I had no idea i was going to get an international shipment in just a couple of days. It was a gift and the only place to locate it was Cask Cartel. Exceeded expectations!
Now that I understand how the process works, especially with more rare products being shipped from outside the US, its all good!
After ordering an item and waiting a couple of weeks, the wrong bottle arrived. While customer service tried to resolve the issue, I was disappointed to learn that the item was unavailable and nothing could be done. I was sent a return label to ship the item back for a full refund, but again was disappointed that they didn't offer a gift card or additional credit (above and beyond a refund) as a way to acknowledge the inconvenience.
I ordered a bottle of scotch for a Christmas gift. I ordered it on 11/29. I kept contacting customer service as it was a gift. It still had not shipped on 12/23 so I asked for the order to cancel. I received the order on Jan 4 after being assured it would get to me on time. I had to buy something else and still had to pay for the bottle I did not want. Never again.
It took a while, but this was a rare liqueur and came well packaged with no incident. Satisfied but did not receive a shipping notification so not 5-stars.
There was very little communication from the company related to tracking. The original order said that it would be delivered on 12/24, but it didn't arrive. It was a Christmas present. It was also stated that someone had to be here to sign for the shipment. I discovered it on my front porch when I got up on 12/26.
I got my order but the fedex person just left it out in front of my gate. I made sure I was home because I was under the impression that I had to sign for it. Didn't even know when they came. My boyfriend happened to go out to his car and found it and brought it in.
Ordered mid-December. Still haven't received anything. Horrible.
Everything was great EXCEPT the lag and lack of communication leading up to shipment. I don't know if it was my emailed questions that kick-started the process or if it was simply expected that I wait in silence for weeks until it started on its own. That said, your customer service was very responsive and I do appreciate that. Thank you.
Ordered 12/2, with anticipated delivery 7-21 days.10 days later, no shipping info and began email communication with company. One 12/13, email message that it was shipped and in transit. Over multiple days and even a possible date of 12/17 of arrival at sorting facility and subsequent tracking info being provided. Nothing received. Attempted to contact via website on 12/23 (21st day). Initial message indicated a response from representative could take 2-6 minutes. Nothing at 45 minutes plus.
Finally got notice from company in response to a private message sent via FaceBook. Pretty much providing the same vague information. A day later, I got tracking info reflecting a label being created on DECEMBER 23rd…that day the product should have arrived. Needless to say, a pricey Christmas present failed to arrive in time for Christmas. Order at your own risk. Please note…this review might reflect a purchase date of 12/26. I can assure you, the purchase date was 12/2, the same day my payment account was debited.
The initial delivery failed completely after no notification of delivery dates until all 3 were finished and product returned to shipper. After complaining a new delivery was scheduled with FedEx instead of UPS which was successful. However some catching up was required for an advent calendar delivered December 6.
The overall experience was good. After the purchase, the order remained unfulfilled for longer than expected without communication of status. Then I inquired, the order happed to get fulfilled and ship. Shipping arrived as expected. Happy but more communication would be ideal.
The company has a lot of different types of alcohol that are hard to find in stores.
Unfortunately, my son's bottle had a tiny crack at the bottom of the bottle. Even though he said the shipping box was very well insulated / wrapped. I think the bottle just had a defect in the glass.
So now he has to pour the rest in a different bottle.
Never got invoice from shipper (not CaskCartel) and still don't know who sent the bottle. When contacted, customer service sent wrong tracking number. Eventually got the right one and delivery did arrive in time.
Expensive.

My order hadn't shipped for over 30 days so I sent an email and it was shipped the next day and arrived a few days later. Not sure where the hangup was, but they remedied the situation quickly.
I was thrilled to ffind this again after 30yrs. Its absolutely amazing. And order was quickly shipped and received. I'll be ordering again!
