Horrible
February 7, 2024

Had a credit card for years. Always paid my monthly balance, I have great credit rating. They only gave me 5000 limit. Twice I asked for a small increase and was denied. No reason given except they say we don't do things that way. What kind of customer service is that, I mean who works for who anyway?

No customer loyalty

Capital One sucks! I had two different charges on my card that I disputed. One, I purchased a Breitling watch box. The box was advertised as genuine but was so fake anyone could see that. They sided with the merchant. That merchant got kicked off the platform they were selling on because of this. Cap one said that they received an invoice from the seller and that's how they made their decision! The second one, we bought lightbulbs through a barter company. We had to pay for the shipping with our credit card. We got a quote for the shipping for $81.33. Two days later there was another charge for $188.10. The person that we bought the bulbs from said that they didn't make that charge. But what they did do was give my credit card info directly to UPS and UPS decided that we didn't pay enough for the shipping! I can buy the same type and quantity bulbs on Amazon for $200 including shipping! They send you this form to fill out and most if it isn't applicable to my dispute but they will tell you that they don't have enough information because the form wasn't filled out. I sent a letter with it describing exactly what happened. And basically, Capital One says that if I give my credit card number to someone and they use it for anything else, that isn't considered fraud! I'm going to cancel my Cap one cards, all 4 that I pay off every month for at least $20,000 per month and stick with my American Express!

One of Worst Banks
February 3, 2024

I had issue with Groupon and Capital One disputed the claim for me. Then Groupon put charge back on my account. I have talked to 10 or more people at Capital One. Most do not speak good English. There are a lot of people from the Philippines. They do not have good comprehension. Capital One sided with Groupon and said I would have to dispute each charge if Groupon keeps putting charge on account. The manager at Capital One told me that since Groupon had my number that they could make reacuring charges, and even if I changed my credit card number, they could still charge me. I talked to many managers. They didn't care. I do not like this. Capital One should protect me. This has been a total pain to deal with. I have had card for 18 years and I just decided I didn't want the hassle anymore. Capital One should protect me and not let creditors abuse me. Therefore, I do not deal with Capital One anymore. I closed my account.

They could care less
February 1, 2024

Paid my minimum due with my points ($19.85) Got a late fee for $32.00. Twice what my minimum due was. Was told points don't count for monthly payments. If I would have known I would have just used my debit card. I never, ever in 6 years have even called or asked for anything. My credit score is over 800+. The Rep and Manager refused to issue a refund. Even though I paid my minimum due 10 days early. Was never told points don't count for minimum due. They lost a 30k a year customer over $32.00. That I already paid with their own digital currency… Worst CC company I've ever dealt with. Guess it will
Just be Amex and Mission Lane from here on out. Unbelievable they wouldn't issue a $32.00 credit to someone who has never had a late fee in their life and had a 20k credit line with them… Byeeeeee

Stay away from this company "Capital One"! I use their credit card to make a purchase, then the statement came and I pay the full balance on time before the due date. Guess what?! Next statement period came and these SOB hit me with an interest charge! I called customer service, she told that since interest accrued daily so even if I payoff the full balance before the due date there's still going to be interest! Can you freaking believe this sh--?! In other words, if you plan on used their credit card to make any purchases at all, then get ready to pay some interest no matter what. So stay away from this fraudulent bank!

My husband and I had a terrible experience with capital one travel recently for our flight for our Wedding. We both booked Business class tickets and paid the same fare however Capital One put my husband on an economy leg on the way back despite booking Business Class and paying the same fare.

We contacted Capital One Travel and the supervisor Darwin was unempathatic towards the fact that they put my husband in economy despite charging us a business class fare. We were on the phone with him for an hour and not once did he show any compassion or try to help us. We asked multiple times for help and he implied we are out of luck knowing there was still availability for them to upgrade him due their mistake. Up until now we've have positive experiences with capital one however this one experience helped us realize that the company does not care and even though we are flying back from our wedding they refused to help us.

Worst card EVER!
January 25, 2024

First of all, an Interest rate of 30% is a disgrace! They are not flexible at all and recite from a book like mind numbed robots. After paying my balance in full, I immediately closed the card. I had previously asked for help in paying the card and their answer was to give me 3 months of reversed late fees if necessary. Unreal! I cannot blame them for my balance but I can say that they, unlike other banks out there, have zero flexibility. You are better off with no credit at all than to use capital one.

Not impressed
January 24, 2024

I was wirh Capital One for years. Closed my account at the end of Oct 2023. Had a balance on it. I called twice to see when it would be mailed out. The first person said it would be end of Jan. The second person asked me if i wanted it my refund mailed. Who even asks that? Its my money and Capital One should have mailed it, no questions asked without me having to ask for my money back. I left them because the i interest is high, annual fee is bull$#*! and no rewards. I got a new card where the Interest was way lower and I get reward points.

I accepted a 0% introductory rate on a credit card from this company. My credit rating is almost 800. I really did not need it. They never notified me that the introductory rate was canceling! I called a representative and asked why they did not as required inform me that the rate was canceling. She put me on hold and never came back. I called back and spoke to an account manager who was the rudest most condescending individual I've ever spoken to. I paid the balance off immediately and closed the credit card. I guarantee you this company is destroying families!

Poor Call Centre Service
January 18, 2024

I called to have a payment refunded and these guys told me different information whenever I called to get it resolved. One person told me to provide proof of payment for a payment that he see's on the screen in front of him... then when I get transferred the agent tells me there's no need for proof of payment. I've called 4 different times and heard something different each time. It's clear that the associates are not trained properly or they're just terrible at their jobs. I'm extremely happy I'm no longer with this joke of a company.

My balance on my credit card was $1,500. And due on 1-4-2024. I paid $1,000.00 from one of my bank accounts at that time C1 locked my online bank not allowing me to pay the remaining $500.00 When I finally got a C1 employee on the phone I was told that, I didn't have to make a payment because my min was paid, I then explained to the lady that I paid my bills in full. She then unlocked my account, and I then paid the remaing 500.00 and the lady from c1 said she would note my account. C1 charged me a $10.26 interesest charge because, their online banking is set up to glitch and charge you money, steal money from you. I don't pay interest or carry a balance on my credit cards, my history reflects that, and C1 knows this. C1 is such a crooked bank, this past summer, 2023 they contacted my bank 1st citizens to varify that, the bank account that, I made my credit card payment from was mine, I had to contact the bank via 3 way call. This was very disrespectful and embarrassing. C1 has a very uncommon practice and the people they hire are not at all professional. In my opinion C1 needs to be investigated and its customer service overhauled

Funds in availability
January 13, 2024

Capital one sucks. Once they have your money, you can not use it for at least 4-5 days, even though it shows as being deposited! They need to collect that little bit of interest for themselfs instead of letting the customer do things with their own money!

Tried to wire the same transaction over and over again. They flagged my phone I used for 2-step verification! Reverted the wire, made me call the customer service 5 times in 3 days to unblock account because guess what, I cannot use my phone to verify myself, even though this number is on my account for 6 years I've been with this bank and I'm super done with this because I have to deal with this every time I wanna send someone money. Insane, they don't get feedback seriously
