As you can see from the attached picture, the cover began disintegrating and tearing at the seam. This began after just six months of use. I was expecting this product to last years under normal wear and tear.

After requesting a new one from CarCover.com - they told me I had to pay $95.00 for Shipping and Handling, which is nearly the amount I paid for the original cover which came with free shipping. They say don't through good money after bad money - don't waste your money on this product. I had to throw it away because it had completely fallen apart and was hanging on to my pop-up camper like a torn rag.

Junk covers
November 11, 2020

I bought the upgraded cover that is supposed to last. $439 and the cover was put on in September. When we checked on it the first week of November, this is what we found. When we removed the cover it was literally disintegrating in our hands. Their online positive reviews are crap because there is no place for buyers to leave a review. I was offer a replacement of the same cover for $95 shipping. Lifetime warranty replacement they said... For $95 every 3 months? They told me they make no claims on how long the covers will last.

As with other reviews... inferior product coupled with a warranty that is really getting you to buy it again.

Reviews on company's site also seem suspect... was unable to leave a negative review there.

Terrible
June 17, 2021

I ordered 4 covers and after 1 year they deteriorated. The pictures people have previously posted are accurate. I was charged $30 each for replacement those only lasted 1 year. These are junk covers that do not last.

Great product, really... incredibly soft, great exterior appearance (mine is black), antenna grommet included, light-moderate weight, folds/rolls up to fairly compact size, pretty fast shipping/delivery... hard to go wrong... def worth it if you the type who babies your car...

Didn't fit correctly

Order was received on time. However, cover didn't fit correctly. We sent it back waiting for a response. I emailed asking if there was a customer service number I could call to discuss our options and they responded with "not at this time".

Bought the top of the line cover for my Porsche Cayman. Immediately noticed the cover was shedding tons od tiny dust particles. So bad that even after covering right after washing the windshield needed to be cleaned to see through. Contacted customer support right away. (Their policy states 30 money back for any reason). The support person kept asking for photos which I supplied numerous times. After several emails back and forth they refused to respond. Had to dispute with credit card company. I made every attempt to resolve. They simple sell crap and do not stand behind it or their published policy. Look elsewhere. Deserves 0 Stars.

Beware: it is not a "lifetime" warranty despite the company's many statements it is and them having a very good warranty. I paid for their GOLD product (highest quality and "lifetime" warranty) to have the best warranty, and the company voided it after 4 years. In my very mild climate and me always being gentle with it, each cover this company sent did not last more than 1.5 years. I had to pay $30 for each replacement, then they told me the "lifetime" warranty is only good for 3 replacements. Upon making a warranty claim (rip, material degradation, etc.), all the company does is send you a new one for $30, which seems not too crazy, until you realize that (1) you paid for a "lifetime" warranty, not to be charged $30 every time the cover fails, and (2) that it's not "lifetime" at all if it's capped at 3 replacements (which will cost you $30 each time). It's a shady warranty practice from a company that just wants to take your money for a substandard product. (Extra star because they do respond to emails, but the cover is crap and the company will hide behind "well, that's all the fine print allows for. Please go to a legit car cover company and don't waste your money here.)

Stay away

I purchased a cover for my classic. 2 months later noticed flaking, I thought it must be a normal process. Another month goes by and i start noticing extreme flaking and material thinning. I Submit warranty, they confirm its a defective item. Yet I need to pay 30 for shipping. I contact them 3 different reps refer me to Issac warranty manager. I leave message(his vm states would get back to cust within the hr, that's a lie. Finally got a hold of him today, his cust. Skills are as good as the the cover they sent me. Beware ppl. This company has no integrity

Horrible experience

I ordered a gold shield 5L for my Toyota Supra. Should have been fleece lined. Called and sent pics. Of course their answer is it is. I am old enough and wise enough to know the difference. Would not recommend anyone buy from them!

Bought cover lasted three days. Cover tore in moderate wind 20 mph. Have credit card receipt, customer service will not remedy without order number. Inexplicably, I cannot find the email to verify order number although I have credit receipt, delivery address, and purchaser name. Stay away from these people, they are dishonest! Besides the cover was poorly made imported from China. You would be farther ahead shopping somewhere else or even a high quality cover from a hardware store would work much better.

DON'T BUY IT
August 27, 2018

My cover fell apart within three months and I only take it off my car once a week. When you send photos to them they OK a new one but then charge you $30. Seems like if I had to buy three year at $30 an already paid $140 for a cover to begin with that's quite a lot of money this company is making on for people. On top of it the fleece underneath leaves white little powder on your car and there's no way to get rid of that powder except wiping your car down. Not a good product let me tell you honestly..

I purchased the best cover they sell. It fit great and I WAS pleased. However after one year the inner lining of the cover began to break down and leave a white powdery substance on my car. I called in a claim and emailed the info to them. They agreed to send me a replacement after I send them $30 for shipping which I did. Now another year has passed and I am having the exact same issue. I called and was told that this is completely normal because the sun destroys the cover after one year. I spoke to a manager who was extremely rude and argumentative. I told him I would not spend $30 every year for a product that they claim "stands up to the harshest environments". They falsely advertise. No where does their site mention the issue I am having but on the phone they claim this is normal. Don't trust the reviews on their website. I am by far not the only one with this issue! I will buy another cover elsewhere.

I recently purchased a gold shield 5 layer cover for my 2014 ford mustang GT 2 door coupe. They advertised that the cover would arrive within 3-6 business days, the package was coming from Anaheim California I was amazed to receive my package in only 3 business days. The cover is a custom fit as advertised, there was recently a snow storm in New York City and I was happy to find my car totally dry not one ounce of water went through; their cover is a truly waterproof! I am sure I will not need the lifetime warranty any time soon.

Peter was very professional. Kept it short, but informative to understand what cover i needed. I got the 5 Layer for use in Arizona. Mostly for heat. Their top of the line cover has UV protection, also is 100% waterproof. Looks great on my truck! Let's not forget they offer a lifetime warranty for anybody that is looking for a cover this is must have.

Extremely pleased with this cover. From my first impression after opening up the box, to installing it on my truck. I'm in Michigan where the winters take a toll on most vehicles. So for that reason I have always stored or parked my 2015 GMC Sierra since I bought it new. The cover fits absolutely great and the quality feels excellent! Was also very pleased to read they come with a lifetime Warranty as well.

READ THE WARRANTY!

I bought a car cover with a lifetime guarantee that started to deteriorate in just 9 months. Carcover.com would not give me a full or even a partial refund. Instead, they told me I could pay $30 MORE and get another car cover which may or may not be as defective as the first one. BUYER BEWARE. Read the warranty. No refunds. Just exchanges. On a good note, the people I dealt with at Carcover.com were all very polite and friendly. It's their business practices I'm unhappy about.

Purchased a Gold Seal 5L cover, CarCover.com's best outdoor cover, for use on a Jeep Renegade. Cover attaches under the vehicle with two, plastic clips that are not strong enough to hold cover in place even under light wind conditions. Cover material seems well made but attaching mechanism is poorly designed and lacks strength needed for outdoor applications. Locking cable is all that kept cover from completely blowing away. Nice cover for indoor use but look elsewhere for cover to use outside. Warranty department is non-responsive. Very poor customer service.

Best customer service

After a harsh couple of winter weeks in Michigan the strap on our cover broke. I emailed the company and I had a brand new one 5 days later with no charge. They stand behind the lifetime warranty. Definitely recommend!

An exchange was made for an item of lesser value. Instead of processing my request to refund me the difference of the order in the amount $59.99, CarCover.com decided to keep my money, saying quote "it doesn't work that way".
I received no response when asked "how does it work?" Bad Faith practices apply to this Company, since they are not interested in customer satisfaction. (I've even offered to a lesser amount for 'restocking fees')

Come on CarCover.com please make it right, and refund me the difference, or I give me the number to ownership to escalate further.
