Carport

It's been up for 5 days waiting for monsoon weather to see how it holds up. Delivery was on time. There were a few modifications that were needed to fit in the tight space.
They said it should take about 1 and a half hours to install. They were packed up and gone in less than 2 hours. They even cleaned up before they left. It looks and feels like it should last a good long time. No more $150 canopies that are lucky to last a year. Waiting now for the neighbors to start asking about it.

Having the options on the website and seeing how it changes my overall price as well as the looks made this a pleasurable buying experience! I hope the install goes as well!
Well, installers overslept and didn't show up the day they said they would be there, that cost me a day of vacation from work. Couple days later they showed up almost 5 hours later than they promised, that ruined my Fathers Day plans. Installer's did very good job but we were unhappy they weren't punctual on top of a late delivery and were quick to remind us they should be tipped. Overall we got a good product at a fair price, I would slightly hesitate buying from them again due to installation hassle.

Really simple to do. Fingers crossed for the delivery and set up.
Well, delivery was 3 weeks sooner than expected. The crew worked fast and leveled my carport beautifully. They were out of my trim color so I had to wait a few extra days for them to come back out and finish it. My only complaint was how the trim was put on. It's not cut straight and looks unfinished on the edges. My husband and I will have to come up with more material to finish it correctly.

My only complaint was not being notified of a rescheduling for installation. On the given date I waited all day for installers and they never showed. It was only on my phone call and inquiry at days end that I was informed the installation was rescheduled for another date. I think a phone call from the company to let me know of that changeup would have been in order. Other than that I couldn't be happier with both product and service

I ordered a building on 7/13/20. Website said 3 to 5 weeks, I then signed a contract even though it stated 6 to 8 weeks. 4 weeks later they wanted a picture of site asking if it was ready. I specified in my contract it was ready 4 weeks earlier. Then I was informed it would be 10 weeks from date of contract. The following week I contacted them they informed me it would be 10 plus weeks from the time I sent the site picture. Now on 11/5/20 They will not respond to voice mail, text message. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Carports.com is a very unreliable company. It is located at 170 Holly Springs Road, Mount Airy, NC ******* (888/822-7767) and does business nationwide. It is more a sales and broker operation for several other companies located at the same address, including T-N-T Carports, inc., American Steel Carports, Inc., Coast to Coast Carports, Inc. I ordered a metal shelter for farm equipment on May 9,2014, and paid a 10% deposit. They were to send me the engineering drawings within a few days so I could start the building permitting process. It is now mid August and I have yet to receive the engineering drawings, let alone a schedule for construction. I have called many times. They are slow to return calls and do not respond to emails. When I do get someone on the phone, I'm told that someone else was supposed to have sent the engineering drawings, and a promise that they will sent right away. But, I still haven't got them.

Ordered Feb 16 and have heard nothing. I e-mailed 3 times and called and left messages and no reply from anyone. I finally was able to talk to someone today. I was told that as soon as they get enough orders in my area then they would send it out. What do you mean when you get enough orders? I have to wait until enough people in my area order a carport before I can get what I paid for? YES! I was told it might be another 4 weeks before I get it, maybe. Although when I ordered it I was told by the sales rep that it would probably be 3 weeks when it would be delivered, but no more than 6 weeks. It might be 3 months before I get this thing. Customer service is horrible at best. I wish I would have heeded the many complaints out there about carport.com.

Beware! DIY is very difficult as this company provides EXTREMELY poor instructions and customer support. I was told my garage would be free installation but when it came down to it, the company said they would just reimburse me 5% due to "red-tape" with getting the necessary permits. The materials were just dropped of and left with no instructions whatsoever! When I did contact the company for instructions I was given a generic basic plan for a 18'x18' garage.

I went to the carport.com site, and ordered a carport (carport.com is Elephant Structures). They said it would be about 6 to 8 weeks for delivery, and required a 10% deposit. Seemed fair enough. When the 8 weeks was up, I called and asked where it was. They said it would be another 3 weeks, and they needed another 40% for a deposit. They required 50% deposit on custom sizes. That was the first I had heard that it was a custom size (20' wide, 24' long, and 7' high sides). I didn't feel comfortable giving them a 50% deposit, and I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew that was the deal. I cancelled my order, and they refused to refund my deposit. I tried to reason with them, but they just quit responding to my emails. I wish I would have checked with the Better Business Bureau first, because I have since found that they have several complaints similar to mine.
