I have a laptop that doesn't power on and they gave me a good quote for it, but I have not heard anything about this company... is it legit? Anyone have experience with them? Because I have been reading reviews regarding them online, I still have faith in them.
Sent in a cell phone value at $160.00 and was offered $50 when they got it. Tried to have it returned and they say it's too late.
Too late? I responded within a week... Avoid cashforlaptops.com at all cost!
Cashforlaptops.com sent me a quote of $197.00 for my phone. THEY REFUSED TO RETURN MY PHONE, then sent $77.00 to PayPal. Seriously! My phone was in excellent condition would understand if they sent a reduced value but honestly $77.00. Waited 30 minutes on hold to talk to a representative who basically said they have recycled my phone and I can't get it back. So, I didn't have any other option than taking their $77 offer.
I, like everyone else, have dealt with Cashforlaptops.com and feel unsatisfied with the service received. They quoted me $197 for my iphone 5C. After sending in my iphone, I received an email saying that after inspection, they would give me $140 for it. After emailing my rejection notice requesting for the phone to be returned, I did not receive an email until almost 2 days later. They informed me that I needed to call in, to either accept or reject this new offer. Of course, I called! Luckily, I was able to talk to someone in the purchasing department right away and not stay on hold forever. I’m guessing it had to do something with the time of the day I called. Either way! The woman informed me that my phone had already been recycled and went through a huge list of things that were "wrong" with my iphone that made the value drop almost 70%. Absolutely absurd!
Cashforlaptops gives you amazing quotes online, then without informing you, they give you a minimal price for your device. Besides, you only have five days to request for your device to be returned back to you. They will insist you to phone in your request and not email it. This is when I called cashforlaptops to get my device back. Although, I got connected to a customer service representative in a short time, he simply said no to my request and refused to send my phone back. Our discussion continued for long, but to no avail. Terrible experience. Don't deal with cashforlaptops!.
I initiated the quote for my used Samsung Phone, and they quoted me $150. I shipped my phone using the shipment box provided by them. Later, I received an email from them saying that the item was about to be inspected and that I will receive the amount upon inspection. After a week, I received the payment in the amount of $65 through PayPal instead of $150. I rejected the offer and refunded the amount on the same day through PayPal. Requested them to ship my phone through their website email account, but they did not respond. That was so irritating. They finally called me back and then told me the phone was already processed and they could not give it back to me. They lied that the phone was damaged. The phone was in perfect condition when it was sent. DO NOT USE cash for laptops.com. It is a total scam company.
Cashforlaptops offered me $83 for my laptop. After they received it, they said they weren't going to buy it at all and could "recycle it for me" and offered me a $30 gift card which they would add to my next purchase.
They completely lie in their advertising. They want to recycle my product and make money doing that paying me 50% or less. Avoid this company!
I sent a laptop that was stated to give me more.
They sent am email with the wrong laptop photos and stated that it was not good and wanted less
They are not worth selling to and beware
I was quoted $204 by Cash for laptops.com for my iphone 5 and then upon inspection, the quote was lowered to $108. I read the terms and conditions again and they say you have 3 days to either accept or reject the new price or have your device sent back to you. I called right away to avoid any delays. I rushed for no reason as the representative informed me that their new policies allow customers to call within 5 days as opposed to three. Good thing I called though, because I didn't want to wait any longer to reject their terrible offer. Although I wasn't able to completely reject their offer and get my phone back, I was able to negotiate with them to pay me $140 instead of $108. In the end, it was kind of worth it to go through the hassle of calling them, even if it meant an increase of just $32. Just be aware of the misleading language they use.
I was offered $80 on Cashforlaptops.com and I received a check for only $30. In their terms, it was mentioned that if the customers weren't happy with the offer, they should call them within five days of receiving the offer. After reading all the reviews about long waiting times and being hung up on, I was afraid that I wasn't going to make it in the timeframe. Thankfully, they are also open on Saturdays, so I had no trouble reaching them. I did have to stay on hold for about 20 minutes to talk to someone in the purchasing department, but it was all worth it in the end as I got a much relatively higher offer of $60. As much as you may think that I seem happy with the deal, I am not! But, I have come to terms with the fact that something is better than nothing at all.
Recently I went online and found this site to sell my iPhone 4S 64GB. The site asks just a couple of questions then said I could get up to $153. OK. That sounded good so I sent the phone in and it took them over a week to inspect the phone and then send me an email to say the evaluation was done and to call. On the phone the lady told me there were a few "white pixels" on the screen and "we can give you $20 for it. How would you like that sent?" This site is a total BS ripoff! Don't waste your time and instead sell your electronics online with ebay or craigslist. Totally false advertising!
Cash for laptops.com failed to give me the amount they initially quoted on their website. They quoted me $140 for my iphone 4s and ended up giving me a check for $63. Sadly, I only found out about it when I returned home from a weeklong business trip. Fortunately though, I was able to talk to get someone on the phone right away who then quickly transferred me over the Purchasing Department. After patiently being on hold for about 10 minutes, I was told that I couldn't request for my phone to be returned to me because it was past their 5 days grace period. I was, however, able to get them to bump up my payment from $63 to $100. Do not lose hope if you've dealt with Cashforlaptops.com already! You can still call them and hopefully resolve the situation in your favor!
I used Cashforlaptop.com and they are a rip-off. They gave me a high quote, and then they took forever to get back to me. When they finally did, they had cut the price they quoted me in half. I was pissed because they had said that I could wait until after the new phone comes out, then send it in. By the time they got back to me with the lowball price change, it was too late to get a good price on Craigslist.
I sent an excellent condition iPhone with charger and oyster case. Was quoted 104 dollars, received 5 dollars. Should have read reviews first
I sent in 3 iPhone 5s, one 64g and two 16G. On cash for laptops.com, they miss quoted on all 3 and sent me a new quote through an email. When I called them, I was asked to wait until they received all phones and now they tell me they can't send them back.
I got a quote back for $126 dollars for all 3 phones.
SCAM -- do NOT use these people! Their online quote based on very concrete specifics was $119 for an iPad 2 64G with cracked screen. After waiting 30 days for the mailer, I sent it in and they emailed me back they would give me $14. TOTAL CON - DO NOT USE! I am reporting to any agency I can find to stop these scams.
STAY AWAY- absolute scam. They promised $250 and I got $35 back! I COULD NOT GET MY PHONE BACK EITHER!
I was offered $250 for an iphone 5s and then wanted to give me 35 because the box was missing and I did not call you within 5 days per T&C even though I explained I just had a baby and was in hospital for 4 days. No sympathy about the situation and the only solution was to give $25 more! Despite your terms and conditions I will report this scam is unbelievable and unethical
I was quoted $74.00 for my used phone by Cashforlaptops.com. I was informed in an email that I will be receiving a confirmation email following the inspection of my phone, which will also state the new offer price. Moreover, I was told that I had the ability to accept or reject that price and get my phone back if I wanted to. Then, one day out of the blue, I received an email saying that a payment had been processed and that it's on the way. Naturally, I assumed it was for the quoted $74.00 price or something close to that amount. I was shocked to receive a check today for $54.00. When I called, I was asked to stay on hold for a bit, then got transferred to the purchasing department. Luckily, my hold time was nothing like some of what the other reviewers have experienced. I was on hold for maybe 10 minutes, give or take a couple of minutes. I talked to the manager directly and requested her to send my phone back. She said that she can't do anything about my phone as it has already been processed for recycling. By the end of it, I was left with no option, but to accept their offer. I would've been much happier if I had got my phone back.
I had a perfect iphone5c. Other websites said they would give me $70, but Cashforlaptops.com said $85, so I shipped it out to them. Then, I got an email saying that it is only worth $45. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THEM. They tell you a fake price to create your interest and then do not give that price to you. Their quote is WORTHLESS because they will not give you what they say. Stay away and stay protected.
They quoted me a price of $165 each for two I Phone 5s. I received one check for $15. I would have preferred to give the phones to someone.
