I bought 4 $25 e GC for NY&C... They provided me with GC #s but no pins so when I tried to use them online of course they didn't work. It's been over a week since I contacted customer service and still no response. They were quick to verify payment method and withdrawl funds from my account though! Go figure... Now I'm out $60 until they find time to answer my complaint if they ever do.
I ordered a Walmart card got a verification call the next day and after 5 days they replied me back saying we cannot process your request. And we cannot explain further on the reasons. I am not sure why and for those who don't believe I will copy the email content here.
"Unfortunately, we're not able to disclose any further specifics regarding this process. We truly apologize for any inconvenience to you." infact they returned the payment with 1 penny less than what I actually ordered. Just imagine what 1 penny from 1000 people will earn for the company.
Note: I would give NO Stars, but this site force me to select atleast one star (Doesn't get any worse than this. Stay away!) - infact that comment is nice :)
I could not be happier with the service and the price when selling my gift cards. I was kept up to date on every transaction every step of the way. I am thrilled that I could turn worthless (to me) cards into cash to spend anywhere I chose. I would and already have recommended Cardpool to the bank teller who cashed my checks and to my granddaughter who has some she doesn't use. When I recommend an entity to someone I love (the granddaughter) you know it's a great company!
The discounts are appropriate for the demand, i. E. higher demand cards like Lowes & Home Depot aren't discounted as much. But don't buy an electronic card if you need it the next day or two, especially for example ordering on a Thursday and expecting it Friday. Their "one business" day must be some Mars 48-64 hour business day. You won't catch that last minute sale over the weekend with their cards if you expect to use Cardpool. You would expect an online only company can process online only transaction in 24 hours regardless of day of the week. And yes, no phone support.
Lousy so far. I needed a couple cards quickly and didn't get them. I think I'll cancel the purchase, as they won't respond. Customer service is lousy, and there are no phone numbers to call. It's ahastle
A lot of crap, my first order went fine 3-4 cards about 600.00, it was down hill from there, my second order never received, contracted them few time no help, contracted visa or m/c to get monies back, my order are not filled, my wife first 2 or 3 orders went well, 10 day to received cards us mail general mail, questionable to have 6 bills floating in general mail for that long, but now her orders are getting 3rd degree, placed order with another site no problem, better rates, card less the 30 minutes
I was worried after u made my purchase and reading reviews. I ordered a lowes gift card took a little longer than other companies to recieve. ALMOST 10 DAYS. But it arrived with the full amount ordered. Rating 4 star only because of delivery time. Would be nice to recieve within 3 days like some companies
They have a high rating as a company who accepts unwanted gift cards, so why aren't they acting like it? It's been almost a month since I've sold my gift card and I haven't gotten a response from them since. I messaged customer service twice, I even called only to be told to leave a message. In what world is card pool so busy they can't pickup phone calls. Clearly no one works at cardpool.
Sent a gift card in for 100.00 and now it only has 2.34 left. Seriously wth... Never been ripped off like that. What a sneaky little way to steal from people. Retailers aren't responsible for stolen cards so there is no way to redeem my stolen money
I had good experience with them but not until this year. Sometime cards were delayed sometimes with zero balance(small amounts) but when I purchased 4 giftcards worth $500, I discovered that they are thief. Cards were emailed it to me after 10 weeks, after multiple inquiries on the status. I have attempted to to use one card shortly after I received it, and found out that the card had zero balance. I reached out to cardpool asked for replacement of one card or a partial refund, at that time other cards had balance on it, however I didn't use my other cards because I didn't know if cardpool would need to process a full refund on all cards or if they would process a partial refund (I was afraid that they would use that as an excuse and would deny a refund if other cards were used). They have not responded to multiple emails, they have not responded to calls. After 5 months of waiting I went back to check on the balance of my other cards, and found out that they had zero balance on it. Again reached out to Cardpool asking for a refund. Was told it was my problem. They clearly resold the same cards to other buyers. They are clearly known for this scam and that's how they're staying in business. Why are they still in business? Where are the authorities to close this shop?
I just completed my first purchase on Cardpool. I expected to get emailed the card right away, but instead received a confirmation email stating that it could take up to 3 business days to get my card. What?! No mention of that on the site. Thankfully I found this review site, and a helpful reviewer listed Cardpool's #: *******787 (not the useless 800 # that only had voicemail). So I called it and spoke with someone, who then said they'd pass it on to their processing dept. to expedite the order and that I should receive it shortly. Two minutes later, it was in my inbox! The code worked fine. Please use this # if you have issues!
I was nervous to send my giftcards to cardpool.com because of the negative reviews on this site, but I figured I might as well take a shot since the gift cards were collecting dust on my shelf for almost a year. I found the online transaction easy and I received my payment about 1 week after I mailed the gift cards. All in all it took about 1.5 weeks from Pennsylvania - California - Pennsylvania. I never received an email confirmation that my check was in the mail, though I could login to cardpool.com and view the status of my order at any time. Would have been nice to have a tracking# for the check too. But, alas. It all worked as advertised and I am a satisfied customer. Would recommend to a friend!
Been trying to use their service for many months. 9 times out of 10, I get canceled orders or they take weeks to fulfill & or cancel. When they cancel, they are not at liberty to tell you why. Many of these discount gift card companies do this routine & early on I made the mistake of using credit union bank that holds your money 12 days when order is cancelled. Really way too much B. S. to do a simple transaction. I'm real, my money is real, my desire to exchange is real, so you must be the B. S. factor in this equation.
The worst online shopping experience I've ever had. Apparently they are under-staffed so they do not provide a customer service number. I purchased an ecard which should delivered to me within 24 hours but it's been over 24 hours and i still receive nothing. I sent several emails to the customer service and no one respond. Horrible company. Never order from them again. Stay away!
I bought a $50 dollar e-gift card on here for jcpennys and never got it. Checked spam, tried Calling customer service, emailed them several times and no response. Just "leave a message". Called my bank a week after I ordered and still not receiving the gift card to report as fraud, but got declined because I agreed to purchase it myself. Lost $37 bucks! Nice.
I bought 3 $25 AMC gift cards from them. When I received them, they are fine. But the balance are gone after a couple of months. They resale them to someone else again to make money. Cardpool is the worst company that I met! No any communication from them about this issue. Don't do any business with them.
I've emailed them 3 times over a 10 day period about an order that never showed up... but they never respond back... since they don't have an 800 number and don't respond to any emails... it leaves me wondering what's up...
Tried a few weeks ago to purchase Macy's gift cards from CardPool. Although they listed many, every attempt to add one to my cart was met with a failure "we no longer have this card." Yet, they listed it over and over. After trying 10 or so I gave up.
Today I purchased a gift card for a restaurant, only to have it canceled several hours later with no real explanation.
Suspicious of a site that consistently has the highest discount, yet can't deliver ( at least for me) a single card.
We gave them multiple chances to get it right, but they have the strangest and paranoid business model on par with Cashstar. Verified a year ago, but their risk assessment dept. cancelled orders for a low denomination gift card after they sent a false link for verification. Shouldn't be this difficult to buy a low denomination gift card! It seems this is how they keep you from using the referral $5. Bait & switch. Will never waste my time with them again and will tell everyone I know to stay away.
I just posted a review at Trust pilot too... Cardpool insisted that the verification number is wrong, and had the nerve to tell me to update my review. Well here is the proof!
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
