I've purchased one gift card from this company and actually did get the card. The problem is that they put a recurring charge of $46.50 on my credit card without my permission. I've called the company many times to have it removed and always get a recorded message. They have yet to return my phone call. When does buying something online give the seller approval to charge your credit card every month!
THIS IS A HUGE SCAM! AVOID AT ALL COST!
Was worried after reading the negitive reviews so I tried a small purchase of less than $20. Waited well over 24hours and NO EMAIL... NO CARD NUMBER... nothing! I even checked my spam filter and missed calls. I will not order anything from them again. Burned!
They sold me bad cards for gasoline from fall of 2018 and I still have one not resolved. I have a complaint filed with the BBB and they passed the deadline to respond. And that means I lost money with no way to get refunded.
Bought a Macy's card, and was not able to use in Macys store. Called Macys, and learned it was a stolen card. Contacted CardPool via email, but never got response. The email is the only way to contact them. The 180 days guarantee is a fake statement. Don't buy cards from there!
Had $380 on a BR gift card I wasn't going to use. Selected the mail option to get more back. Mailed card to just get an email that there was now only $2 on my card. Called the BR store to see what was going on to be told that $377 had been spent at a store the day I entered my card info into Cardpool website. They won't tell me where yet and I've filed a police report. The card was still in my possession when it was supposedly spent at a store so only people to have access to my gift card # was Cardpool. I'm still fighting with them... please do not use this website! I'm still sick to my stomach over this!
If you are hoping to exchange for Amazon gift cards to help with a large Amazon purchase, don't use Cardpool.
I submitted two gift cards on June 16,2019, to be paid in Amazon gift cards. Cardpool says 1-3 days. I emailed Customer Service on July 4th. Still have yet to receive a response. To date, no Amazon gift cards have been provided. My transactions are still "in review."

It seems the management of Cardpool has drastically changed. Until they fix their internal issues, I suggest trying another company.
I had never heard of this company before until they charged my account for $92.50. And then they tried to keep charging my account for that same amount several times over the next two days. Thankfully my back denied the other charges, but the rest charge went through and now I have $8 to my name. I've disputed the charge with my bank and I've reported them to the BBB. I want my money back!
"I give 1 star only because it is the lowest I can. I sold a 300 homedepot store credit to them after waiting their 30 day policy to receive my check they said they would reissue another check sorry for the delay. They used or resold my card on the 12th. I know this because I got the transaction history and it shows that the used it. Even with the proof in hand they will not respond to emails, delete my question, comments on Facebook. No real phone number to call some shady voicemail picks up right away. This is their recurring process as I found 100s of similar comments, reviews, stating their same shady work happened to them. Not trustworthy at all definitely a scam site they will take your money and never respond to you
I am shocked at these bad reviews. I am a buyer, not a seller, so I can't comment on that part of the business. However, I have been buying gift cards from different discount places for years and Cardpool is by far the best. It is so good, it is the only place I buy from now. They give a 100 day guarantee on the cards and I have taken advantage of that only because I give them as gifts and sometimes I will get a card I can't send. I give them to my nephew and nieces and their mother knows I buy them on the 2nd market. If she ever had a problem using them, she would tell me. My credit card is credited immediately when I send one back. Whenever I have e-mailed them, they are prompt and cordial.
Bought a Cardpool eCard in the amount of $150 for Petco to help with the cost of our dog grooming. When I tried to redeem it at Petco the charge was denied with a message of "Denied: Account Closed" (whatever that means). So I contacted Cardpool through their website (where, unbelievably, it says they respond in 1-3 days) and here I am ten days and three follow-up e-mails later, still waiting for a response. Interestingly enough, today is February 1 and their website is still showing their holiday hours; shows how on top of things they are. I have already contested the charge with my cc company, but Cardpool's lack of any response at all is what is really irritating. I was going to give them the benefit of a doubt, but no longer. Instead, on to the BBB and anyone else I can think of.
They will not pay for your gift cards or provide gift cards in exchange. Do not upload your cards to the site. You will not be paid, and you will not receive your promised gift card exchanges. There is no customer support, e-mails will go unanswered. Total scam. Stole 100 bucks from me. I was duped.
I had a couple of gift cards I wanted to sell when I came across cardpool.com couple of things about this site. They don't have a phone number where you can call and inquire or resolve issues which is very funny to me because I buy all kinds of stuff online and never saw this there are plenty of rewiews here that say nothing but good stuff about cardpool.com but from their policies they seem ignorant of their service. Who doesnt have customer service? Not saying its a bogus site just know what youre getting into.
Should have read the reviews first. Purchased a gift card on December 19th. It was unfortunately a physical card and had to be mailed... It is now January 17th and I have not received a card. I would gladly pursue this with the authorities. But who are the authorities?
They don't answer your e-mails and they do not have a telephone contact number. Stay away from these people. Went to the BBB website and read the reviews there about Cardpool. Their answer to why they no longer have a telephone contact number was so they could have better customer service... Really? You don't have a contact number for customers so you can improve your customer relations? Sounds like to me somebody forgot to pay their phone bill and maybe just maybe this so called business is going under fast. Just a theory based on all the negative reviews I read about them on the BBB website. They have way more negative reviews than they have postive yet the BBB says they are an A+ company... How can that be? I know I would never do business with them again and would not recommend them to a anyone. Just saying
Sold a $100 gift card to them to get a value of $72.50 back. Too good to be true. They say the buyout payments are processed within a day of them receiving the card, and payment should be received within a week. It's been about 3 weeks and my status is still "In Review." Sent an email to their support address and never got a response. Pretty sure I'm never getting that money. DON'T SELL CARDS TO THEM, YOU WON'T GET PAID. I don't know how this company is allowed to continue operating.
I tried to sell a CostCo gift card that had a $100 balance. Go to the website and says we don't need the gift card. Enter the card number with the PIN. Waited 3 business days days and the website says still under review. At this point, I said "Forget It".
Canceling the sale is pretty straightforward so I can't complain on that aspect.
Then I went to the local Safeway and asked about selling the gift card since CardPool says that you could sell it there. No one at Safeway knew anything about selling a gift card. (Now to be fair just maybe no one at the Safeway knew how to do the transaction but I have my doubts as I went during the middle of the day)
Cardpool was bought out last year. The formerly stellar customer service is now garbage. The selection of cards available is greatly reduced. The discounts are smaller. And, you can no longer see your Wishlist (now called Favorites) all in one place. You have to go through card by card by card to find out if you've added a card to your Favorites.
I had a 1,000$ home depot giftcatd that i could not use. Cardpool bought my card for 832$, of course I wanted all of it but your not gonna find any place to give you the full ammount. From start to finish it tool 6 days. What bothers me most is that you have to go e them a credit or debit card yet they will only issue you a payment in the form of a check. All in all im happy to get wut I got. Be prepared to wait about a week. Good luck.
Was promised an instant $80 Amazon gift card... here I am one week later and I have ONLY received auto emails asking me for more of my gift cards. No credit, no directions, no nothing... Customer service attempts have been met with run around auto responses that left me with a "we really aren't going to help you" aftertaste.
This is the first time I've felt blatantly scammed on the internet and feel more embarrassed than I do do angry.
***Do yourself a favor - STAY AWAY
I was given a $60 Marshall's card. I don't shop Marshall's so I looked online for a way to exchange it. Figured this was easy. Exchanged it for an Amazon card.
For days I received their promotional emails, each titled "Thanks for shopping with us" regarding their referral program. Never did I get an email about the exchange.
So I sent an email to support. I get a response that they just received my card a few days ago (thought this was a one business day exchange?) but that the Risk Management department (for reasons they are not able to disclose) could not accept the transaction and canceled the order.
So, not only did they not accept a valid card, but then they cancel it and tell no one.
These guys stood to make $15 on this transaction alone. Oh they are making money.
I refuse to give them MY money.
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
The company's reputation is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with gift cards that arrive with zero balances and a lack of effective customer support. Many customers report difficulties in reaching the company, citing unresponsive email communication and nonexistent phone support. While a few positive experiences exist, they are overshadowed by consistent complaints regarding service delays, unfulfilled orders, and perceived fraudulent practices. Overall, the sentiment indicates a widespread lack of trust and reliability, suggesting that potential customers should exercise caution when considering this service.
