CCCleaner professional. DON'T LET THESE SCAMMERS HAVE YOUR PAYMENT DETAILS.
Didn't want to renew, but money taken for renewal a month before the renewal date. Promised a refund, but then all you get is bombarded with "offers" to stay.
Looking at all the reviews it seems I'm not alone - there seems to be a definite pattern of extremely poor customer service & dodgy renewals, using Cleverbridge as an intermediary to help muddy the waters & delay refunds. You expect professional customer service from reputable companies these days, so I've been incredibly disappointed with their response. CANNOT RECOMMEND.
We used the extended version of their software. The hard drive immediately crashed and was destroyed and not recoverable.
We tried to contact CCleaner but they are not responding. It seems like this is a group of amateurs that I will never trust again with my PCS.
They seem non responsive and irresponsible too.
Ccleaner is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I paid over $20 to download their product. It did not work and I asked for help, then a refund. They have never responded to any of several emails direct to their so called support department and have not returned phone calls. They just don't care. Take the money and run.
I'm angry! I have the old free version, only sweeps cookies and stuff like that. Never upgraded because i have other soft ware doing the same thing. But ccleaner took a unauthorized withdrawl from me.
So difficult to get through to them, if they don't reverse the unauthorized withdrawl, i'm going to take legal action. Im sure it wont work but social media will be aware.
The startup Optimizer put all of my Office 365 apps into "sleep" mode, which resulted in not being able to start a word or excel document normally. I had to open them in admin mode. After excluding office from the optimize list, office applications could once again be run normally. I will not be using this "feature" of the program.
Have run this product successfully for years.
Made the mistake of "Upgrading" to the new version. New version suggested I put a number of programs to sleep, guaranteing that they would wake up when I needed them... Not so much.
So now I have a PC that Office apps no longer run on because they won't start. Piriform sold me Premium Tech Support. Only problem is that it doesn't exist. The support has always been marginal, but the product was good.
Now BOTH product and support suck.
I have used CCleaner for a long time and loved it. But something has changed which now aligns with the scummy other stuff out there. Popups you receive without even accessing the app, that you can't close without clicking on the content. Not good! I will delete and look for a replacement.
I upgraded my ccleaner subscription to software that came with a vpn (kamo). All kinds of strange things were happening to my computer and I thought it was going to crash. After first reboot the new license key was vanished and it said I was using the free version. Anyway it was one thing after another and this 24/7 support they said I had was false and no one ever resolved anything so I requested a refund and asked for the old license key back when they ghosted me for awhile then sent me a key but refuse to extend the license for the three weeks that my computer was tripping out without the software that was originally paid for. Very dishonest ownership. BEWARE!
I am using Ccleaner 6.22 which I just received today, and Ccleaner is not cleaning Google Chrome. I used to have Ccleaner clean Google Chrome, but now Ccleaner 6.22 is not cleaning Google Chrome. I wanted to let some one know this.
Used CCleaner free for years with good service. Bought Professional, and a month before that expired they renewed it with an unauthorized credit card charge and NO nitification. I had NOT agreed to their "subscription". Trying to get this resolved is impossible based on their response. If they have your credit card information, they WILL use it and they tell you once they charge it, there are no refunds. BEWARE of this company.
I have twice tried using this product's "tune up" processes; once to update drivers, once because "my computer was feeling under the weather." Both times it totally disabled my computer. Once I had to take it to a professional to get it working again. The second I had to uninstall Chrome and Office 360 and re-install them. Probably have others I will need to reinstall. Also destroyed Quicken and I am having to re-enter months worth of data. I have not idea how this keeps getting positive reviews from the corporate reviewers, but I will never let it near a computer again.
I would give more stars except for the fact the program keeps popping up a window asking to upgrade to the Pro version even after the program is closed. This window has a no thanks option, but the fact that it keeps doing this id very annoying. Uninstalled because of this
I used it for My Windows computer cleaning, it's helpful with its efficient cleaning and maintenance of the computer, and it is useful to fix some registry errors and block phishing apps. But sometimes it becomes a time-consuming process and it is free with just some basic features, I need to pay for it...
Kudos to Frank C for his review of this site!
I went to it and downloaded the software and it worked like a charm! Thank you Frank! It's definitely cleaned up and cleared up some long time issues I've had with my computer. Great site! It was very fast too.
I bought CCleaner some months ago. Cleaned my registry several times. Finally decided to clean my files also. When the screen came back I was unable to do anything. I had to do a hard shutdown. I was unable to get into Safe Mode. I called Microsoft and we determined that the registry was corrupt. We had to rebuild the operating system in place. I am still finding various functions that don't work but have been able to fix them. I would not install this software.
I have been using this handy clean up utility software on my PC for years now. It does what it is supposed to do flawlessly. You can quickly and easily get rid of unnecessary junk that may be slowing down your computer, like temporary files, cookies, old registry files and so on. With a few simple clicks, all of your junk files will be wiped away. There is also a cellphone app version that will do the same thing for your phone. I have also been using the cellphone app version for a while and it is great, just like the PC one. You can choose to use either the free version or upgrade to the premium paid version for both your PC and cellphone. I have been using the paid version for both my PC and cellphone, so I can honestly say it is great and worth the small licensing fee you pay for them. The free version works just fine, if you don't care about or aren't interested in the little bonus perks of the paid version. Either way, you will be cleaning the junk out of your PC and cellphone with no effort at all.
I made the mistake of renewing my CCleaner licence early, and I have had so much trouble with them and the program, they keep telling me I need to purchase a new licence key, their so called help was of no help so looks like I have been ripped off

CCleaner Pro 20/08/2023
Sadly, Ccleaner wiped data (history, favourits, etc.) from my Vivaldi browser, eve thought it was not listed among those programs it would clean data from... very irresponsible and dangerous piece or software!... and it does not more then I can perform from the Windows and software tools & options with much more control! And it is the same obtrusive like it's big brother Avast...
I mainly use CCleaner as my Disk C cleaner on my Dell laptop. This small yet powerful program is a thorough system cleaner. It deeply scans your system and then lists a lot of items you can select to clean related to Windows system and third-party applications. You can wipe off a lot of things such as browser cache, temporary files, unused craps, cookies, logs. What is worth being mentioned is the plug-in "CCEnhancer". It adds extra cleaning rules to CCleaner to free up more disk space. I found that because CCEnhancer adds more options to clean, the program would load all scanned items slightly more slowly than before.
The paid-for upgrade to pro version brings you several more features including "Real-time Monitoring", "Scheduled Cleaning", "Automatic Updates" and "Premium Support". These are not quite useful for me but might be necessary to others.
In a whole, I think CCleaner is a great choice to clean trash when your computer gets clogged up.
Hands down one of the most thorough (and safest) cleaners I have used yet. You will be very delighted with this program. Also, stop by and pick up the free plug-in CCEnhancer which extends it's capabilities to cover over 500 additional applications at: http://thewebatom.net/software/ccenhancer/
Answer: Install Chocalaty https://chocolatey.org/install#more-install-options Then download the program free of adware Using commands "choco install ccleaner" Chocolatey is a program that works by downloading just the software with no adware
The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and billing practices. Many users report unauthorized charges and difficulties in obtaining refunds, indicating a troubling trend of poor communication and support. While some customers appreciate the software's functionality and have had positive experiences with the free version, the transition to paid services often leads to frustration due to software malfunctions and inadequate technical assistance. Overall, the feedback suggests a need for the company to improve its customer service responsiveness and address billing transparency to enhance user trust and satisfaction.
