Hello everyone, just want to let you know what I had experienced with cheapOair few minutes ago I booked a flight and thought it was a round trip flight then I canceled the flight they charged me $50.00 not even five minutes after I booked. The customer service are not good. Never again

I do mistake on my reservation on line, when I finish, in the same minute I call to change the date or cancel.
My surprise was that they are charging U$ 150 for change of day and U$ 50 for cancellation for passenger and my family is 6 people, I am surprised that a company of so much name thus robs people by mistake or 1 minute after making the reservation

They promise you everything over the phone and on their website however don't make the misstate that I did. I was told that I could take 2 pieces of luggage each 23kg. Confirmed this with the person who took my call.
Got to the airport with my bags, it cost an additional $300AUDD for second bag.
I contacted Cheapo "no service" air from the airport to be told there was nothing they could do and to raise a complaint on line.
Also I was charged an international transaction fee of $30 as the billing is not completed in Australia.
It would have been more cost effective had I booked directly with the airline.
NEVER AGAIN.
I found a super low priced ticket and the website was very easy to navigate. They also called me to make sure I had a pleasant experience. Best customer service hands down! Why book anywhere else!

I booked a online tickets for my family for LAX to LAS. I selected my travel date a 7/5 however after confirming my booking the date has changed to 7/7. I immediately called to customer care and they changed the dates to 7/5. When I checked my credit card statement I noticed they charged USD 450 penalty for it. I called them again and ask them to cancel my booking however I still had to pay $200 as cancellation fee. This is really very bad. I will never use cheapoair again and would not recommend this site to anybody.

Rates were competive and good flights. I experience a delay on my return and called Cheapo Air and they indicated nothing they could do but charge $200 plus an additional $250 for the return leg. I went to expedia and spent $190.

I got to the airport and there were no outbound tickets. I had a confirmation number, but there were NO outbound tickets. I barely had time to buy new tickets. Of course, I had to buy round trip. But the return tix were on another airline. They're fighting me on this, but I have already told the credit card company to not pay. Cheapo caused this problem by not making sure I had my tickets. They should actually pay the difference between my original cost and the new tickets, but that would be too much to ask. Just save yourself the trouble and avoid these guys. Oh, and my customer service guy was "Oswald," but, let's be charitable, spoke good English but was clearly not in the United States. I'm still waiting for the transfer to his supervisor.

My travel with cheapoair a few weeks ago was comfortable. The boarding process ran smoothly and it wasn't chaotic.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
