I placed an order for a mother of the bride pantsuit as the delivery date would meet what I needed for a wedding. Upon acceptance of the orderand acceptance of my money, mind you the delivery date had changed and became after the wedding. I immediately called customer service to cancel the order, but they said it can't cancel it. This makes no sense to me as it would cost the company money to process the order and ship it to me. I'm not surprised now as the day I got it. I promptly returned it through "happy returns. Which is what they recommend doing. It's such a, it's a horrible scam because they're third-party. They say the item gets delivered back to Catherine's, but they don't offer you your money back. It'sbeen two months and I have not gotten my $120 back for this outfit. Shame on them and shame on me for trusting and online company with horrible reviews. Their customer service is no service at all. Beyond frustrated and out of patience.

Their Fault - I PAY

I placed an order for two dresses in different colors. But I found TWO charges on my bank account for the company in the EXACT amount. I contacted my bank the next day and they said I should request the company "reverse" one charge. So I did. And they said they couldn't. They said I ordered TWO of the exact same thing, which I did NOT. But, when the two packages arrived (on the same day), they now tell me I can return the duplicates, for a $10.00 processing fee. I DID NOT ORDER the same thing twice, in less than 10 seconds. This company overcharges for shipping anyway and now wants to steal $10.99 for a mistake they made and won't admit to. I don't care that it's a small amount. I WILL NEVER SHOP WITH THEM AGAIN.

BUYER BEWARE! HORRIBLE return policy. Customer service absolutely not willing to work with you. I used my exact measurements (Per their instructions) and item was way too big and was stitched oddly so I wanted to return it. A smaller size would not solve the ugly stitching problem. Based on the "policy" I only received a $19 refund on and item I initially spent $42 on (Item, Tax, Shipping). The only way to receive my full refund (Minus what I originally paid for shipping) was to get an e gift card for THEIR store. A Store I will never purchase from again. Nor will I buy from any of their affiliates. This is a very unethical way to do business. Unscrupulous and disgraceful business model.

Catherines.com is not a legitimate or trustworthy retailer. Our experience makes it clear that this company is running a calculated scam on its customers. Here's exactly what happened: Unauthorized Charges for "Membership"
We were charged $16.96 per month for a so-called "Member Rewards" program that we never signed up for and never logged into. There was no clear disclosure or consent. This is not just shady—it's a violation of the Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA), which prohibits enrolling people in recurring payment plans without explicit and informed consent. Garbage Clothing and Partial Refunds
The clothing we received was cheap, defective, and poorly made—thin fabric, loose stitching, and not at all like what was shown online. When we returned the items, they only gave us a partial refund, keeping a portion without justification. It's obvious this is intentional: they sell junk knowing you'll return it, so they can keep part of your money either way. They Keep Your Private Financial Info—Even When You Ask Them Not To
After canceling everything, we demanded that Catherines delete our credit card details and personal information from their system. They refused, citing company policy. This is a direct violation of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and other consumer privacy protections, which require companies to safeguard and, when requested, delete sensitive financial data no longer needed for legitimate business purposes. DO NOT give this company your credit card. Do not trust them with your information. Do not order even once. This is not a mistake or bad customer service — it's a business model built on deceit, low-quality goods, unauthorized charges, and data abuse. Stay far away.

Unreliable Company

Picking out clothes for your loved one's final day is something that is sacred and families take seriously. We all want our loved ones to look their best! That being said, Catherine's has been the most unhelpful clothing company I've come across. I work at a funeral home and we placed an order on March 17 for a dress for one of our client's loved ones for their service. We received shipment confirmation on March 20, but it being March 26 and still not receiving the dress, I decided to call customer service. I was first told it was shipped, then another person told me it was still in the warehouse, then the supervisor told me it was shipped and there was nothing they could do about the fact that FedEx has not received it. I asked for either another dress to be overnighted to make it in time for our family's service, to which she basically said I had to return the other dress (that I have not received yet) before they could do anything to help resolve the situation. This place is extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. We were supposed to receive a phone call from a manager but no one has called us. Do not shop here for anything!

IF you have shopped a Catherines or maybe one of the sisters - check your credit card statement. They have been charging my almost 17 dollars every month for a free shipping program I do not recall agreeing to. I only buy from there 1 or 2 times per year - some years not at all - why would I agree to pay almost $200 a year to get free shipping that would cost about $60 max?

Dont recommand Catherines.
In Oct. Made an order from Catherine's the wrong size was sent, then I sent them back, the company never received them.
I made second order, they was out of stock. I never received refund or never receive product.
Last time I make order from them.

Unreasonable ripoffs!

Made one online purchase for 42.00 and they claim my payment for the one item was a day late. I explained I sent the balance in full in a timely manner, but they refused to accept that. They said they received it a day later than the due date and charged a fee that totaled almost as much as the purchase. So now, they are charging late fees upon late fees, now totaling almost 150.00! They offer no grace! No explanation is good enough! I will proceed to the BBB and Consumer Protection Commission for this blatant act of robbery. I will never order from them again, and I hope you don't either! (Purchase was made October'24, but last communication with them was January 7, '25

Everywhere I look the reviews for this mess are horrible but I used to love these clothes. Sigh. I ordered 2 skirts and 8 pairs of pants and I received 2 skirts 6 pairs of pants and a pair of boots? I've been waiting for weeks now for the prepaid return label and according to all the other reviews I'll probably be waiting a long time but hey run out that 60 day clock so you can say you're off the hook. When I do the math with what I was charged and what I got I didn't save any money and the aggravation is not worth it. Since it looks like almost no one ends up a satisfied customer surely these clowns will be out of business eventually. Fingers crossed. There was no paperwork of any description in my package. Hi

Shipping Charges! Whew!

If there is one thing I know for sure it is that when a Brick&Mortar store was popular and it goes "Online only" and there are LOTS of negative reviews, steer clear. I haven't purchased, nor will I be purchasing anything from Catherines Online. They have more ONE STAR reviews than any well-established store should have. From quality of product, to shipping costs, to returns. Just horrible reviews. No thanks, who needs that headache. BTW the shipping costs really are criminal, just obscene.

Terrible company!

I have tried to purchase an item that I was sent an email on and they refuse to make good on said item!
I think that would be false advertising and Catherine's should not be able to get away with it!

They would NOT honor this add that I was emailed not once, but several times!

I purchased a pair boots as a Christmas present and they changed a membership fee the next month of 18.23. I called the 1800 number to investigate and a Karen hung up the phone in my face! Do not ever give this company your credit card number they are crooks!

I tried three times to reorder 5 of 6 items that were ill fitting or poor quality products. Since their tech systems are inadequate and often down, they kept trying to get me to reorder everything over the phone. On my second try with an agent who had a children's birthday party going on in the background, the reorder was never processed as promised. During round 3, I finally insisted on getting my money back (what was left after all their shipping costs on my returns.) It ended up I paid more than double the cost for the one item I kept. Rip off artists! Much better outlets out there.

Since Catherine's has closed its doors their clothes and service have gone down hill. Poor product! There really is no good deals if you ready look at the offers or you pay the difference in shipping. If you don't like the product you have to pay to return it.

Returns are a nightmare

Beware! If you purchase from Catherine's or their affiliates, expect only a portion of your purchase price to be refunded. They kept over $80 from my purchase. Only $10.99 was supposed to be kept. Unless you have money to waste, do not purchase from them!

I received my order on Sept 10. Suppose to be 2 pair of pants. Instead it was 1 pair and bathing suit bottom. I returned wrong item that day and still waiting for my credit. Called today and told a gift card issued, no credit to my card. WOW!

$35 for shipping?

It's hard to find plus size bras. I like Chantelle which is a very nice brand but they no longer sell in my size. Catherine's seems to have a large selection and variety. I want to try a few different styles and sizes because I'm not familiar with the brand. I have 6 bras in my cart and shipping is $35 (I live in the US), which I assume I won't be able to recoup if I return some of the product. After reading these reviews about their customer service, I'll abandon my shopping cart and keep on looking.
