Do Not Use CareCredit Under Any Circumstance!

Put your trust in these leeches at your own peril. I got a CareCredit credit card for emergency dental surgery and haven't used it since my operation. I always paid on time, but Synchrony - for know discernible reason - reduced my limit to below my balance and immediately reported the overage. They then charged me hundreds of dollars in interest and report that my usage has increased EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS OR SO despite the fact that I continue to pay these bloodsuckers on time. Seriously, I get an alert from Experian that my usage on my CareCredit card has "significantly increased" by around 20% every few months. A card that I'm not using and have been paying on time. As soon as I pay this off, I'm washing my hands of these awful people.

The supervisor falsely gave ne information about sending me my money back of 300 for dentist bill I had to pay with personal credit card because the held up my 800 dollar payment when I went to pay for oral surgery the supervisor said they randomly put my money on hold I had no knowledge of this

First I want to say I have prefect pay history on all my accounts I have never missed it been late on any accounts. I have a very sick cat he is not eating or now going to the bathroom it's truly an emergency and I set up an appointment to take him to the vet that takes Carecredit. That same afternoon I get a notification that they disconnected my account for no good reason. So I had to Cancel my Appointment because they do not offer payment arrangements and I can not afford what it will cost out of pocket to get the medical assistance needed for my cat the test the medication and everything else. So this will most likely lead to the death of my cat who I have had for almost 13 years. So pissed if I could rate them a zero or less I would. Stay away from this company they do not care and I am seeing that they this year alone have disconnected a lot of other people as well like they are dumping accounts on purpose. So stay away from them because when you need this card the most to help with your medical or the medical of your cat like me they can turn it off and make up whatever reason to do so. The customer service is Useless they will not or can not help. They refused to give me a corporate number but did give me a PO BOX in Florida where there corporate office is located. So if your a pet owner get pet insurance it's monthly but atleast your loved one is covered. I can not get insurance because it will take 2 weeks to activate and my cat does not have that kind of time. Stay Away from this company and this card or Good luck and hope you do not end up in my situation.

This is such a sketchy, sneaky company. They say no interest if the payment is completed before promotional period- never make it clear that the ridiculous amount of interest will be charged when the promotional period is ending, they never expressly tell you. They want to keep everything hidden so you get screwed. And the customer service is cold, heartless, and rude. Sketchy sketchy company

I'm so disgusted with Synchonry they are not available online...I pay my bill and it goes through and they act like it didn't and add late charges! Yet trying to talk with customer service is impossible because they don't ever do what they say!

Crazy Interest

I requested pay off on 12/9/22. Paid off my balance in full. 1/13/23 I have a notice of $4.65 due. I reach out to find it is interest of $2.65 charged on 12/09/22 after I paid off my balance, now there is interest due on my interest that was due. I tried the online assistant and she(Sidney) was no help and said they could not help. I paid it and closed my account.

I wanted to pay off the outstanding balance so my husband could use the account for an upcoming large dental bill. I tried unsuccessfully numerous times to telephone to verify the pay-off amount; so I just paid the balance shown of their website which included interest (that I don't owe).
Instead of applying the payment, they emailed that they were updating the monthly amount I paid the day before! I responded to the email (because they can't be reached by phone) -- it was returned as "undeliverable because their mailbox is full" and 3 pages of gobbldy gook. YIKES

Apparently you have to pay the balance off before 6 months or they charge you 100 dollars. I called in to ask and request they close my account before the 6 months and then i will be paying the balance without the interest. Apparently they still charged me. So they disregard the fact that I was given incorrect information by their rep. Sad that you have people who work there and not have knowledge on how to be honest and speak the truth.

Promo deal is a SCAM!

I would give "0" stars if I could. My dog needed emergency care on a weekend, and opted to pay for it through Care Credit because I was told it was interest free the first 18 months. I accepted that thinking after 18 months, interest would be charged on the current balance. Whoa...what a shock when interest was charged on the initial balance! The interest charged almost equaled what I had paid over the last 18 months! I've had many promotional credit cards, and have NEVER had this happened. Normally, once the promo is over, interest in only charged on the CURRENT balance. Beware!

This trash company had staff admit me being charged in full was a bug after I set up auto pay 2 times and it took the whole amount out 2 months in a row. I had emails proving I set it up and recorded all conversations. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I never got a phone call back by their "specialists" at any time. They closed my account still and have no sense of responsibility. Use this service if you want to be scammed out of your money so they can take 3 weeks to give it back to you and then do it again the next month

They shut off my card (WITHOUT informing me) during my pets Cancer care follow ups. Wont turn the card back on and wont let me get a new account. Supervisors wont help eaither. I wrote a letter PLEADING with them to turn back on and the coldy denied it.

I had to DELAY his simple treatment due to them suddenly shutting off my card which casued my pet to be in the Hosptial for 9 days costing $20,000.

I will ALWAYS share with ANYONE who I come accross that has a pet to NEVER sign up with this HORRIBLE company.

BTW- Care Credits "reason" for shutting of my card was NOT a valid one. I suspect they did it because I requested for a credit increase just a few weeks before they shut my card off.

COLD. HEARTLESS. MONEY HUNGRY.

Scammers!

This company is bottom of the barrel trash. They charge interest on top of interest! Once you finally "pay" them off. They close your account and completely trash your credit score! It is a very misleading company and I would NEVER recommend to anyone!

A bunch of Liars

I have had CareCredit several years and never been late or returned payment. My bank put a hold on my account, which Was there error. I immediately called CareCredit twice and spoke with them, they assure me everything was fine. Today I fine out they closed my account! Told them I could get a letter from the bank it wasn't my fault. Gave me some run around about when I took card I agreed if there was a returned check- they would close account. Told them I wanted to see that in writing, started back pedaling. Supervisor was total jerk when I told him to look at my documented calls concerning my situation. I have paid the thousand of dollars on time, never late, never one returned check and this is how they treat their customers? No loyalty! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. If you get in a bind, or barely mess up they have no mercy and nail you to the wall. Oh yeah, they jacked my payment way up on the balance I owe! Such an example of exempilary business ethics. Nobody speaks English in that company!

Just the fact that we have a thing called "pet insurance" shows you the depravity of man, animals were here long before us, we have the responsibility to take care of them without trying to get rich by doing so the people that charge these outrageous fees, and these so called pet insurance, there's a special place in HELL for them all.

If you can't lay your loan by end of promotion they charge interest rate that is totally ridiculous! I borrowed a total of $2000 made monthly payments and then was charged an additional $700 interest! Beware of CareCredit!

Care Credit offered $5000 credit with two years to pay it down with NO INTEREST. This was for a dental procedure that cost $5000. I paid the $5000 down to $1000 and was aware that at that point they would start charging me interest ON THE REMAINING BALANCE. NOT SO. They assessed an interest payment on the full $5000 for $1,446.00. SO...unless you pay off THE ENTIRE AMOUNT at the end of the no interest grace period they are going to charge you interest as if you hadn't paid anything to that point. Let me put this another way: if you paid all of your balance off with the exception of a $10 balance they are going to assess an interest payment...in this example based on $5000...somewhere in the area of $2,500.
This is highly unusual and frankly very deceptive.
I called the call service number immediately and got into a heated argument with the rep. I was told that if I paid off the $1000 remaining balance at that moment the assessed interest rate would be removed. That is what I did. I will follow up in 1-2 days. We will see.

I have paid every month on my care credit credit card for 2 years.
I got Lasik surgery and paid through a promotion where there would be no interest for 2 years.

My minimum payments decreased monthly. I owed a very little amonunt left that I stressed I would be HAPPY to pay off - I just was doing the minimum payments each month for 2 year.

Since I had owed the small amount and the 2 year promotion was up I was charged over 2k interest for the past 2 years.

The Care Credit Rep said I needed to remember my promotional end date FROM 2 YEARS AGO.

There was no email, text, or app notifications that my promotion was about to end OR that I would be charged 2K on intrest for the past 2 years.

I waiting over 2 hours to talk with 3 different reps -when I finally got to a Manager he agreed that my situation is sad and that its a broken system.

Does not do me much good - paying twice the amount on a loan I almost had paid off in 2 years.

Yes - sad and broken indeed.

Do not waste your time!

This is the 2nd time we have used this card. We had no problems in 2020. We set up to pay in 6 installments so we would not have to pay interest. We did the same thing with this current charge. They took out the 1st payment, no problem. On the second payment, they took out the balance. When I contacted them they told me they could do a refund but it would take 10-15 days with a check being mailed to us. Needless to say, I am done with Care Credit. Additionally, I was on the phone for 15 minutes with their automated service asking me the same questions over and over before I was placed in the queue.

Worst Card EVER

I applied for this card got a $3K credit limit. Used it once maybe twice - total max charge maybe around 250 bucks. No issues with paying, Then months later with no balance due mind you, and they drop my credit limit to below half of that. Then I just got an email today six months later. They closed the card. This is the worse card to have, the interest rates are too high, it is really no benefits. I am glad it is closed, cause I wasn't going to use it anyway. I can see if I made late payments. Nah, I will never ever suggest this company to anyone. IF you are thinking about applying...please don't. There are better cards out there that would give you a better rate and deal. That card is a joke. Poor quality.

No issues with paying.

Buyer beware

Do not use this company to buy heading aids. I was told if you pay the amount of the hearing aid within one year you will not be charged interest. It makes it seem like it's a loan which it is because they pay off the hearing aid. However you will be hit with late fee charges like crazy. So don't go there
