It went away because there are no more bargains. I noticed when there slogan changed to "and that", the prices were no longer a good deal. I paid $2.49 for a bag of Crackers Jack thinking that it was a good deal only to find out Walmart sells the exact same product for $1.88
Very disappointed with Christmas Tree Shops

Everything that made Christmas tree shops worth visiting has changed. Gone are the wonderful candies, unique foods and international foods, all the coffees. They are revamping each of their stores into some new, uninteresting low priced land fill crap. To me the store is now just another dollar store. I will never go back.

I've been a shopper of Christmas Tree Shops since I was a little kid. I shop there every holiday and just for fun. Always had great items and some surprise finds. I went there to stock up for an upcoming party only to be totally disappointed. No vases, no table cloths, no craft items. I've never in 30 years walked out with nothing. Needless to say it is the end of an era these new owners have no idea what they are doing. I'm sure our local Shrewsbury Christmas Tree shop will eventually be on the chopping block.

Looking for a cutting board a clerk named Brunielda was wearing a shirt Awesome she was walking through from her shift and I asked where they were she told she would look. I shopped checked out my other items with Joe who was outstanding friendly courteous and happy; as I was leaving I heard Brunielda asked if she saw a women with a penguin mask as I turned my head much to my surprise she had cutting board in hand. I could not believe it. She really did look and found me; way beyond the call of duty. I checked out with Joe again and he wrapped it up with such care. I told him to throw it in the same bag. Due to snow and glass board he would not think of doing that. What more can anyone ask for. These two fine workers made my day. We need more of them. Dedicated warm and outstanding Free lunch raise please don't loose them management

Scammers
November 4, 2015

I have found their email advertisements and flyers are bogus. They don't have the items advertised and cover themselves with small print about availability. Happened three times both on line and in the store where items weren't available and weren't expected to come in. Even same day the flyer is posted! Forget this place!

I bought several Christmas items from cts and they sent me a 50cent pair of sunglasses. I double checked the tracking no and its the same as my order. So sick of these china companies scamming people.

Don't care the new CTS in Holyoke. They should have kept The Christmas tree shops in the Holyoke mall. The autumn, Halloween vibe was my favorite thing walking into the store. The spooky decorations for Halloween were my kids favorite. Now it's just blah!

False Advertising

I was about to buy a chair (Faux Leather Accent Chair with Houndstooth Cushion), which according to the store it was on sale, instead of $199.00 it would be on sale for $149.00. However, the checkout end up as the chair is $199.00, since it has shipping + Delivery Subcharge + tax. Please don't waste your time with this store!

Rude overload employee

First let me say I love the Christmas Tree store "and that". Recently I was at the one in Rehoboth Beach, DE. I realized after she rung me up I remembered I had a $10 off coupon. I asked if it would be difficult to do and the employee "MORGYN" could not have been ruder as she jabbed her fingers into the register like she wanted to hurt it. I was furious but kept my cool as her nice Manager took over the transaction. MORGYN should Not be working with the public! Thank you to her Manager (I didn't catch her name).

I ordered a side table. I realized it was not what i wanted after ordering it so i called to get it sent back. They told me i had to wait for it to come to my house then send it back. It was a 60.00 table and when i went to ship it back they said it was going to be another 60.00 to ship it back. THEY DONT PAY FOR YOUR RETURN. Dont waste your time if you are hesitant on a product.

I cannot begin to express how disappointed I am with my first and only experience I have had regarding an order placed with Christmas Tree Shops.
Upon receipt of said order, I discovered that several items were damaged in shipment. I immediately called the business to report said damage. The individual I spoke with assured me that all damaged items would be replaced at no expense and I should expect to receive the replacement items within one week.
When no package arrived within the specified time frame, I called the business for a second time. I was told that a tracking number would be sent to me via email in regards to this replacement order. Instead, I received an email stating that the items were now out of stock and a credit would be issued.
I again called this business for an explanation and was told that, for some unknown, reason there had been a several day delay in placing the order for the replacements and in the ensuing time, all items were sold out. In order to rectify this incompetence, I was offered a 15% discount on my next order, or I also had the option of driving 2+ hours to my "local" store to see if they had the items in stock.
I did not accept either of these "generous" offers as I do not feel that either, in anyway shape or form either, begin to address my dissatisfaction with the handling of this entire experience.
