It all worked out, I was given a window and they arrived at the last day at the last minute but they did call. And communication was not a problem.
I didn't realize they sub out the contract so I was expecting a truck from the website collection
But again it all worked
In general i was very pleased with the product though I felt that customer care could have been a bit more proactive. It got very close to the pickup date and I felt like I should have been contacted sooner. That's all, really. In general I was very satisfied.

Everyone was very polite and helpful, from getting a quote and setting up the pickup and delivery. The team on the ground in California was amazing, taking the time to allow me to sort out what was going to Florida and what was staying behind, as well as moving boxes and furniture in and out of the storage facility. The team in Florida was just as great, setting up my bed and putting boxes and bins in the patio area. Thank you all!
I moved half way across the country. The guys showed up on time the day they were supposed to. I had already packed, so it was load and leave. There was a LOT of boxes, heavy boxes, furniture, some odds and ends (like garden tools and the rack for my car that I had removed to have a quieter drive, but everything was gotten, nothing left behind, and everything showed up at my new residence, nothing was missing. I was 1,000 lbs over what had been estimated, but I expected that. I was just glad it wasn't 2,000. The driver arrived at my new residence several days after I did (again, I expected that, they were clear about his routing, and stayed in communication with me throughout the trip). The driver and his support team were cheerful, hard-working, transparent, thorough, and accurate. Couldn't ask for anything more. I would use them again, for sure!

Two men packed and loaded the truck in less than four hours; Well padded and packed. The next day, they were there and unloaded the truck in less than two hours. Everything was moved with professional care and packing/unpacking.
Exceeded my expectations for a moving company!
Always easy to reach. They Called occasionally to make sure everything was on track. No problems at all. Only damage I had was a loose lampshade. Very reasonably priced. Picked up when they said it would be delivered when they said it would be.
The account manager made the process seamless for me. This was a move for work and the crew that did the move was awesome. On time and went above and beyond even when the move out was in the rain. Would totally use them again

Moving from another state and putting your things in storage is very stressful. The packing up crew up north was a nightmare. If i'd known I was getting a sub contractor and not the actual Colonial Van Lines truckers I'd probably cancelled. Up north the guys were arrogant and rough with our belongings. After 5 months in storage I wasn't sure that I'd get anything back in good shape. After having to change our plans and destination, the coordinator assigned to us was not very helpful, not answering emails or phone calls. I had to call the people that took my original order/ information and somehow we got delivery on the date we asked instead of the runaround that there was a 10 day window. We lucked out by getting delivery actually the day before we wanted. The crew they sent was 2 wonderful young men from another subcontractor " The Moving Squad" Tauris and Demetrius, two awesome guys! They were polite and proficient. We were so pleased with them. They are aces up in our book.

Very good experience with packing, unpacking and delivery. Friendly coordinador representative, packing and unpacking gentlemen's.
The only bad experience, the truck has a water leakage and my antique dresser was damaged, but I will use the service and recommended again.
This was our first time using a moving company and our first move in 43 years. Everybody was great from our initial contact to our direct contact throughout the move to the company that did the actual move. Due to the extensive contact, their encouragement to let them know if we added anything, etc., we were over- item from the estimate, 60 pounds over estimated, but we were under in the amount of packing required, so the cost was less than estimated. Despite a one week delay due to the biggest snowstorm in the northwest and southwest, we were very pleased. They could not control the weather. They contacted us several times to update us about the van's progress.

Our movers were very professional and courteous- the company kept in touch about delivery dates- the movers disassembled the beds and recliner chairs and then reassembled at our new residence- couldn't be more satisfied- the cost estimates were pretty spot on for moving our household contents

UPDATE: Donna from the resolutions department really went above and beyond to try and make things right after this review was posted; she was able to get us a small settlement on top of the insurance claim from CVL and for her efforts I definitely give 5 stars.
Word of advice to those moving cross-country: sell everything you possibly can, other than what will fit in a U-Haul that you drive yourself, and save the money to buy new furniture and things at the new place. We would have come out ahead of where we are. We were originally quoted about $10k for a 3 BR moving cross-country in June. When we came back with the correct box count, that jumped to $13k. Day of moving, it went up to $15k with all the "extras". They know you have no other choice at that point, they'll just keep adding fees. The workers/drivers themselves, I have no quarrel with, they were nice guys doing their jobs, but working with any moving company long distance is a bad idea. So now I'm in a new house, great, but with debt that will take years to pay off.

After 7/8 months I am not very happy with my move with CVL but I am happy that you are trying to help me and working on my behalf. So I would like to update my reviews to 5 Stars, but I want everyone to know that the 5 Stars is solely and specifically for the resolution department. They make you go through so much stuff to get any resolution.
All they do is lie to you. They gave me a window of July 1-8.I call them on Monday Jason told me that they are loading my stuff on the truck, so I'm think maybe my stuff will get there Friday or Saturday. Now they telling me my stuff want get delivered until 14th of July because they just loaded my stuff yesterday. I have kids with out a lot of their things. One of my kids have autism and he needs certain things to make him feel comfortable. They is poor service on their part. On top of that, I have been living in a hotel and paying for apartment that I can't live in until they bring me all my stuff.
So the owner of the company responded back to call this number, so I called the number spoke with someone then they going send me to voicemail. The company is a joke. Throw The Whole Company Away.

Answer: No success at all, disaster from the beginning. They were late, unprofessional, used hauls and not company trucks as shown on the website, no freight truck was used. Uhaul, peskne trucks. They stole a firearm, money, broke open boxes, broke television. Horrible service. Never use this company
