Get this: We were told that for $14.95 per person we could pick our seats and that our baggage would be free. When we could not pick our seats from the on-line site, we called back and told "Charles". "Charles" said his supervisor would refund our $14.95 if we agreed to by travel insurance for $50 (Sweet guy!) but that "Steve" was wrong about the luggage and we would be charged. Oh and by the way. It took 24 hours before we could go on line and reserve the four scattered seats that were left. Their English is barely understandable.
Please listen to the negative reviews. I am HUGE on reciew, why I didn't look this up before? I honestly was too busy comparing pricing. I am not able to travel a month after I booked, 3 months before my trip. $2600 for two passengers on what was going to be a great trip. Sadly I can't travel due to medical reasons. The airlines say I should be able to cancel no problem, the company however said NON REFUNABLE. I was out on hold for an hour to hear this outcome. Looks like they made money off of me and I am so upset! They are a SCAM. They REALLY don't care to help or go out of the way for anything.
Rene, we do disclose that the tickets are non refundable in our terms and conditions as well as on your booking confirmation.Travel insurance was not purchased and in this case would of benefited you if canceling due to medical reasons. We bought 5 tickets to flight from New York to Moscow at the end of May 2016 on Transaero Airlines using Cheapoair website. Couple weeks later Transaero Airlines filed for bankruptcy and couple more weeks later in beginning of October it was announced the tickets for flight after December 15 2015, should be canceled and money should be returned to the customers. Today is December 10th, and we still did not have our money. When you called the service is terrible, you need to stay on line 20 min minimum for each transfer or they said this call is not transferable you need to hang up and dial again. One person told me that the money was already transferd to my account and I need to call my bank. Which was lie! Manager, Mrs. Nola, finally told me, that money should come soon, but she refused to tell me transaction date and number, she promised to send me email about this transaction, that money was send. I got an email, but it was not saying that money was send to my account. When I send an email to the billing department of Cheapoair about the situation, they send me back automativ email, that I need to call. Those people are liars, and they tought to lie to costomers. I think even now they did not transfer for me anything, they other trying to still my money or return it as later as possible. Never ever will use this site again!
If I could give negative stars, I would. You don't even deserve one star. We booked a flight for my daughter to come home for Christmas and had to change the incoming flight. After a $35 charge just to make the reservation, a $70 charge, there's also another $13 charge for who knows what. In the process of changing the incoming flight they also changed her outgoing flight from 7pm to 7 am on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas. When I called the guy had a nasty attitude, asking me "didn't you check the email" yeah but I assumed it was still 7 pm cause I didn't ask to change it. Now they're telling me it'll be a $200 fee to fix THEIR mistake! So he said he's sending an email to the guy who made the original change and he'll call me back to explain. I won't hold my breath, I'm pretty sure that call won't come. Your customer service is horrible, it's ridiculous that you change flights you weren't asked to change and then blame me for not reading my email more carefully

I booked 3 tickets through Saudi airlines. They charged in US Dollars (without any mention anywhere). I had to cancel one of the tickets as all of us could not get our holidays approved. They charged me 400 dollars for the refund out of 800 and i still havent recieved my money back after 4 weeks.
Also; they are of no help when it comes to clarification / questions. The itinerary had a 13 hours stay at Jeddah Airport which required Visa for the stay. Cheap-o-air informed about the visa requirement 2 days before the flight and the whole visa approval process for saudi takes 2 weeks minimum. When requested for help on this issue... they simply replied... contact your airline... they can only book a ticket for an airline but will not do anything for you to help.
I sent my daughter and wife on the trip hoping to have a great trip but it turned out to be a disaster for all of us.

CheapoAir attempted to charge me $450 in change fees that it was not permitted to charge. After complaining to the airline and many many calls, I was able to force Cheapoair to release my ticket so that I could obtain the REAL change fee from the airline. Be VERY careful if you change your flight. CheapoAir will fraudulently charge you fees it is not permitted by law to collect.
Horrible nightmare to try to deal with customer service who you can't understand. I have been scammed by them for over $600 in two different occasions. Please stay away from this company you will save more in the long run by booking elsewhere.
Never ever use this company, my daughter was left stranded 800 miles away over Thanksgiving holiday all because they would not fix her misspelled name. The air not even said she could fly they just have to change your name on the itinerary they wouldn't Do it. I found great deal. Cheapoair is really awesome. 2 months back, i had a trip to Singapore from New York and than i went to Nepal. After that i came back to New York. Travel agencies were asking for $1700 for whole trip but i found deal of $1000 in cheaoair. Thank you very much for saving my money and providing great service:-)

Firstly when booking nowhere does it give you an option for hold luggage. After contacting them they tell you to contact the airline directly. When you want to change the ticket they do not answer your email for 2 to 3days and from South Africa we are not able to contact the telephone number the give you. Eventually I bought new tickets as I was not able to get any satisfaction from customer service. The worst company I have ever dealt with when booking airline tickets and I travel regularly.

I had a recent flight and everything went very smoothly. I had a customer service representative call me recently to see how my trip was. I have never had such great service!
I tried to book my flight on their website and it kept telling me that the flights I chose were sold out. So, I gave up. Within two minutes, somebody called me from CheapOair, trying to find me another flight at the same price. So, I was on the phone with this agent for about 15-20 minutes while she found me another "comparable" flight. I didn't get the dates I wanted (two days shaved off my trip), and she quoted me about $100 more for the flight that what I'd been quoted on their website (around $1750). I agreed to the sale. ONLY AFTER I GOT MY BOOKING CONFIRMATION, did I realize that she charged me in US dollars, versus the Canadian dollar quote I was given online. That meant I ended up paying an extra $500 for my flight! SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM. I could have gotten the flight for about $300 less straight from the airline.
*****UPDATE: After contacting the business supervisor desk, AND the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU for NY, the company has agreed to refund the difference between the Canadian price and the US price, but please note that it will take up to 30 business days to get my money back. This took two weeks to get a full answer to my complaint.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!

George, the tickets are issued and email confirmation has been sent. Processing of the tickets can take alittle longer due to the carrier involved. But this is good to go!
