Purchased an airline flight from this site and wanted to cancel but they to charged me a cancellation fee because I was out of the four hour window to cancel without fees, but tried to call an hour after booking and was waiting for 3 hours due to being on hold three separate times and ultimately the call would hang up and when I finally got a person to talk to he told me that I had to be charged a cancellation fee because of missing the 4-Hour window. I tried to explain to him what happened but they still would not budge. Even then I tried to speak to a manager and they had me waiting on the phone for another hour and ultimately hung up again.

I had a credit on file due to the pandemic. I got an email in February saying I have until the end of the month to use the credit. I scrambled to figure out restrictions and budget to then switch my flight. I was charged additional money to switch my flight even though, I only had to change it to due the pandemic and all flights had been cancelled during my original booking. I asked to take money out of the credit for those fees and I was not "allowed". This went on for some time, in total I paid an additional $150USD to change my flight from which I had credit of approx $650USD and I was told I was not using all of those funds but then somehow the remaining credit is gone? What a terrible experience during an already terrible time.

I had booked with cheapoair pre covid and had to cancel due to covid. When I was ready to book, i called cheapoair as i was 2 weeks past time i could book. They said i could still book. I had to pay extra fees to do that as they said it was re booking policy. Even with Covid cancellations. So 203$ later i was going on my trip. When we arrived at airport. Flight had been cancelled and they said it was due to my credit card not being verified and the other airline that i had booked on had made numerous attempts to contact them. It states in there email that for any reason there is a problem they would reach out to me and that did not happen! So, i had to pay for 2 tickets again as this was a connecting flight and if we wanted to go then we had to purchase. I waited a month for a response and all i got back was the $203 extra charges they charged me. This was after multiple attempts of calling and getting the run around. They just kept telling me it was my fault for not booking with in the year. Remind you covid was still going on at that time.
I will NEVER use this airline and i have been spreading the word. This is a 3rd party and you are not saving money in the long run. I hope this is not the only review you read and if you continue to read other reviews, you will see i am not the only one out of pocket!
I thought I was going to be able to select seats. It would be nice to do this in one swoop instead of having to go to the airline site to get it completed. Otherwise, the savings was awesome, and we are very happy with the price. Thank you.

I have been misinformed about your cancellation process which has cost me significantly more money to book a substitute flight. In addition I have spent many hours trying to apply my credit to a new flight because your agent did not follow-up on the cancellation as required. Now I am being charges $200 additional due to the agents mistake.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
