It has been over 19 hours and I still have not received any gift card via email or any response to my inquiry. I think this is a fraudulent site and I would not buy from them ever AGAIN! Raise gave me the gift cards as soon as I purchased them.
I can't even give them any star. I believe this is how this company make money. They take your card sell them when a buyer bought your card. Then they sent you a check. I have sent them my unwanted gift cards. Take them over two to process, but I get my gift card back in another two week later. Said they unable to process my order. Give me no other reason.
Half of my purchases have been cancelled because there was no inventory. I was thrilled, done with my Christmas shopping at last but a free days later I was sunk with an email that my orders were cancelled. I boughta bunch of $50 certs for $32. Great deals! Cardpool inventory still says that they have cards available. I tried calling. Nope! Leave a message or try email. Will the cards I already purchased even work? Risk embarrassment and loss of $200 bucks? I am losing faith and very disappointed and still have to find presents when I thought I was done. You suck Cardpool! You were recommended to me and I should of went somewhere else!
This is obviously a scam. Google any keywords related to this business and it is all search engine spam on parasite hosts (free blogs, etc.). I bet all the positive comments are fake.
Offer to sell any gift card they "have in stock" and then go look at the price to buy the same valued gift card at the same merchant. The price is the same, which means that they wouldn't be making any profit. Considering the costs of running this "business", I guess they just run chronic budget deficits.
I love this quote from the Cardpool:
"Cardpool actually buys the gift cards directly from customers, verifies the authenticity and balance of each gift card, and holds on to them until a buyer is found. Even though we may never find a buyer for a given gift card, we pay sellers within 24 hours of receiving their gift card."
Yeah, they do this all for free, and even don't mind paying people for gift cards they may never find a buyer for, lol.
This is a fraud company. Please do not purchase or sell through this fraud company. I bought a gift card from them. After a few days when I checked the gift card balance, it is showing zero. I sent an email to them and inform about this. They simply said I only used that gift card there is no refund for my transaction. After that, I called BestBuy Customer support and enquired where that gift card is used. I got transaction details from bestbuy and send to cardpool. Still there is no refund this fraud company.
The customer service is very rude. They had to verify my purchase. Asked for the phone number on my credit card and asked what's my nearest cross street. And the customer rep has the audacity to ask me "do you even live there?" The receive your gift card in one day is a total lie! Do not use this service! They are rude and liars! YOU WILL GET SCAMMED!
I used to use this site and never had too many problems. Around Christmas, I sold some gift cards and didn't receive my payment. After contacting them a couple of times, a week or so later, I received my payments without any other contact. At the beginning of April, I sold a gift card and they never paid me. I have emailed twice and called, but calls just go to a generic voicemail box and nobody ever returns the calls. Nobody has contacted me back. So now they have my gift card and they won't give me my money. This place is a joke and I see I'm not the only one. I will never use this site again.
I give it one star because I can't give it any less. I purchased my gift cards from it, and they asked for a verification, then I hand it over to my husband who is the cardholder. My husband give them several phone calls, no one replies. Later on, they replied to my email and saying we can call them now. We are at work, this brings us a lot of inconvenient. Then I said cancel the electronic gift card parts, the staff there cancelled all of my purchase. A totally waste of time.
A reminder, if you don't have trouble purchasing, it works good. If there's some unexpected trouble, don't count on them working out for you! Stay away from this company.
This site is a scam. My $936 Bloomingdale gift card got "lost" in the mail, and I'm SOL. After I was conned by this group of degenerates, I started stumbling upon dozens and dozens of negative reviews with very similar, if not exactly the same story. I have reported them to the BBB, and planning on a small claims action.
Emailed cardpool to try to cancel my transaction because I hadn't heard anything from them in over a week. The person who emailed me back said they would "cancel" the transaction. I had no reason to doubt this. Two days later I go to the store only to find out that my balance was zero. Someone had made an online purchase with my card on the very same day the rep from carpool said they had "canceled" the transaction. Now they won't answer any of my emails. My advice to anyone thinking about doing "business" with cardpool is not to. Based on all these negative reviews and my experience they seem like a bunch of crooks!
I had a gift card that was given to me from my company at a Christmas party. The card that I received was no longer in business in my area but was still usable around the country. So I looked up the best place to get cash for my card and "this was it." Offered a check for cash or a card for amazon for a higher profit so I took the amazon gift card. I've been going back week after week to redeem said gift card and it keeps coming up as "Sorry, due to a temporary error, we were unable to sign into your account. Please try again." Either they have stolen my money or they are incompetent. Either way, don't waste your time, go somewhere else.
Finally after more than a week status changed to complete. Check is supposedly mailed. No check, theyre blaming USPS off course. Other mail and checks seems to arrive without any delays or problems. I took the chance of listing other cards, one cancelled for no reason. I decided to cancel the other ones myself. Obviously a company thats committing fraud and scamming people. I suspect every positive review is fake!
I was using the site to sell 3 gift cards. I input the required information and was given 2 options. The first provided a higher sell rate but sent a check by mail 10- 14 days. The second option provided instant access to funds but provided a slightly lower rate of return. I provided a credit card to receive payment. I double check everything and selected instant access. The system switched me the 1st and with lower return as if i had gotten instant access. There is no one call at the company. I would not recommend this site.
My experience with CardPool hasn't been a good one. They sent me an electronic gift card that wasn't activated. I sent them many emails, but never received a response. I'll have to dispute this charge with my credit and will notify my Attorney General as well as the BBB.
Please beware of doing business with this site!
I submitted a card for sale twice and it just sat "In Review" for weeks. First I tried the get a check option and... crickets. Cancelled that and tried the Amazon credit option and sat for several more weeks In Review. Email them you get nothing. Try the online chat and its a bot. Try to call over and over and just get a recording that they are too busy to answer right now they'll call you back but they dont. Their ad says 1 business day for amazon credit. Total BS.
I came here to see which gift-card exchange program was legit. After reading a few reviews (which were admittedly mixed) I, somewhat reluctantly went with it to exchange a gift card I'd gotten for my birthday (on something I'd never use) for a different gift card I'd actually be likely to use. I was gratified that I got the credit the day after I submitted my gift card. (It was an e-gift card, and I exchanged it for another e-gift card... so all I had to do once I got their email was use the claim code to apply to the target merchant. I vowed to myself that I'd come back and post something here for others to read. The original $100 gift card resulted in $75 at the merchant I wanted, which, while on the one hand takes away 25% of its value, on the other hand gives me value where I might actually use it. I do recommend cardpool.
I accepted an offer for my unwanted gift card and mailed it to them with their printed shipping label 2 weeks ago... the order status says they haven't received it yet and they are not responding to my emails. So apparently they just get you to mail them your gift cards and then break all contact with you.
I don't understand how they are still in business, with their stock of gift cards stolen from people. Stay far away from this scam of a business!
Edit... After a month I did receive my amazon ecard, after my forth email, which asked for my original gift card back and a complaint to BBB. Their communication is terrible (can communicate one way only thru email...) and I will not be doing business with them in the future
I've used them about 4 times over the past year with no problem. However, last week I purchased (2) lowes gift cards. My husband went to Lowes to buy a snow blower and the card was declined. After 45 minutes working with a very kind Lowe's store manager, we found out that the same cards were used that morning in North Carolina. We are in Wisconsin. The Lowe's manager didn't have to accept our card but saw we were scammed, accepted it and so Lowe's ate it. Either the theives were the NC people or Cardpool but either way, I'd be very leary to use this site again.
I sold a Burberry's card to Cardpool on June 29th, 2019 transaction #*******. I have sent several message about the status of my check. I get an email they will contact me within a day. Today is 7/11/2019 and I have not heard from Cardpool. Their phone tells you to leave a message. My card is in excess of $650.
There is no customer service telephone number (the one listed online has only a voicemail box which is never answered) and e-mails are never answered. I ordered gift cards and they were "delivered" (and my credit card charged) 7 days later. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
The company's reputation is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with gift cards that arrive with zero balances and a lack of effective customer support. Many customers report difficulties in reaching the company, citing unresponsive email communication and nonexistent phone support. While a few positive experiences exist, they are overshadowed by consistent complaints regarding service delays, unfulfilled orders, and perceived fraudulent practices. Overall, the sentiment indicates a widespread lack of trust and reliability, suggesting that potential customers should exercise caution when considering this service.
