After our housekeeper pointed out that wand was cracked Tuesday at 2:00 i got online looking for a replacement. I order one from Central Vacuum Store only to be surprised when it was delivered at 1:00 Wednesday, Today less than 24 hours after ordering the wand and with no expedited shipping. This is really fast service and I got just what I needed are a really good price.
Ordered the CV 300. The accessory pieces have already arrived and my new power unit should arrive at the end of this week or first part of next week. I'm so excited! And hopefully this will be a great experience but thus far it already has been a great experience.
Bought a $90 part. Paid for it and shipping. A few days later got an email that they cancelled my order. When I inquired they told me I'm Canadian and need to spend $500USD and can only pay with a US credit card. They wasted my time and money as I lost out on foreign exchange on cc charges buying and refund. The system should have told me during the order this info. They told me it's in the FAQ. Who reads the $#*!en FAQ? I then proceeded to write the 3 lines of programming code required to give the warning online to Canadians and sent it to them. (If you view source in your browser you can see all the code... I gave them exactly what they needed to embed). Not even a god damn thank you from them. Go elsewhere... Not nice people.
Roger took the time to educate me and was very patient. I had read a great deal about central vacs and Hide-a-Hose, in particular, before calling and I had some very specific and in-depth questions. I could not stump him; he is full of good advice. He even advised me that some things I thought might be needed actually weren't. I was on the fence about where to order from, but now I'll definitely order from them for my upcoming order and in the future.
Ordered an item 8/8. Checked over week later to see status is still in processing. Called and left detailed voicemail with requested reason for call, order number, name, phone and email address. No one returned the call nor responded via email. I had to check order status only to find out they left a comment in the order say the item was no longer in stock and would not arrive to their facility for another 10-15 business days. Requested cancellation and refund. If they ask for your email and phone number hwen leaving a voicemail, they should proactively reach out to provide an update, not just leave a comment in your order status that you only see if you go back to your online order information and hope there's an update.
I order a part for client 3 months ago they told me that they had it in stock so I order it well 1 week went by and nothing 2 weeks go by still nothing so on the 3rd week I called them they told that due to COVID the part will be little bit delay so I said ok well 3 months go by and I haven't receive my part so I cancelled it. DON'T BY ANYTHING FROM HERE. SCAMMERS
I order in October 2021 after months of emailing and calling I finally received my replacement vacuum in January, it works great but... unfortunately I ordered a new sock also, I was tired of contacting and had my husband call he left a message of course they never called back, so I guess they made an additional small bonus off of us of $61 because they sure didn't offer any compensation for this mishap. In the future if I need replacement parts I will try to go thru someone else.
Even though it took over a month to receive our vacuum. I'm still waiting for a refund on the return parts that I sent back on May 17,2020 and it has been mysterious stuck at the post office in their town, I provided the correct return address that was given to me by the company. All I received from them was an email asking if I addressed it correctly, yes, I did. Customer service is slow and not friendly. Happy with our vacuum, but I would never order from them again.
I cannot thank the staff at Central Vacuum enough for their help and service! My emails and questions were answered promptly by a real person. When I called for help a real person, Roger, answered the phone and helped figure out what was wrong with my central vacuum system and helped me fix it over the phone. Roger also helped me order the correct parts. The the only thing that was difficult was waiting on delivery, which took almost 3 months. They were having order delays and then covid19 delayed it further but they kept me updated the whole time and were very apologetic. Great company to work with! Thank you!
Roger is the only knowledgeable person I spoke to at multiple sites for retrofit intercom systems. I had a 30 year old M and S system that was nonfunctional. When I desribed my specific unit Roger knew which Intrasonic Retro-M part I needed off the top of his head including all the replacement trim pieces to cover my dry wall voids given the difference in speaker size This conversation lasted no more than 5-7 minutes including ordering. I received the unit and my electrician installed it uneventfully. This was a phenomenal experience. Milan D.
I bought a powerhead for a DUST CARE system on 02/15/2019. The powerhead showed abnormal performance near the end of Jan of 2020.
Since the powerhead has a year warranty time, I contacted the people in the store and obtained an excellent services. I got a new one from the manufacturer. Many thanks for Jeff, Nancy and Debbie!

I ordered item months ago. I called numerous times left voicemails and emails no response. Had to file dispute with PayPal. Terrible customer service!
It has now been 3 weeks since i ordred, my package still has not shipped. I cannot run my company waiting on another company like this!
While the website is impressive, this is a small company that doesn't have a large warehouse with stocked items ready for quick shipment. I found this out after I placed my online order and was charged immediately, and then after a week, no email about shipment. I called and they said the part needed to be ordered and I would get an email when it shipped. It's now almost 1 month and NO email about shipment. No email about status. I called again inquiring and they said they had to order the part (which I knew). I just didn't think it'd take this long (in 2019) to get something delivered. While they were nice and all, if you want something quickly, you might want to call first to inquire about whether or not they have the item you want in stock because if they don't, then you might not get it in what most would consider reasonable. I could've gone to a our local vacuum cleaner store and get it faster for the same price. I thought I would save me the drive and time by ordering from here. I also asked why my card was charged at order placement rather than at shipment (if the item had to be ordered by them first). They said it was (again) because they are a small company and don't maintain credit card info in their system to charge a card later. This is my first experience with them, but I would not use them again based on this experience as there are other companies that offer better communication about orders that don't ship out immediately. My order was to reportedly arrive to them from wherever they ordered it in 2 more days (26 days from order placement). It would ship then ship from them to me. So, it would've been about 30 days from order placement to me receiving. In today's market, there are other companies that offer faster service and better communication about orders.
I was "baited" by a salesman into placing an order prior to a coming Black Friday sale. My order will take 7-8 weeks to fill. I'm one of the rare negative reviews, but after multiple emails and phone calls, Central Vacuum has decided $40 is worth losing a future customer and one bad review. Details, below:
I called Central Vacuum Stores and spoke with Jeff on 11/13 prior to the coming Black Friday sales. I was offered a 15% discount on my entire purchase (but only for today!) as all items in my cart were go to full MSRP, and then be 20% off during the Black Friday sale. However, all items were still listed at sale price on Black Friday, with a 20% site wide deal. I called Jeff the following Monday, and was told I would be credited the 5% difference (about $40) as the items did not go back to full MSRP on Black Friday.
I emailed central vacuum on 12/12, as I had not received a credit. I was told that I received the best deal, and there would be no credit. So, I was given bad information to get a sale, and then given more bad information when I called to correct the matter. If $40 on a $923 order is enough to lose a customer for life, that's Central Vacuum's choice.
I received an email on 12/13, for items I originally purchased 11/13, that Central Vacuum "ran out of stock" ($12 cover plates) and will not have any until the week of 12/23, and will ship them sometime after that. So, I will have waited at least 7 weeks for my order to be filled.
So, if you want to play the discount game, and wait 7-8 weeks for your entire order to show up, Central Vacuum Store is the place for you. If not, try thinkvacuums.com or evacuumstore.com. Perhaps they're better at honoring promises. Central Vacuum store was not good at following through on their commitments, in my case.

With that being said, when customers purchase a central vacuum system from us we offer unlimited diy support. In addition, usually most plumbers, electricians, or a handy-man can install a system.
