Bought a vehicle from D&C Auto through cargurus.com out of Portland OR. Supposed to be black on black. Rims were plastic dip an started peeling and flaking off first car wash. Warped rotors and really dirty inside. The back of the second row literally had been duct taped on. Called the salesman who guaranteed that he would take care of it. $150 for warped rotors is supposedly in the Mail. Guy also told me it was my fault for buying online when I'm paying him not to have the BS and vehicle defects and to be delivered as advertised. Long story short. I'll never buy a vehicle online again. Dealership refused to spend $500 to fix the rims. D&C has inventory with cars for sale for 100k plus but won't pay for their mistake of $500, when my vehicle was less than a third of that oh well here's my opinion and review it'll probably just get deleted anyway.
Very dissatisfied with lack of customer service and hostile seller orientation. Who can sell a car when its listed as "high price" without considering an expensive $3K option like a factory DVD theater system. To add insult to injury thy push your "high-priced" ad to the back of vehicles viewed. This site is oriented to selling the cheaper vehicles to the public which is not necessarily the better value. I can't get anyone to respond to be listed as a dealer so am lumped in with private sellers and private party prices. System consistently locks up when attempting cover picture change. Had a lot of fraudster contacts, no buying customers on the last car advertised, sold it through Autotrader.
I bought a 2013 Ford edge sport from city Auto Sales in hueytown Al. It ran two days. Now it want run because it has antifreeze mixing with oil. The sticker in the window says certificate of inspection safety checked. What did they check?
Purchased two fj cruisers in the past few months from this dealership. Only provided one key in last purchase and rather going out of their way to take care of customer who just purchased two vehicles, they pretty much said tough.
I do not have an account with CarGurus, but they (ghost) my add's. They post vehicles I sold a long time ago, and I get calls and e-mails about these cars. The customers get pissed at me, thinking I am posting these fake ad's to get phone call's and e-mails. This is called "FISHING" in this business. I don't pull deceitful crap like that. The P. O. S. People at CarGurus do this thinking we are going to sign up with them from the response we get from the add's.
Before you get pissed off at a dealer for not having a vehicle that is advertised on CarGurus site, consider the source you are shopping on.
After countless hours of searching for cars online, someone recommended cargurus.com. I found the car I wanted within 30 minutes. This website allows you to search for a vehicle in a variety of ways to fit your needs and compares them side by side. It even gives you dealer ratings and vehicle history which, prevents wasted time and frustration driving from one dealership to another. I found my Toyota Camry on cargurus.com on a Friday evening and drove home in it Saturday afternoon. It was the easiest car-buying experience I've ever had.
My interaction with Vroom was terrific from my initial call on 11/25/19 to delivery on 12/9/19. Everyone knew the mission and they were committed to keeping the train on the tracks. The whole process took about 7 business days (excluding Thanksgiving, the day after and weekends). They kept in contact with daily morning updates. When they received my funds by cashiers check, they called the same evening they got it to prepare me for delivery. Within a day, they sent me an email with my expected delivery date. I am highly pleased with my 2017 Chevrolet High Country. It's everything they said it would be and more! I would definitely recommend Vroom to anyone looking to purchase a POV with no games or surprises.
Thank You Vroom,

A rip off company, first they keep jumping there prices every year, I started with $125 unlimited now and less than 3 years paying $550 for 15 vehicles, and on top of that if u get so many leads on a vehicle even if not sold yet they delete ur ad, they said it's there policy if u receive more than 30 leads on a vehicle, I wasn't aware of this BS policy until one of my customers called me said he cannot find the car anymore on cargurus. On top of all u will not get great light leads from them. Don't wast ur money and time
Not impressed at all with the customer service at car guru. Caravana is the way to go. Or any service that does more than just list cars. Absolutely not really helpful in resulting in a good transaction where you feel you have been taken care of. They have no screen for dealing with unethical sales.
Theyse guys are trying to charge me 750$ a month. I have 10 cars listed with them. I have been with CarGurus since the beginning. They raise our rate every year. This year it went up by about $300. I had to say no. Many dealers I know did the same and stopped being robbed.
Having read their publicity about selling cars more quickly than Auto Trader, I created an add, paid the listing fee and the upgraded $20 priority listing fee. I used the price they suggested. Five buyers contacted me... one with a offer at 40% of the listing, one at 60%, one a general inquiry, two "accepted" the price. In every case, when I wrote back and asked for the funds, they "buyers" disappeared (except the one offering 40% of the list price). On several occasions I wrote to cargurus support for help, about half the questions received responses, generally after a couple of days. Frustrated, I look on line for an alternative and found TRED. You can go to that site for my review (or via google reviews) of that car selling service, which truly exceptional
Your company has a false comment about one of my sales outlet that is an outright lie. I checked this guy out and he is a supposedly a mechanic. This never happened. I have shops that do my repair cheaper than most shops and this jack legged mechanic evidently doesn't like that. Shame on you. Lost a customer here.
Cargurus is a scam! Once they took my money they said I had to take a picture of my vehicle with the door open. I did it like ten times and every time they kept saying something was wrong with it. I have the newest iPhone with an excellent camera so they are full of crap. They took my money and never provided me a service. I'm very angry and wish I could find the person that played me like a fool so I could do the same back to them. Scammers. I attached the picture from their site after you take the picture it blurs out so they can wait a week to email you back and tell you that your picture wasn't clear enough. By the time your stuff is close enough to actually post the listing online, you have to pay them again. These people are thieves.
I am a dealer and I had close to perfect rating, (4.7) but now they allowed a guy to give me a bad review because One car didn't have pictures, just doesn't make sense, maybe I am a small dealer and only spend a $1,000 a month with Cargurus, if I was a big dealer, there is no way they would allow this.
We all know that a lot of car dealers are not pleasant to work with, in fact a lot are down right sleazy. Yet Car Gurus will not allow me to give a dealership I tried to buy a car from a 1 star review. Perhaps they are afraid the dealers wont use them if they publish bad reviews? You cant trust Car Guru car dealer reviews!
One price listed another given when you show up. Not isolated all over the place. Not only that car guru enables and protects these dealers with low vis reviews that are not easy to make. The prices on car guru are a scam
I was shopping for a Nissan and found an out of the way (low overhead?) dealership in Winter garden FL with low prices. I called the dealer and a salesman admitted that the out the door price would be several thousand more dollars due to mandatory extended warranty and Accessory packages. I am thankful the man was honest about this. I would have flown down to buy the listed car. I tried to place a dealer review on the carguru website but it would not allow it, claiming I had not called the dealership. (how would their computer know if I did or not)
I got in touch with them that I need a problem. Within a minutes I had a call back from them to confirm that driver was in touch with me.
No problem with payments (just shame they don't accept Amex), later they sending email with purchases and payments.
All very professional! I'm happy with the service, I'll definitely use their service when needed.
The car lots make up their own rules and most likely not to deliver to you. Some of the vehicles are too high priced and car gurus have no regulations to protect the buyer. BEWARE! Go to a local dealer and stop buying online. These people don't care about you, they only care about the money.
I purchased a used 2008 Honda Accord at Premium Motors in Louisville Ky. I must say I had a great experience. I took the car on a test drive twice and had it inspected. Only a small issue found. I was very impressed a 6month warranty was offered for free with no deductible or out of pocket expense. Eric was awesome!
Answer: Everyone I contacted wanted me to purchase in full price
