I got Care.com for help for my mom. I had not had much luck with the help I got so I cancelled to
Only have my credit card charged 3 days later. You can only calle customer service if you upgrade to a
Premium membership! If I do get help again it will only be with ethical company.

I wish people would respond a bit quicker when someone is in a bind, but I don't believe that's Cares responsibility maybe just let people who really use this as a job to take full advantage of the platform for someone seeking help this isn't nonchalant.

If you require an access fee, than you need to be up-front with it, instead of me wasting time going through potential caregivers and loose them when your fee schedule comes up and offers to skip the sign up for later... your service better provide a quality candidate.

Ease of use would be 5 stars. It was easy to find several matches and feel confident in the quality of the candidates. However I felt the need to subscribe just to make the initial contact was slimy. I would much prefer to have paid a commission when I hired somebody. It would also be fantastic if through your website you could pay for workmen's comp, SDI, tax reporting... (for a monthly fee) instead of having to handle that separately. That would make a monthly subscription well worth it even after you've hired somebody long term.

Most accounts seem fake as there are no responses. Signed up and didn't realise it would continue to charge me when the first 3 month period was up. It was automatically billing me for over 6 months by the time I realised, and when I asked for a refund as I didn't mean to sign up for automatic rebilling I got a no. They then told me they had cancelled my account and would not be charged again. I have been charged twice more, and when asking for refunds on those 2 months (3 weeks ago) - crickets.

Thanks for stealing my money and providing a useless service.

I mistakenly thought i was signing up for a need for a caregiver. When I realized I needed to start over and sign up for 'need a caregiver' and not an actual 'caregiver'. I searched but there is no way to get a refund. I've tried several times to add a photo but it doesnt show up. This website is not easy to use.

When upgrading my account, the options listed monthly pricing, however when I went to pay, it charged the full yearly price upfront, not monthly payments which is what I was expecting.
I thought background checks were automatically done for everyone who is listed on your site, but during checkout a screen said I would have to pay $79 for background checks. This along with a few other "add on" options did not give me good feelings upon trying to register for your service.

All caregivers are required to complete an enhanced caregiver screening to include a background check called a CareCheck, which is based on the information the caregiver provides to us. It includes:
 
Social Security Number trace
National Sex Offender Public Website search
Multi-jurisdictional criminal database search
Federal and county criminal records search
 Care.com uses CareChecks to help maintain a safe community and their results are not shared. Because our membership eligibility standards for caregivers may differ from your own standards for hiring, we recommend you always run your own background check as part of the hiring process for results that may include: 
The most recent records covered by a CareCheck
Additional information such as driving history, traffic violations, and civil records
Your own copy of these reports (as CareCheck reports are not shared)
