I was able to locate an often hard-to-find watch, from a reputable dealer with whom I had one of the smoothest retail transactions I ever had. Ordering and payment were exceptionally east and fast. I already have a wish list on the site and will absolutely consider using Chrono24 again.
Great experience! I was apprehensive about buying an expensive watch online but after my experience with Chrono24 my fears were put to rest. The whole process is very refined and seamless. It is clear that they have taken every action to ensure that the buyer is getting the product that they want in a timely fashion. Communication, payment and status updates are quick and timely. There was no time during the transaction that I was worried I would not get my watch, it was great. I highly recommend.
Dealer interactions seem to go quite well, but private sellers are hit-and-miss. Escrow is a good idea, but if a dealer has to wait to get a watch from the manufacturer your money is tied up immediately. If Chrono24 could move to a credit card "authorization" model that would be much preferred. I've ended up paying up front for watches that took many weeks to ship.

I ordered a 30 year old Omega from a professional dealer in Japan, and everything went very smoothly. Watch was in better condition than I expected, process and shipping was fast. No complaints.
If you spend any time on Chrono 24 then you are bound to find a watch that you like. And, if you return to the site almost daily to look at said watch then you will soon convince yourself that you must have that watch. Well, at least that's what happened to me...twice now. This last time however, the watch was half the planet away. Now thanks to the Chrono 24 Escrow account, my worries could be quelled. Chrono made the whole transaction seamless. The dealer reviews are a great tool for building confidence in who you may be dealing with and perhaps moving forward. Do your homework and use them. Thanks to the dealer reviews and the sense that Chrono would have my back, I decided to get that watch that I could no longer live without, it seemed. I'm sure that you know what I mean. I have purchased several watches using Chrono24 Concierge Service and all the transactions have gone smoothly! It is reassuring to know that the watches being sold on Chrono24 have been vetted for authenticity and that your purchase is protected as much as possible from misrepresentation. Their customer service people are responsive and will act on your behalf to make sure you are satisfied! Chrono24 is a great site to find the watch you want and not have to worry about what winds up at your door!
I had a number of issues with the site, trying to sell my watches, but latest problem is just buying a watch.
Made an offer to seller in Euros, was shown the price in USD, but at checkout, they are forcing me to pay in USD with additional 2.5% fee on top of charging 2% for AMEX, that charges me 0% for foreign exchange transactions.
Customer service is not helpful and multiple people are very deceiving.
Lucky for everyone there are plenty of other sites that do a better job providing Watch Marketplace

I recent purchased a Jaeger Le Coultre Reverso through a private seller on Chrono24. At first I was very reluctant but after a few emails with the buyer I went through with it. I am more than happy with the results especially since the seller had no reviews or ratings. I believe you need to do your homework and ask questions to feel it is what you want and whether legit. I would use Chrono24 again. The experience I had was great.
I had seen lots of ads for Chrono24 but dismissed it as a marketplace for popular trends. I mostly purchase from boutique outfits specializing in the kinds of watches I am interested in at that time. So I was pleasantly surprised when I found a rare piece only on Chrono24 and now use it as a reliable source to search for interesting pieces.
Chrono24 make it really easy to find and compare watches for sale. You can track prices of the watches on offer and receive emails if the price changes. Like eBay you can save your search and have the site email you when watches come on sale that match your requirements. Best of all is an escrow service whereby your money isn't passed to the vendor until you confirm that you have received your purchased watch. This keeps your money much safer than simply paying the seller and risking that they won't send the goods. Highly recommended.
With a fantastic choice of watches, this is a great place to find your next watch purchase. I was able to find the exact model much lower than list price. Communication with the seller was excellent and the watch was perfect when it arrived - brand new, complete with box, papers etc. The Chrono24 platform and escrow service gave me the confidence to pay over thousands to a seller I had never heard of and would have been wary of otherwise.
Chrono24 is an excellent service and completely trustworthy. I will continue to use them. However, as a buyer in the US, I was forced to make my purchase in US Dollars. Chrono 24 automatically converted the Euro price to USD. I would have saved several hundred dollars if I had been able to pay in Euros, as my bank offered me a much better exchange rate than Chrono24, and this was a very expensive watch. This additional cost was highly disappointing.
Chrono24 is designed for simple, routine transactions. It lacks flexibility and continuity. One one transaction I had to buy the watch three times to get the transaction executed. On another transaction they received payment and didn't know it. I bought four Rolex watches over a three month period. It became very confusing. On one watch they warned me that if I didn't pay within three days they were going to cancel the order even though they had the cash and it had been sitting in an escrow account for approximately two to three weeks. Many of the watches I buy range in price of $40,000 to $90,000. That's a lot of money to move around which seems to cause problems. It's too bad that that it has such a comprehensive collection on the front end with such mediocre performance on the back end.
Don't even try to do an international transaction unless you are fond of hidden fees, laughable questions on the customs form (yes, dear buyer, this is your responsibility) (sample question: What is the country of origin of the watch battery?), and customer "support" that is friendly, polite, but sadly, incompetent. At least the watch arrived without a smelly band, as did another customer's in a review. In fact, my watch arrived without a band at all, which was surprising since I received an email from the dealer stating he was fitting a leather band on the watch. A representative of the company indicated this was not intentional, but an unfortunate human error. That was a relief to hear. I can certainly understand that it sometimes takes a leap of faith to think a watch may need a band.

Also I spoke with them about the seller and they assured me that they have proved to be very trustworthy. The watch is beautiful and exactly as described.
