Carnival cruise line is terrible. The other reviews on this site and many others definitely say it all. We booked a 5 day cruise in which their website glitched while purchasing our add-on items, such as drink packages. We received confirmation, but days later noticed on our card statement that carnival did not run the charges. Of course, in just those few days they had raised all the prices. When trying to sort everything out with several calls, we were told without a history of credit card purchase we would have to pay several hundred dollars more. That is the point, your site glitched and showed these packages as being purchased but you did not run my card. How would I know before checking my statement that it did not go through when you sent me a confirmation? This was an issue their site conveniently had with many travelers apparently. I find this a very unsavory way to treat your customers.
Cruised on Oct 7-10. I enjoyed it. Slow bar service but wgat can you expect. The food could have been better but the cabin was comfortable and the staff were polite. Gambled in the casino and got free drinks, which is always a plus! Will be cruisinh again in March for my 40th!
This is my third cruise on Carnival. The first two time I booked on line with no issues. This time I used the Carnival travel agent. The first one ended up ghosting me when I needed help to postpone the trip. The second one failed to update my guest name in a timely fashion or respond to my e-mails asking for options. Long story short - there is no
Customer Service. If you need to postpone it's $250 per person even if you upgrade to a more expensive cruise. Need to change the guest traveling with you - so you can avoid the $500 fee for changing the cruise - then it's $99.00. All after waiting on hold for almost an hour. Carnival isn't the only cruise game in town and although I'm being forced to go on this one in October because of the prohibitive fees, it will be my last Carnival cruise.
My husband and I booked a cruise on the Celebration after being cancelled by Carnival on a ship that was not ready yet (Inagural Sailing) #J9F0R0. I was diagnosed with cancer 10/2/23. I will begin radiation and chemotherapy 10/23. Obviously it is past the August cancellation date to get a full refund but was wondering if anything could be done to get more of a refund than 50%. We have waited so long to go on this cruise just to be penalized greatly for being sick. We are on Social Security and every bit of monies are very important to us. Thank you for listening.
I call to cancel my cruise for today due to my husband passed away. The representative told me I am going to charge a $200 penalty fee and for me to get the 200 credit back to me I must go on *******@carnival.com, I don't see the logic of this why didn't she reach out to her manager to try to help me. I didn't have the strength or the frame of mind at the time I called in to cancel. My husband and I cruise twice sometimes 3times per year. I also booked for December cruise. I will appreciate if someone reached out to me or credit my account.
Thank so much!
We recently booked our first cruise trip. We used this website to do everything for the cruise. It was very easy to navigate and organize everything needed for our trip. They even offer ways to speed up checking your bags and that type of stuff when you are boarding the cruise ship.
Everything you need for the trip can be found on this site and it has been a great site to use.
If you want to book a cruise use www.carnival.com, you will not be disappointed.
I have been on hold for over 10 hours in total. Every time I get to someone they either suspiciously get disconnected or transfer me to someone else. I have been on 6 previous cruises with Carnival but will never cruise with them again.
I decided to take my family on a Christmas cruise this year,it has been a rough year on all of us. In one year we lost my son at 19 years old my aunt my grandfather and my beautiful mom all month's apart so I knew Christmas wasn't going to be the same. We love our cruises and love sail with Carnival but this 8 day trip was far the worst vacation ever. I would like to first start off my when getting my luggage the wheels were broken off of it, our room was on the 1st floor and I'm guessing there was a club up stairs from us so sleeping at night until@2 we listened to our floors shake and rattled from the music. 2 days into the cruise I started to get really sick, come to find out the carpet in front of our door was soaked in standing water. They did come vacuum it up but was left a big fan the rest of our trip blowing to dry the water up. And then getting woken up every *******@6-7 with a loud drilling noise like they were cleaning the lines out from sewage, so finally falling asleep from the night club, getting sick from breathing who knows what or how long the carpet has standing water "mold" and getting woken up to the drill sounds from the pikes, I would say this time with Icarnival has been far the worst experience. I have sent pictures and videos
9/2/2023 My family took this cruise and caught Covid. One of the workers said the ship was Covid Hot! 42 plus positive cases on the group just before us. CARNIVAL Does not alert people! They let you walk onto Covid Quicksand and care nothing about elderly or people with weak immune systems. Carnival A.k.a CarnaCovid!
Will not refund you if you try to cancel due to covid! Run Away do not get on Carnival Ships!
Mever again will i use carnival cruise lines. We smelled sewage the entire cruise. Lines for buffet were ridiculous. Restautants wer only open sometimes for 2 and 1/2 hours. People kept us awake all hours of day and night with screaming and yelling and playing loud music right outside our cabin. Worst part is carnival finally contacted me after about 27 days and basically did nothing. I will never use carnival again.
Carnival Spirit to Alaska (Aug 2023). Full capacity with Covid. Everyone we knew walked off ship stricken with Covid; yet, no disclosure nor acknowledgment by ship that there was an outbreak. Meanwhile, meal service was awful (wrong orders, food preparation bad, waiter preoccupied flirting with staff), only 2 of 7 nights with stage show (kept rotating comedy club comedians), and did I note that COVID was running wild.
Booked a 6 day cruise to Cabo. Recieved an email just days before leaving everything looked good to go. Once we arrived at the terminal they informed us that the two days in Cabo have been canceled and replaced with San Diego and Catalina Island. Complained to customer service at terminal and was informed you had to complain on the boat because they work for the terminal and not carnival. After getting boarded long line at customer service to basically hear that there was nothing they could do. I'm sure they saved a ton of fuel expense not going to Cabo and to replace those days with what they did was crap. I could of booked that cruise for a third of the cost. No one wants to return calls or emails. Just a waste of vacation days and money. Don't do it
Big inconvenience from the smell of mildew and a wet floor the whole trip. A blower fan blowing in my room the whole time. I didn't enjoy my room because of the defects of it. I also got sick from the smell when I was in the room. I didn't get a good sleep from the smell of the room. This is a matter that guess services knew about and I wish I could have got place in another room. When I emailed them my complaint, A guest care specialist offered me a $50 on board credit for my next cruise. They have it where you can't call anyone on the phone. I ask to speck to a supervisor several times and they wouldn't.
I contact today to Carnival cruse ok order to switch day and destination due to I have a kid that was diagnosed with a no curable disease. I spoke to a supervisor to explain the situation and ironically she told me that I had should get protection, I felt offended by her. She was very rude and unprofessional. I was charge 1000 dollar for a cabin that was not assigned yet and I was canceling 6 month in advance they did not want ti work with me in order that I don't loose my money mean while she make ironic suggestion over my son disease.
I felt rob and discriminated. I will never book a carnival cruse in my life, and less recommend it to anyone.
I had to cancel a cruise from a better cruise line that have the biggest ships in the Business. They were kind enough to refund me my $1,900 because of work scheduling issues.
I booked a cruise with Carnival and I had to cancel a cruise because of work again, Carnival refused to refund my $300 deposit.
Make your own judgment. All I know is they have lost my business forever.
I sailed on Carnival Mardi Gras 12-31-22 thru 1-6-23. I lost a bundle in the casino. I was told by the casino employee that o would get Spa charges refunded as a comp to my play time. I never got it. Customer care transferred me to players club, players club sent me to customer care….: Nobody wants to help me
I forgot my brand new clothes in my cabin, called the Mardigraw cruise line lost and found the same day! It took them weeks to notify me that they could not find my clothes. I did not call a week after, I called the same day that I unboarded the ship. Carnival Cruise, are you aware people are losing their belonging on your cruise ship? I paid a lot of money for myself and my family for this cruise, and still lost my clothes. If you forget any of your thing onboard, know that it's gone! I will not use Carnival Cruise or ever recommend them.
Worst cruise ever! Never have I ever been around the people that they allowed on that boat! The most disrespectful people ever and Carnival did not enforce any rules! Fights, screaming, loud music, banging doors, etc! Seriously the worst group of people on that boat. Never again!
I have been on a Carnival cruise before. The Liberty ship experience was the worse. First, the information that I received from my personal planner wasn't the same when I boarded the ship. Secondly, it was too many people on that old smaller ship. Thirdly, the directions on how to get around the ship was very confusing. We spent most of the time being lost from point A to point B. Lastly, the departure process was so unorganized left people confused again. This past past weekend was my first experience on Liberty and my last!
I was affected here in Calif by the hurricane that came from Mexico.I have never been in a hurricane but if a tropical storm can cause so much damage I have a fear of being on a ship in the middle of hurricane season.I will however reschedule sometime in Jan after hurricane and holidays are over. Please refund my $200 paid for my casino fun...Thank you Lana Simmons booking # NOVOM6 code 1132
Answer: To Whom it may concern, This is my 4th email, that I have sent regarding a cancelled cruise. I have been cruising with Carnival for a little while now and really enjoy the trips I take. I was suppose to cruise out on October 22,2022 and because my elderly father was diagnosed with cancer, (I was informed today) the physician wants to get his plan up and going. I found it very disappointing that Carnival is deciding not to give me my money back. It doesn't have to be money, I asked for a credit to cruise later; I was told that couldn't be done. It is not fair that I'm having $1733.00 taken away from me. Life is hard and if I could be on that ship on October 22,2022 I would've without a doubt. I would like for someone to take a look at my concern, address my concern, and return my funds or allow me to use this as a credit in the future. I'm hurt by the diagnosis of my father and to learn that Carnival will not assist in my time of need is very stressful. My booking for this cruise is B4W1B8, my PIN is 2221. I will await a resolution to my concern. Please allow my money to be returned or give me credit for another cruise. $1733.00 is not easy to come by. I can't imagine them being so greedy for money. I don't even want the money back, I just asked for a credit for a future cruise. I will take a cruise with Carnival in February 2023, I was told that someone would get back to me and I haven't received a call yet. Respectfully, LaShunda Culclager 972-801-8004
Answer: Called them and couldn't get my refund. They are thieves and do not care for there repeat customers. Stay far away from Carnival.
