Screwed
October 25, 2022

This company has tossed me around like a hot potato after delivering a car with 11 redhibitory defects. I am unable to do anything now without having to potentially wait for weeks before I can even begin to get my trade-in back. Apparently, you have to enter into a new contract with Carvana in order to reject the vehicle within the 7-day trial. Who knew?!

No flexibility
October 25, 2022

Carvana terminated our contract for the sale of my car even though I was able to get them the final document required on the day of expiration. The reason it was so late is because the company who had the document would not email it to me, it was a Friday, and there was no postal service over the weekend. It had to go priority overnight. Which landed it there on Monday which was the expiration date. Carvana cut off communication, said the offer had expired and wanted to start the process over, which would have caused me to lose $4000. They don't care about their customers, just the bottom line.

Traded in and bought a car from carvana. They rushed my buy/trade. 6 months later, they're telling me they messed up their financial paperwork and didn't value in the equity for my trade in. So my car payments are shooting up $100/m. The paperwork I signed clearly reflected the trade in equity valued in with the new car loan. But they say on their end it doesn't reflect this. So my options are to get the new car repossessed, leaving me without a car, or pony up the extra money.
1. If I'd known my monthly payment would be as high as they're trying, I would NOT have traded in the car.
2. They rushed my trade in and swap, so they provided me false paperwork that trapped me in a contract.
3. The rushed trade in, made them charge double my down payment. I was charged twice for the down payment of the vehicle.
4. Spoke to a gentleman for almost an hour and he admitted Carvana dropped the ball, and screwed up. Told me I had some time (not months but more than a week) and options to think about how I was going to go about this. A day later, I got a letter saying I had 7 days to sign the new contract, or lose possession of the vehicle.
So now, I am forced to give back the vehicle and lose over 5k or pay for their mistakes. And I've done everything right on my end.
They say they'll drive you happy, but they've driven me to a series of regrets and turmoil over THEIR mistake.

I Was SOLD A LEMON
October 24, 2022

Please DON'T buy from Carvana, they sold me a vehicle that had problems within the 7 days of purchase. The 150 point inspection they claim they do on all vehicles is a lie, and a customer service rep confirmed this by saying "we are not mechanics, we dont anything with our vehicles". The car was sold to me a crack/leak on the rack and pinion, metal on metal brakes, warped rotors, and broken control arm... not to mention the incorrect mileage on the paperwork. Carvana's reply was "this isn't our issue". I did purchase the warranty through their partner company Silver Rock, and they aren't any better. The only thing Silver Rock covered was rack and pinion. So now I have to pay out of pocket all the issues stated previously above, which total over $1100. All of this should've been fixed before the sale since they boast their 150 point inspection or cover the costs for the repairs on things I didn't cause. CARVANA IS A SCAM! FALSE ADVERTISING! ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY! DONT BUT FROM CARVANA

Do not use Carvana
October 24, 2022

My car was delivered with a small crack in the windshield that I missed when it was delivered. I saw it one hour later and called it in. They are not going to cover it because I didn't see it when it was delivered. It is already splintering and will cost me $250 to replace. It is the 2nd car I bought from Carvana and the first one had an oil leak that they never mentioned. I told them to come and pick up the car. They are going to lose my sale because they won't fix the windshield. I will never buy a car from them again. They are typical used car salesmen! RIP OFF!
Also the engine light came on as soon as the delivery driver pulled away.

We have been working with Carvana for 2 weeks to purchase a humble 2018 Nissan Leaf. At first, they only needed paystubs which we were able to provide. They changed things on us and told us they needed 3 months worth of "cancelled checks" but because we couldn't provide that we had to do an Employment verification. This took at least of week of back and forth with carvana because they apparently never received this or that. But, if we get this employment verification that is the LAST thing they need need from us! Finally, our due date to get things done is in 2 hours, we called our HR and said they had sent documents a LONG time ago - DAYS ago. Now, we call a carvana associate who said they NOW NEED 30 days of cancelled checks 2 HOURS BEFORE OUR DUE TIME when we have been ASSURED by MANY carvana agents that the HR verification is all they needed. This company is a HEADACHE. We will be cancelling our order and will go to a dealership instead. There's no easy purchase nor are they consumer friendly. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM CARVANA

Registration nightmare
October 21, 2022

Purchasing the car was easy and their warranty administrator quickly approved some major repairs that came up in the first two weeks. But it has gone downhill from there. My temporary tags expired so I can't legally drive the car. Was promised each time I called that they would investigate and get back to me. That happened exactly once. Now the 100 day warranty is running out and they won't extend the warranty even though they have caused the temporary plate to expire. I would never buy another car from them.

Worst car-buying experience ever
October 20, 2022

This is literally the worst car- buying experience i ever had in my life. I tried to buy a vehicle on 9/21. My bank Capital One isnt local so i had them overnight my cashiers check directly to Carvana's payment center. It was signed for by a K. Kelsey. Delivered at 9:44am, literally the next day. There were 2 cashiers checks 280.00 and 3520. 00. First they couldnt find any of the cashiers checks. Then after 2 weeks they eventually found the one for 280.00, but they never located the 3520. 00. I called every single day to ask if they found my down payment. The answer day after day was NO. Then they finally admitted that the payment centers relocated and it may have been lost in the shuffle. My bank has a 90 DAY POLICY to replenish my funds so i can get another cashiers check. That is absurd. I CANNOT WAIT 90 DAYS to get my money back and I CANNOT WAIT. 90 DAYS to get a car. Carvana completed a declaration of loss but that is not good enough. My bank still has to investigate etc. This situation has caused me so much hardship. I was supposed to receive a vehicle within a few days and now its been 27 days with no vehicle. Im constantly paying out of pocket every single day for Lyfts and taking the city bus. I cant take the bus everywhere because i have 3 children that has school and other extracurricular activities to get to by a certain time. So i mostly take Lyft which costs close to 100.00 per day. I am literally going broke behind this horrible situation. I NEED CARVANA TO FIND MY CASHIERS CHECK IMMEDIATELY. I need to be compensated for all of this extra hardship that you've caused. I need someone to take ACCOUNTABILITY for this situation. ITS STILL NOT RESOLVED! I DONT HAVE MY MONEY AND I DONT HAVE A CAR!

I can't tell if whoever looks at employment and income verification are just stupid or can't read. I re-submitted all of my bank statements, pay stubs, letter of employment, letter of job offer several times and still kept getting the 'you need to verify your income and employment'. Idiots. I can see why they don't have a high rating and am glad I canceled the order.

Terrible. 0 stars.
October 17, 2022

I bought my first car on Carvana a few years ago. Smooth process, it was great. I bought a 2022 Ford Maverick on Carvana a few weeks ago. Decided to swap it for another one with more features. Was supposed to be delivered today. Used the text channel 15 minutes after my appointment time (hadn't heard from the delivery person) and was assured that my vehicle was in transport for today. Called and was told it "needed to undergo more inspections" and that now they couldn't bring it until the 26th. They refuse to extend the mileage allowance on the truck I have now because "it will depreciate the value." That's my problem how? Now I'm screwed out of work for the next 10 days and won't compensate me in any way because it says in the contract that they aren't liable for any delays that are due to circumstances out of their control or not due to their own negligence. Sorry, how is it NOT negligent or within your control for your lots to NOT be secure enough to prevent theft of catalytic converters on vehicles that are in YOUR possession and are ALREADY PAID FOR? Now I have a truck I can't drive and they have my $38k. I'm furious and disappointed. Will NEVER use Carvana again and will tell anyone who listens not to use them either.

Don't do it
October 12, 2022

While the online process was easy you will wait forever to get your vehicle. They promise a good delivery date then on day of delivery cancell and reschedule for a latter date. This happened to me 4 times. I canceled and went to dealership which in the long run was much easier and cheaper

Buyer Beware
October 11, 2022

I have had a horrible experience with Carvana. The lemon they sent was delayed five times. I missed work, lost money from that and spent money on Uber and although I was told I would be reimbursed for my Uber expenses I never was. The warranty has covered thousands of dollars worth of repairs and I have spent tens of hours at the garage. The car still cannot pass the state emissions test and I cannot legally drive it in my state. I bought the car for $18k and when I tried to see how much Carvana would buy it back for it was $10k less. The process started in June and it's now Oct 11 and they haven't given me a full refund yet. Run from Carvana!

Worst Car Buying Experience Ever
October 7, 2022

I am in the midst of the absolute worst car-buying experience of my life with Carvana. 20 minutes prior to my vehicle being delivered, A rep called me and told me that the car hasn't passed NC inspection and also needs additional repairs, therefore my delivery would be delayed (again) another 10 days, then he started laughing at me. When I called and spoke with a rep, instead of allowing me to speak with a supervisor, she was recommending other vehicles, then swapped the car I purchased for one that was several thousand dollars more (which I didn't want) and added it to my profile while removing my purchase. Now, the car I purchased is apparently in limbo, all my signed contracts are deleted from my account and I still have yet to speak with a supervisor or manager (waiting for a 24-48 hour callback). This is a nightmare that I cannot wake up from. I have officially insured and paid for a vehicle that I don't even have, not to mention my lost income for not having transportation. Carvana is the worst. And I don't see this situation improving whatsoever.

Carvana guaranteed to drive you crazy
October 7, 2022

Carvana is so screwed up it's not FUNNY 2 times delivery delayed. Because brakes needed repaired!
On delivery parks under the only tree on my street. Tilting the bed to unload smashes roof into the tree. Climbing in to unload scratches the door. Go to take test drive lights flashing bells ringing dash says faulty brakes don't drive! This was the reason for delayed delivery! Had all the problems noted next day I'm told take it to FIRE STONE OR PEPBOYS HELL NO I'm taking it to ford dealer well if you do you have to pay $200 so took it to fire stone after 3 days they stated it has all new parts we need more time to figure it out. Hell no ford deal here I come. 3 hours later it's fixed carvana put ALL THE WRONG PARTS ON It! Cost $985! Driving home 2 miles it just died at a red light. TOWED Back to ford BATTERY 100% corroded! Burned out alternator bad belt. Cost $890 SO MUCH FOR THERE 200 point inspection. These were in your face problems. First 7 days of ownership I drove it 2 miles. Day 8 was finally able to test drive it and that was to the body shop to get estimate to fix all the scratches. 7 days in body shop. FIRST TWO WEEKS OF OWNERSHIP I DROVE IT TWICE TOTAL 10 miles. CARVANA OFFERS to extend my 7 day love it or exchange it! THEY DON'T INSPECT $#*!! YOUR GUARANTEED TO HAVE PROBLEMS AND THERE ANSWERS IS PEPBOYS! THEY WONT DRIVE YOU HAPPY i THEY WiLL DRIVE YOU CRAZY! 30 days go by I call them BUT THEY WONT TALK TO ME they say I didn't buy a truck from them. They say my son bought the truck he had to give carvana permission to talk to me. Once they look up the contract they see MY NAME IS ONLY NAME On THE contract! I had to ask for an apology for refusing to talk to me. They say WE Don't know how that happened. I SAID I Do YOUR SO SCREWED UP ITS NOT FUNNY. NO WONDER THERES CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT'S AGAINST CARVANA!
F. Y. I carvana ownes the warranty company. CARVANA Owens the finance company CARVANA WILL OWN YOU NEXT!

Cy's poor experience
October 5, 2022

Just wasted most of a day trying to buy a car from these incompetent jerks. Its bad enough you can't see a car in person prior to buying, but I felt this was okay due to their stated policy of collecting money on delivery and a 7-day refund policy. So I spent hours of my valuable time agreeing to purchase a reasonably priced vehicle. After supplying the usual personal information, I had to download my drivers license (both sides) and give access to my bank account. Okay, so assumed available funds were verified. After agreeing to purchase, and setting a delivery date in 8 days, an email tells me I need to provide immediate proof of insurance (not a problem, but not necessary to buy a car anywhere else) and, by the way, they now want payment immediately. In addition, the agreed upon delivery date may be extended. A spokesperson told me they (and you) don't know if payment is required upfront until the order is placed; yet they clearly tell you as policy that payment is due on delivery, not before. You can't view or ask questions about the vehicle, the buying process is horribly cumbersome, and they change terms once you have spent your time giving them what they initially asked for. I can't imagine what it would take to actually get your money back if you were not satisfied after delivery. This place sucks - if you are persistent enough to buy a car here, you are asking for trouble.

Drove the car home and started to hear an annoying noise underneath the car. Thinking it was just something that got stuck under the car I just ignored it; however, over the next few days it got progressively louder, and when I looked underneath in daylight I saw the problem - the entire undercarriage shield had literally been obliterated and was falling off (odd how that would get missed during their "multi-point professional inspection"). I looked on Carvana's site for a repair center, but couldn't find one that did things other than tires and oil changes, so I called them. During the call w/Carvana their "Support Advocate" asked me when it happened and I said I didn't know. It could have been when it was transported to their facility or even by the previous owner. He asked me why he should believe I didn't do it, and I told him, b/c the parts the shield protects are rusted, and that doesn't happen in the 2 weeks I've been driving it (plus, I have it garaged everyday and work from home). Anyway, got it into the shop today and they found more damage to the exhaust system, and believe I'll have to take it to a Nissan dealership to get that fixed. All the while I'm waiting for Silver Rock (Carvana's warranty company) to let me know IF they'll cover it. Mind you I've only had this car for less than a month, have driven it less than 150 miles (99% all highway), and the undercarriage has been slowly falling off since I drove it out of their facility. Not sure what the warranty debate is about, but so far the experience has not been great. I'll update my review once Silver Rock (Carvana) does/doesn't do the right thing - until then I'll just leave you with an ancient Latin term: "caveat emptor" ("buyer beware").

We decided to upgrade to a new Honda Civic. The dealer we were purchasing through offered $2000 for our trade in, which we refused. Few days later when we were picking up our new Civic they offered $3,500, which we also refused becasue the KBB trade in vlaue was between 5-$5800 for Civic's with similar milage and in similar shape and dealers were then sellign that year civic from 8K and up and Carvana was selling them for@ 9K. I decided to see what Carvana would offer, so I loaded a few pics, and gave them all the info. Carvana offered a laughable $1,200... I listed my car locally on Craigslist for 7K and sold it within 4 days. Check the KBB value of your vehicle and then list it yourself, do not take Carvana's offers because they offered a fraction of of the KBB.

I recently submitted all my information to trade in my vehicle and purchase another vehicle from Carvana. I received a trade-in value of approximately $24,000 at 2:55 PM on a Thursday. The very next day, Friday morning, I remembered to add that my Jeep has runningboards. I logged into the Carvana site and added the runningboards to my appraisal. After I submitted the updated information, my appraisal came back at $19,000. I spent over three hours on the phone with numerous representatives from Carvana to try and sort out the $5000 decrease in my trade-in value. I repeated several times that the Carvana website said it would honor its appraisal for seven days. They declined it to honor it because I modified the appraisal by simply adding an additional feature that made it more accurate and more valuable. However They still would not honor their appraisal. I believe this is unethical and am very disappointed. I asked for documentation that states an update would significantly change the appraisal value and Carvana was not able to provide any documentation. Unfortunately the Carvana still boasts all over their website that they honor a 7 day appraisal. This is false advertisement.
