The Good
It may give you some answer support sometimes.

The Bad
Sh*t service that half the time provides outright wrong and/or no actual explanation of process.
Expensive service that charges a lot for what it is; more expensive than competitors.
Incompetent safeguard system that will almost 100% guarantee suspend your account under false allegations of being a 'shared account.' Complaints are disregarded and while you wait days for your account to be re-enabled, you won't get credited back for the days stolen.

Final verdict; Sh*t company. Avoid at all costs.

Although I have utilized chegg for a while now. I recently downloaded the app and it has messed everything up. I hate this product now and will be looking for another form of tutoring help. Only being able to switch between two devices has really crippled me. I can use my laptop and phone as needed but if I am at the library and want to use a computer for the printer I can only swap 1 a month? Well what if a student is at that computer... so annoying. CHEGG CHANGE YOUR POLICY YOUR YOUR REVENUE WILL GO DOWN.

I have cancelled their service several times over the last few years and they keep renewing and charging me. When you call expect them to ask for credit card information and argue with you if you refuse to give it as they say your account does not show up.

I had to get the subscription for one answer, and it was incorrect. I canceled my plan right away. Chegg denied my refund, so there goes $20 for nothing!

Worst website to order books from! Doesn't give an option for faster shipping! Customer service sucks and doesn't help you at all! One person told me an access code comes with the newer books so I had to order ANOTHER book just to come to find out that it doesn't come with an access code. I tried to cancel my order the guy told me I couldn't you have to cancel it in 30 minutes it definitely wasn't over 30 minutes. Your better off getting your books from the college then this website definitely not worth the headache.

I have cancelled my subscription last time as well. Still every moth you people charged me for no reason. Today I cancelled again. I need confirmation as my credit card is on your file. I don't like this process when someone ended your subscription then you chegg people who work on customer don't work on the process we as a student attempt

Would give it 0 star review if I could, you search up a question and it gives you a completely irrelevant solution that is incorrect and for a different topic. Also non-refundable absolute scam this site should be taken down... I am so disappointed not only will I fail my course but I also will lose some money to these $#*!tards

Chegg is AWFUL!

Chegg is TERRIBLE! It's 2022 and when you click for an answer you get someone's poorly written, hard to read photo of the homework paper they manually did the problem with. AWFUL!

Also, they send emails saying "click here to practice your probability skills". Then when I click the link a page comes up saying they have no content for this area.

DO NOT BUY THIS! I cancelled my subscription the day after I purchased it.

If I could only give this a 0.1, I would! So, basically, Chegg charged me without my knowledge! I tried to log in during the first week of my first subscription, but it said it would send me a code, but I never received it! So it appears that I never used it! So, how should I cancel my 2nd month subscription? $28 is a lot of money for a student like me! I tried contacting support, but they said they couldn't give me a refund because Chegg charges you every month unless you cancel it, which I don't know how to do if you won't let me log the $#*! in!? This is totally unjust!

CHEGG: I am not sure as these are answered by experts and unfortunately WE CAN NOT guarantee that the answers WILL always BE correct. But I can refund those three questions back for her, and she can try reposting those questions. The order is canceled, however you still can use the services until the end of the billing cycle. We can not refund the subscription unfortunately. Our terms of use does state that our SERVICES ARE NON REFUNDABLE and that we CAN NOT GUARENTEE THE ACCURACY.
ME: Why would my daughter want to risk her GPA any further using this site? Your services are not necessary if you cannot guarantee that what you are selling is worth while.

This website is a scam.
Once you pay, you will realize you just lost your money. In less than two hours, they post fake answers under your questions! People would be amazed at how fast they are. In reality, they are posting something completely irrelevant and random.

I purchased a used version of a book I need for class, I need a new version in order to have access to the ebook. Chegg offered no solution, even though the text book I need cost more. I chose Chegg over other retailers to purchase the book from because I incorrectly believed it was a reputable company that was worth spending money with. I was wrong I would understand if it was hours or the next day but it was not. After trying to follow their instructions posted online and it not working I then contacted support. At that point it had been an hour since I put in the order. They can't cancel it, they can't apply credit, I have to wait a week for the book then ship it back, then wait for a refund then get the more expensive version. All the time I can not participate in my class. It is hard enough being a student dealing with OUTDATED resources makes it even hard. Buy your books some where else!

Once you are done with your subscription they still charge you and then when you cal about it, they all of the sudden, can't find your account. They are not trust worthy and they steal your money. They also do not respond.

Sincerely disappointed

I have used chegg for over 3 years and never had any problem. Now for whatever reason anytime I use my account it gets flagged for suspicious activity by means of a shared account not once but twice in the middle of my exams. I reached out to the customer service help number and they could verify that my account was not shared and I had followed all the chegg guidelines. Despite this, there was "nothing they could do about my account" and that I would just have to wait 2 days. I've never been more disappointed in any other subscription like I have with chegg. I'm abiding by all the guidelines but yet I still am not able to use the account that I paid for. The customer service was horrible too, no one knew what they were talking about. All they do is read you the same list of chegg guidelines they send out when you contact customer service. I will never use chegg again after my last experience, it is not worth the money, time, and frustration. 0 stars

Last year in January 2021 I purchased a chegg subscription on my mom's card and canceled it in May when my semester was over. Because I knew that I canceled it I did not pay attention to it but then I recently noticed a chegg payment of $21.65 on my moms credit statement... it is August of 2022! Chegg was charging me every month since then for $21.65 without my consent. THEY ARE SCAMMERS! YOU CANNOT TAKE YOUR CARD PAYMENT OFF FROM THEIR RECORDS AND THEY WILL RENEW YOUR SUBSCRIPTION! I AM VERYY UPSETT! I HAVE BEEN CHARGED OVER $300 FOR SOMETHING I HAVE NOT USED SINCE THEN! This is not okay for students who go to college, we already have a lot that we pay for and not enough money as it is. Please do yourself a favor and NEVER purchase the subscription. I never knew that I would become a victim of something like this but it happens to all of us! It is very frustrating esspecially considering that I dont make much money as it is!

Bought a textbook in 01/2020 and just noticed that I have been being charged $16 per month on a credit card i never use that has automatic payments set up. Apparently this subscription started automatically (i did NOT enroll), however customer service said their policy was only to refund the past 90 days of charges and nothing further back. $512 dollars that Chegg has charged me for a subscription that I never used once (i don't even have an account) and did not know I had. Absolutely outrageous.

A site full of wrong answers

Most answers on the platform are wrong. Out of 10 questions I checked on the site, 8 were incorrect. You used to get correct answers or links in the comments, but they disabled that section. Can't wait to cancel my subscription as their business model does not care about clients getting correct answers.

PS: Marking an answer as incorrect doesn't trigger any response from the company eg they still deduct the question from your monthly quota
