Ordered a Marin rift zone 2 with a discount including all duty and postage paid to California. I was worried about all the negative reviews but took a chance. Ordered June 27 and arrived July 5 via DHL (I also Tracked it the whole way). When it arrived I was extremely worried that they sent me the lower spec'd Marin Rift Zone 1 due to the box being labeled as such and not the Rift Zone 2. Opened it up and was extremely relived that they did in fact shipped
Me the correct bike and model. Bike was packed well with good protection. The bike shifts and operates well. Took a chance and either I got lucky or management has stepped it up.
Well the order went out quick as promised and also delivered to the tesco in town as promised. Only once i was there did i find out that actually they sent it with the wrong courier and that although i can see the parcel i cannot get it. After speaking to them for ages they said i need to download an app on my phone, then edit a document they have sent me declaring that i did not receive the item before they can refund me. That was the only option. They couldnt get the barcode or anything else. Just a refund when thats pointless if you can see your order but not get it. $#*!test service ever! Use amazon which have brilliant customer service and can ship to any address and offer to ship a new order before getting the old one back.
First try, because all the rave about this site. They sent the wrong item. Customer service ask for photo of the wrong item. You didnt scan the item when it left the warehouse? What kind of business do you run? ANd its Wiggle that filled the order. So who do I shop from? Wiggle or Chain. OH I KNOW, EBAY! Will not be buying from this again.
As. Both a brick and mortar retailer and online retailer I would like to make people aware of Why they can sell items cheaper than most. The are a UK company that is not governed by the same rules as US retailers. Most of the manufactures set what are known as minimum advertised price or MAP rules. What that means is no matter what I may want to sell an item for online I am restricted by the MAP rules. If I am caught selling below the MAP price set by the manufacturer they have the right to discontinue selling their products to me. Unfortunately companies based outside of the US are not governed by the same rules. Please think about this the next time you are thinking of making a purchase. Support US based business and keep America working.
Absolutely rubbish delivery time paid extra as needed tires as without can't ride bike, it basically took 3 days and order was delivered at 6 pm-7pm I mean what's the point riding done for the day. Chain reaction should look into there delivery time and look to get items sent ASAP as most of the time people ordering service parts and need them to make bike work
I recently order a pair of dhb Classic bib shorts from CRC using the manufacturers sizing chart in which I was on the small side of the scale. After receiving my item and trying them, I discovered that they were uncomfortably on the small size. After contacting CRC several times and always getting the same answer that they will except my return and offer a full refund, but at my cost of $20 to return ship them. They were not at all interested in resolving my issue without additional cost to me.
I had read all of these negative reviews but they had a great price on a frame I wanted so I tool a chance within 3 days the bike was in the United States and at my door in the original Felt packaging. Great price with great. I have been building the bike in my spare time and should be riding it next week. Thanks so much.
My order made it to Canada via Skynet who passed it off to UPS in Toronto. From there the bike parts disappeared. The service was terrible with Skynet acknowledging that the package was lost, tracking showing it as undelivered, and Chain Reaction insisting that the package had been delivered. After 4 months I finally received a full refund. I have been a loyal customer of Chain Reaction for years but Wiggle ownership is now destroying the business.
I ordered an Osprey child carrier from this company, which I must say is fantastic (the carrier, NOT the company). Unfortunately the carrier had a mirror missing which I reported to Chain Reaction Cycles within 2 days and heard nothing. Upon contacting them again to explain the missing part, I was told that I should have checked the order and told them within 3 days of receipt! Also in their email they said they are not sending any missing item to me, basically it is my problem that an order has missing parts. Their email also said they take product issues seriously...
All in all a contradictory dismissive email from 'customer service.'
Ordered two new Tyres / Tubes. They charged for and sent six of each leaving me overcharged by £120.00.
They refused to issue immediate refund leaving me £120.00 out of pocket due to their mistake.
They are happy to hold my money for their mistake and seem to have a 'tough' attitude in so much as I have to trust them to Issue refund but they wont trust the customer in so much as issuing a corrective refund in lieu of returned item. I know this is their policy but it seems very unfair when it is their mistake.
Paying more in brokerage, shipping and handling fees than should have been if shipped by post -- costs are 400% of the tool I ordered. There was no need to ship via SKYNET -- there has to be a kickback happening. If shipped by post no additional costs would have been incurred and the item would have gotten here faster!
Provided them with an address to Maine. They sent my package to Boston. Was in conversation with them, once I realized this and pointed it out they stopped responding to me. I will add photos to prove this later today.
They completely mis-sold an item, it was a Rockshox rear shock which was advertised as a Debonair one. Over 10 times this term was used in the description, spec and in the title. It wasn't at all, it was also taken from an OEM bike and was completely the wrong tune, this wasn't listed. Obviously this was a disappointment but mistakes happen. I contacted them regarding this and they didn't seem to care at all with just standard copy and paste replies. I was asked to return it back to them using an Asda service, the nearest of which is over 20 miles away, so a 40 mile round trip due to their own fault. All together their service is pretty hopeless and impersonal. I have wasted so much time with far too many emails back and forth and received nothing but a large inconvenience. This is a real shame because previously I remember good service and easy returns. One to avoid now. Still yet to receive a refund.
The customer service at CRC Belfast store is probably the best I've experienced. I had a paintwork issue, which was promptly dealt with by Jonathan and subsequently Stephen; an efficient, friendly and professional service.
Just received my nukeproof neutron Evo pedals and as soon as I opened the shipping box I saw the nukeproof box as old, the plastic bags with the pedals were open and old and there is mud caked in the pedals themselves. Looks like someone's tried to clean them. See pics
The stock range on this site is enormous, from cheap bits to top of the range gear.
I've ordered loads of items from the over the years and never had a problem with one, nor ever had to return anything. Items are well packaged and delivered on-time, and the delivery is free of items over £50.00.
Great company and great range of items.
If you order a bike it will
Come 2 weeks later. The warranty don't relply after 6 phone calls over two weeks. Probably the worst customer service and delivery. If you can order from another company do it
Bought a Nukeproof MTB from CR at a great price but was sent with the wrong thru axle and other extras. Sent with Rox Shox and Sram extras but the bike has Fox and Shimano kit on. That was resolved after a couple of weeks after a trip to my local bike shop to diagnose the fault but then on my first ride the fox fork collapsed and lost pressure. Had to send the fork back for a warranty claim which took around 4 weeks to resolve but in the end I am now very pleased with the bike and especially with the knock down price I paid for it on 24 months interest free credit.
I bought a Ragley bike frame on Chain Reaction Cycles. The frame had a factory defect, unsuitable for use. I sent a warranty claim, but it's been more than three weeks and I still haven't received a reply! Every time they promise to answer later! The disgusting Chinese quality of the Ragley frame and the disgusting service of Chain Reaction Cycles!
They indicated a 4-5 day delivery on prepaid shipments which included duty and broker fees to Canada. Ordered the products September the 13,2020. It is now September the 25,2020 and the shipment is no where in site. They used SkyNet as a carrier out of England which looks like a 3rd party provider unlike UPS, DHL or FedEx.
Not the way to go for International Sales. Tried contacting SkyNet without any success. Its was a small purchase 2 Tires.
Answer: Yes. My bike was received with one end of the box fully open, and this caused movement of the bike in transit, resulting in the chain falling off and catching tight between the frame and the chainrings. This resulted in a bent chainset and 3 months of hassle getting ti resolved. STRESS!
