I've read a few negative reviews about this company so I wanted to provide my 2 cents. I submitted my product information, printed the pre-paid postage slip and mailed the items. I will admit, I got a little nervous after not hearing back within a week. So I sent an email and left a message. They responded the next day. They apologized (there were some issues with the post office and due to the most recent hurricane shipment was delayed), processed the order and deposited the $$ to my Paypal the next day. Just be PATIENT. They will take care of you.
I sent in 2 calculators in mid December. The website is easy to use and the instruction is clear. I created an account online and has been following with site for status update. It changed from received, pending to paid. I got the check today. (Jan 12). So the whole process takes about a month, there is no hassle. And it pays as it promised. I will recommend this site
Sent my calculators during a holiday week, arrived their post location on a Thursday and staff personal was helpful to get my order through before the weekend to be sure I got paid in time. They shifted thru the packages to find my package just to find mine. You just have to have patience and understand sometimes they are under staff during the holidays. Thanks so much for your assistance!
I sent them a calculator TI-89 almost new with cover. They promised to pay $41.00. It's been more then 5 weeks ago. No one answer the phone or messages. IT IS A SCAM! The reviews saying that they pay must be a long time ago but not now. IT IS A SCAM NOW. Don't sent your calculators or even buy any from this company unless you want to lose your money.
Do not send your calculator. You will never get your check. I have emailed and called multiple times and no response. I have written to the Better Business Bureau AND the Attorney General of New York to complain. This company is a SCAM.
Super nice and easy to communicate with. With quick payments. Any queries/questions are answered within a day and they do all they can to help you out! And it's for a cause! Super simple and insanely easy.
I sent a calculator in and have tried to get in touch with them by calling the numbers that they provide on their website. Goes to voicemail and when you leave a message no-one calls back. I called 2 different numbers found on their site and each one goes to voicemail. Total scam. PLEASE take your buisness elsewhere.
I was quoted $49 for my graphing calculator in very good condition. What I received was $28. They claimed that my calculator was in "poor condition" but it was not. Just know that if you send your calculator here, you won't get what you are quoted. I would not use them again as they are not honest.
I have sent my calculators in going on 2 months ago and still have not received any payment. They have not called me back and I have not been able to get anyone To answer the phone, PLEASE take your business elsewhere, this is a complete scam. They have an office in Brooklyn for anyone else who this has happened too, check the better business brureau for this adress it's the only sauce I could think of to get your momey. Best of luck.
Crazy me read some reviews but decided to send in my calculator anyway, its been sitting around for the past few years so I had nothing to lose... Not expecting much I received a check two weeks later and it was for the FULL amount - about $48. Good site.
You send the calculator and they don't send the money! When you call they don't pick up the phone so you leave a message and they don't call you back. When you send emails they don't respond. I sent my TI 84 PLUS and was supposed to receive 50 bucks within 24 hours and never rec'd it. IT IS A SCAM. STAY AWAY
So, the day after I wrote my sarcasm filled, scalding review of Cash4calcs, I was proven completely wrong, and this new review is to eat crow! So here goes--The next day I tried calling the toll free number and was pleasantly surprised when customer service agent answered the line {period} I explained the circumstances and also let him know about my review that I had placed the night before titled ever get the itch in the roof of your mouth that only a gun barrel can scratch {period} the customer service agent apologized and said that he would have my account paid by the end of the day {period} this was no understatement {comma} my PayPal account notified me less than half an hour later that the full amount of $54 was deposited to my account {period} So give them a chance, they are backed up with the pandemic, they've got a shortage of employees, there are things going on beyond their control they will get you paid! I do encourage you to use the toll free number, hit zero if it goes to voicemail, and then hit zero again to transfer to an operator. Hopefully you'll get through to a real person and they will take care of you--kudos to cash4calcs for making things right!

Very very unprofessional, from reading the other reviews I honestly think that they take your calculator hoping you will forget about. It seems that they won't actually pay you until you get in their face about it. I sent my calculator 2 weeks ago and never heard anything so I gave them a call basically threatening their entire business and suddenly the next day I get my appraisal. Those are some real messed up people they say they give the calculators to inner city youth but they clearly don't have enough respect for people to actually be doing that. I'm 90 percent sure they just take your calculator, clean it up, and sell it for more. Sell your calculator on craigslist, it'll take some extra work but for TI 83 you will most likely get 15-20$ more than what they give you without having to ship anything and wait forever
I shipped two calculators, a TI-83 Plus in it's original packaging (unopened) and a TI-89 Titanium model calculator in like-new condition. I needed and still need the money that I would have gotten from selling these calculators, but the promised money that was to be deposited into my PayPal account is lacking. I've called the place many times, but have gotten voice mails each and every time. (I've called before the holiday season, so that's no excuse). Very disappointed, and considering further measures to get my money.
I read all the horrible reviews but decided to try this site anyway - So glad I did. I sent them about fifty TI-83's that I felt were not in that great of shape. I expected to receive less than half of the quote I got on the website, but damned if they didn't send me nearly the whole amount. Yes, it took about 3-4 weeks total but I received payment with no problems and would definitely use this site in the future.
This site gives you a free shipping label for you to send in calculators. I sent in my TI-84 plus last week and just got paid today. Their site says 24 hours, but I imagine thats for paypal payments (otherwise they'd have to overnight me a check, and that probably cost more than the calculator is worth). I don't mind waiting for a check to arrive, so I have no complaints. They pay more than anyone else.
I sent in a group of 15 TI-83's last month with one of the company's free shipping labels. I am based in Upstate NY so it shipped quickly -- just two days. I received a message from a Customer Service Representative that Cash4Calcs was inspecting my calculators. Within 24 hours, I received my expected payment in full.
Very positive experience.
Get wise guys! The people writing on this site that they got money back are working for this scam. Read the reviews of people who said they didn't get their money and believe them! It's a scam. I mailed my calculator four months ago. I never received money and can't seem to get a person to talk to me. I've e-mailed and called. The calculator was in wonderful condition. I wish I had taken it to a pawn shop instead.
I have contacted this company 3 times and finally received a reply that they just received my package. I know that's a lie because I placed a receipt notification with this package. I am now in the process of reporting this company to my local Attorney General's Office, FTC and Better Business Bureau. They can no longer continue business like this. I would have had more satisfaction just tossing my calculators then letting this company scam me. Order number *******
I had recently gotten a calculator in the mail. In the package, there was a flyer of the cash4calcs company. I didn't bother to look at reviews and sent in my 'really good' condition of the TI-Inspire 84 Plus. It was said to be at worth 43.00. I have been waiting 2 weeks for the payment in my Paypal, and still have not received anything. I've called many times. Can't be trusted... SCAM.
Answer: I do not believe that Justin's comments are true. Justin pays about 50% or less of what he quotes. The bad reviews are from people who have been scammed by this company that pays far less than the fair value of your calculators. Do not do business with this company. Please donate your calculator(s) to a worthy cause before receiving peanuts from a scamming company.
Answer: I would not use this company. They are not honest.
Answer: I could not get anyone to return my phone calls so I emailed them. The email said that they could not give me the $49 they quoted to me because my calculator was in "poor condition". It was actually in excellent condition but I did not take any photos before sending it so I can't prove it.
The company has garnered mixed reviews, with some customers praising its straightforward process and timely payments, particularly when patience is exercised. Positive sentiments highlight the ease of use of the website and helpful staff during peak times. However, a significant number of customers express frustration over delayed payments, lack of communication, and perceived dishonesty regarding the condition and value of calculators. Many report difficulties in reaching customer support, fueling claims of the company being a scam. Overall, while there are satisfied customers, the recurring issues suggest a need for improved service reliability and communication.
