200 off coupon. My phone warned me their site was unsafe. Thank God. The pallet never showed 5 days later they tried billing my account $67.32 for an unknown charge I never agreed to. I reported them as Scammers and my card compromised. I sent the thieves a text asking them where was my pallet. Lesson learned I should have read reviews on them like I normally do. Beware of doing business online with 3rd party companies who try to align themselves with major retailers.Consumers Direct Savings are very unethical people.
I just got scammed by this so-called Consumer Direct Savings Store or the other named called Optimal Solutions. Stay away from these people they are not worth your time and money. If you see something online and the price is too good to be true stay away from it. They're all Scammers and Scums of the earth
These fraudulent companies posting their ad in Facebook posing as Gordon Ramsey and Martha Stewart offering expensive cookware for $6.95. I thought I was lucky to get Le Creuset cookware, but I got multiple charges under different company names. When I called, it was a 3rd party customer service saying I paid $6.95 to enter a sweepstakes for winning the cookware. Then another charge last month for $54.95 for ecommerce coupon/subscription. All these excuses to put my charge. As I asked them to reverse the charges, they came back after checking with the merchant to give 50% credit back. I then wanted to end the call and deal with the credit card company directly to dispute this charge. Then they came back agreed to give a full refund.
If it sounds too good to be true for a set of cookware for paying shipping, it is most likely to be a scam. Once they have your credit card number, they can start charging with various excuses in small amount under $100 that can easily to be overlooked. So be ware and check your statement monthly.
I found your ad on a site I use. It advertised hex clad cookware using Gordon Ramsey. I paid for the shipping. I did not want the fitness tracker. You glued that on to the cookware. That is illegal. It is also illegal to say people will receive the cookware. Found out today that my bank account was hit for the price of the cookware, but just to be put into a monthly drawing for it. That's illegal as well. Return my money by 06/09/2023
This company is a scam. Same thing. Say I won for $5.96. Next thing I know $67.43 out of my account and no prize. You can report this at reportfraud.ftc.gov. Send any information you have. So far I have for email
*******@trytopnotchdiscounts.com
She first said the company is Optimal Solutions in Orange County Fl. Their phone number *******123. Send any information you have. If you received a package send them the address. If they get enough information they might could shut this down. If you look at comments its been going on for a couple years!
I am so glad I found your site. I ordered a tactical sling bag from tacticaladay. My order went to consumer direct savings. Checked my account today and was charged $67.32 for a membership that I never ordered. Always a good idea to check the fine print. They sent a $200. Coupon that did not work. If I order from another company I will make sure that I don't have to go through this again. Thanks for your site. I appreciate it.
PLEASE AVOID THIS SITE! I came across an Instagram add for a free tactical backpack - just pay shipping. It was about $6 and I got my purchase a few days later. I check my credit card statement and see the $6 charge AND a $67 charge several days after. Strangely, it was listed as "New Universal Electronic" and NOT "Consumer Direct Savings", which confused me, and is a huge red flag. Anyhow, I did not buy anything else from this site so I don't know why I got charged $67. When I tried to visit the site to look into this issue, the site is gone. I look in my emails and clicked a link in the one email they sent me, and the link doesn't work. This site scams people and takes their site down before they can get caught. I had to call my credit card company to cancel my card in case they try to charge me again, and hopefully I can get the $67 charge reversed. Lesson learned! Don't fall for anything too good to be true.
This is a big scam. You order a $7.95 charge for shipping is charged, no info on delivery ect. Then a week later another charge of $56.95 is charged to your card.still waiting to get a hold of company to stop charges & remove card before credit card company can do anything! Don't fall for this bs!
I ordered knives for $7.95. They tried charging me $67.95 but luckily I always use a prepaid card for online purchases so they couldn't get the $67.95 because it was declined. Can anyone provide a phone number for this company please?
Tricked me into signing u, by saying I'm getting a free gift and just pay shipping. Next thing I know my credit card was charged for their membership ( I never heard of them). My credit card company told me who charged my account I called them and asked why did the charge my account. They canceled the membership that I did mot sign ip for, but did refund my money, I m working with my bank to get it back. BEWARE of survey
I purchased what I thought was a knife. After payments of $213.62 to my credit card I had to cancel my card to stop it from continuing. January 2023 I was charged $6.95 then February March and April $68.89 each month for Consumer Savings plan. Today I called them and they are telling me the $6.85 was for a chance to win a knife not to purchase it. And the $68.89 charges were for joining a savings plan. I can't see what I saved!
These people are scamming people this is fraud to consumers!
Just like the others who have posted in SiteJabber, I ordered a tiny hand held vacuum for $8.49. Four days later the company charged my card $49.97 and then two days later charged my card $68.49. I called them and they told me that when I ordered my vac, I had signed up for a subscription service, and there was noting they could do. My bank said they file a claim and that I would know within 30 days whether or not the bank would refund the $49.97 and the $68.49 that had been illegally charged to my card. The bank suggested that I cancel my card, and agreed to send me a new one. What a pain! Rich Redfern
The trouble with leaving a review on this company is that most people won't see it until after they've been scammed and are looking for it. I completed an online survey and gave my card information to pay shipping on a mini speaker in which I did receive for $6.95 but a couple days later I noticed a charge on my account for $76 so I called the phone number associated with the charge and they are a third party billing company (supposedly) and told me that I had agreed to a subscription with this company but they would be happy to cancel for me. Ha ha! So somewhere in that website is very small fine print and they are scamming people one at a time for however much they can get before you notice! No offer of a refund at all but they were so kindly (lol) to cancel for me so I wouldn't have any more recurring charges! I can't believe people are getting away with this stuff! It's no different than somebody breaking into your house and stealing what you have!
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM! I want everyone to know that these people are scammers. They posed as a Macy's seller and I purchased a ninja knife set for 3.95 plus S&H on the March 27th. 4 days later I was getting charges on my account for $67.32 that I did not authorize. I never received a confirmation number or email for the knife purchase. Thankfully I have fraud alert on my bank account where they blocked the transactions. I initiated a fraud claim with my bank for this company and hope they shut them down. Scamming people needs to stop NOW. If I could give zero stars I would, they don't deserve the 1 star I clicked.
An offer came through after I completed a survey for Costco that I thought was legit. Was I wrong! After I agreed to a bargain price for ear buds, more popups came asking me/suggesting/cajoling to buy more stuff. I cut it off, only to discover that this company charged my credit card over $80 for a MEMBERSHIP I never asked for. What type of crap is that? I've had two phone calls with them today, as well as with my credit card company (I've closed the account and thus have to wait 7 to 10 business days for a new card) and they're saying the only way they can complete the cancellation transaction is with a three-way-call that includes me, them and my credit card company. I will work on that tomorrow. Right now I'm just furious. I'm sure lots of people I getting scammed by this awful company.
Beware, I was offered a sweeper, only to pay shipping of 5.99. Much to my surprise they charged me $71.97 three days later! Then 10 days later charged 59.96, then 10 days later charged 59.78, then 3 days later charged 59.78,3days later charged 59.78! I read that they've done this to many! Shut them down!
I'm livid & I'm taking this further!
Bought tactical bag 7.99shipping then 2weeks after 67.99 credit card charged as majestic smart appliance call was on phone waiting 30min then got call back 2hours later talked to person said will cancel and refund will see.
